The restaurant was very good. Staff lovely Food is really good value Pleasant surroundings Excellent wine. Reception staff are very nice, friendly, and helpful. Nice lounge and bar area. Room was lovely on the whole. Good size TV with HD channels. Pleasing view of gardens and ferris wheel. Superb location. Definitely like to return

The poached egg looked lovely but was cold with an otherwise lovely breakfast. Similar issue with the starters luke warm and the chicken dinner could have been hotter. Such a shame as the taste was really good. Bedroom windows sills have peeling paint and cracking paper. Toilet wasn't cleaned, which was very off-putting. Reception apologised and offered to attend to it.

The position was very good a short pleasant walk across the Avon to the town. Our room was large and comfortable and nicely furnished. The staff were friendly and helpful. The car parking was good and reasonably priced

The bedroom was next to the lounge and one of the entrance corridors and consequently noisy. The breakfast was not in the hotel but in the adjoining Bistro Pierre. The menu was limited and could not be adjusted, there was no fruit available. The Chef was poor and served poorly cooked items. The pain au chocolat was served nearly raw. There was obviously no quality control on the pass. The breakfast tea and coffee were poor quality. The next table who had obviously been before brought their own tea.

Room was nice size , car park was perfect. Position was excellent for access of town. The Bistot Pierre restaurant breakfast was failing on many points, in fact so bad they may well go out of business soon, the staff were trying thier best but the system they had to work under was not designed for a hotel of the Swans Nest size. Eg.. two days they had run out of marmalade and muesli. You had to carry your own cup, saucer, and pot to the table.. for some elderly patrons struggled to get themselves to their table.

The the lack of restaurant service. Quality and choice of the breakfast .

Staff were very helpful Hotel was clean and Car parking reasonable so close to the centre at £5 per day. Breakfast was good with plenty of variety. Dinner had a good choice which should suit most tastes

Travelled with family one of whom has unfortunately has to use a scooter. Disabled access is only via the car park entrance or one other fire exit as there are steps at the front. Pet cost at £15 per night is excessive compared to most hotels I have stayed in. Found it a bit confusing that both the pub and dining room are not part of the hotel even though they are part of the building so meals and drinks cannot be put on the room bill but you have to pay seperately

This is our fourth visit to the hotel and to be honest, cannot fault it. Rooms are lovely and spacious. I know some rooms have been updated and some haven't as we haven't always stayed in the same room, but I suppose unless you close it you can't expect every room to be done when it's a busy hotel. Staff very lovely, common areas are welcoming. Bistro is nice to have breakfast in. The bar that sits on the river opposite is lovely too.

It's our fourth stay so wouldn't return if we didn't enjoy - so that speaks volumes. If I was to pick hairs, there are some high traffic corridors that could do with a bit of TLC, but that is probably due to kids and peoples luggage, which would be a constant repair job - so it's an absolute picking hairs problem.

Location was excellent building was lovely.. bed was really comfy and the lovely bar manager went over and above. friendly reception staff.

When we arrived it was a little disconcerting not to be able to find our room straightaway and I needed to ask the receptionist 3 times for correct directions.. whilst receptionist staff were friendly and We have no complaints it might be useful to consider offering to show guests where their room is if some distance away. We did not realise there is no lift which meant guests have to bump cases up and down stairs Our Shower tray needed attention as did not drain water away properly Toilet seat was slipping also

Clean, with a comfortable King-size bed, stylish decor, excellent bistro friendly, helpful staff.

Was not in a good place to reach late at night. Accessing the hotel meant walking down a lonely unlit pathway which, although busy during the day, was deserted at night. However, the staff were helpful in booking taxis for me in order to return safely after theatre visits. Additionally, as a disabled person, I found the entrance steps somewhat difficult to negotiate with a mobility aid, however, there were many kind and helpful people around, providing assistance.

Fantastic location right on the footbridge to the centre of town. A few minutes from the theatre. Comfortable rooms and a great sleep. Decent breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.

Some bits of the room (bathroom) weren't entirely clean. Told housekeeping who looked unfussed. Told we could only have breakfast at 7.30am or 10am due to a big coach party booking all slots between 8 and 10. But the breakfast room was practically empty with very few other diners until we left at 9.15. So it was a much earlier and rushed start than we wanted or felt was necessary. Baffling.

Wonderful friendly staff.

Before our stay I received an email from booking.com asking for additional card details I contacted Swans nest and the email was not by them it was a scam through booking.com. Because of this we have lost our trust in booking.com. We will return to this hotel however we will no longer use booking.com to book this, we will book our stay directly through swans nest so they receive all the money and on time. If you would like to stay at swans nest book it directly through them.

the hotel room was excellent as were the public areas staff on reception first class unfortunately this cannot be said of the restaurant which I assume is run as a separate enterprise.Having worked for many years in the hospitality industry I tend not to be over critical but after waiting 30 minutes for our cooked breakfast I was told there was only 1 chef on duty and it would not be long I observed a table next to ours that had come in much later than us had been served When it did arrive 1 small rasher of bacon 2 sausages a fried egg a mushroom half a tomato and beans seemed poor.I would definitely stay at this hotel again but not eat there.

Beautiful room great location.
