Log fires, fine menu, spotless extensive comfortable room attentive staff well worth a 9.5 rating. Thanks to you all at the Manor for making my birthday so enjoyable.

The automatic 11% gratuity included on the restaurant bill. I would like to be able to set what gratuity I gave , it could have been quite a bit more than the 11% but I wasn't given the option.

Superb situation, very near Stratford and road links, but also extremely peaceful and rural- best of all worlds Staff were exceptionally friendly and we were able to use the lovely spa pool included in the already very good rate. The bed and room were unusually comfortable, clean and luxurious. Breakfast was plentiful- self service for both cereals etc and cooked food. The type on offer was fine, but not terribly wide choice on the continental side, However, improving their coffee was the only thing I’d suggest Billesley could upgrade. Otherwise full marks and we would go back with pleasure in a heartbeat. A wonderful find.

Nothing. Maybe offer wider range/type coffee in room and breakfast. Invest in some nespresso machines and better coffees( not just instant and weak cafetières) then it would be pretty perfect

The hotel and grounds were lovely, and the terrace was a great place to sit and relax. It is a beautiful hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was good to have a tennis court to use. It was also interesting to visit the nearby All Saints Church and to read about the history. It was really easy to get into Stratford on Avon, using the Park and Ride facilities (for which the charges had been removed for August).

The pillows were uncomfortable. There was a missing window stay so we had to improvise to keep the window open as it was very hot and stuffy in the room. The nozzle on the hairdryer was missing. For a deluxe room at that price it needed a little more care for the finer points of detail and could have had a few more facilities, and been a better kept decoration wise. The dinner menu was repetitive, so I would not choose the dinner allowance inclusive break again, particularly as you cannot carry over the allowance from one night to the next or offset it against other nights. This was unclear from the booking terms and conditions when we booked. The spa was a bit basic. There were a lot of wasps by the tables on the terrace and there needed to be more wasp traps.

Beautiful country manor house with nice gardens. Property is in very good condition with preserved period features, creating a cosy atmosphere in the reception and bar areas. Our room was a good size with a comfortable bed, nice bathroom and cleaned well. The staff were friendly, welcoming and informative and overall we enjoyed our stay.

Location was a little further from Stratford-upon Avon than the 3.5 miles stated on booking.com - perhaps this was the 'as the crow flies' distance, but nevertheless is misleading! Public transport is very limited and the nearest bus stop is awkward to get to. I accept this is a country house hotel where people are probably expected to have a car/use taxi's. But....... the car park was not big enough for the demand during our stay and the marked spaces were very small - we did manage to find a spot eventually.

Hotel was excellent, room was spotless every day, Spa was lovely and again spotlessly clean. Superb food. Beautiful location. ALL the staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. We loved our stay.

There could have been a bigger indoor bar/socialising area, When we are away we like to chat to fellow guests but there was only a couple of tables by the bar and they are used for bar meals (as opposed to restaurant meals) so nowhere to sit and chat once the sun went in and the temp dropped, the other seating near the bar was in reception so not really anywhere there to sip and drink and chat to others as both were on the main walkway/route through the hotel. BUT THIS IS THE ONLY MINOR CRITISISM WE HAD. The hotel is a wonderful place to stay.

The Manor House is just that. Beautiful old building sympathetically modernised to accommodate all you would expect from a top class hotel. It’s history is well maintained and a pleasure to have experienced. The only proviso being you certainly need to be able bodied to negotiate access in some areas. However there is provision to assist people’s needs. The period features and fixtures and furniture are all outstanding

We didn’t have any criticism. The only thing I would comment on is be prepared to pay above normal rates at the bar and food. Example being a bottle of wine could cost anything up to £40. But the experience overrides the cost

Let's be honest, we complain. We complain about the big stuff and if there is no big stuff, we complain about the little stuff. My partner and I stayed at Billesley Manor Hotel and from the moment we arrived on the car park to the moment we left the car park about 24 hours later, we were in hotel perfection. I cannot find a single word of criticism for this place. The staff, utterly delightful. The venue, heavenly. The facilities, everything we needed. The food, sublime. The spa, hit the spot. The secret church, moving. The four poster bedded room, simply wonderful. I urge everyone to stay away from this place because I want them to have availability for when we go back, again and again and again.

We didn't like the fact we had to leave!! We would have stayed all week. We would have stayed all month. If my partner had her way, we would have moved in!! Is it expensive? Well, it is not cheap. Is it worth the money? Every penny and let's be honest, that doesn't happen often, does it?...

Absolutely stunning hotel. The gardens are just beautiful with ample outside seating. Tranquil surroundings. The hotel is clean and light and welcoming. We stayed in a suite and it was huge with a four poster bed which was super comfortable. Huge bath rooom which was clean and bright with a big bath and great shower. Breakfast was great, lots of choice. Spa is lovely clean and relaxing Bar area with great selection of drinks. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back

There was clearly an event on in the evening and the hearing the happy jolly voices was lovely however we were right above the bar and it went on until about 1am which can’t be helped but did keep us awake later than we would have liked.

The hotel looked fantastic, brilliantly styled, lots of room in the public areas, and exceptionally clean. Well done housekeeping. Using the spa was an unexpected bonus and next time we come we will book a treatment for sure. We asked for an accessible room and this was very well equipped, and in the main part of the hotel - often with disability you are located in poor accommodation, which wasn’t the case here. I’d suggest they could paint the modern corridor we were in to match the rest of the hotel, but perhaps this is planned. The staff we met were fabulous, really efficient and friendly. Loved it there and will definitely return.

We were able to park in a disability space and this was essential for us but I think there are only two - perhaps another one or two would be useful ?

Room as to be expected with en-suite with complimentary toiletries. Tea & coffee in room. Shower great, plenty of control between temperatures. We had dinner on the 9th May plenty to choose from the menu. The staff in the restaurant were attentive. The bar staff are a credit to the hotel, a welcoming smile. What I did find a nuisance was exiting the hotel and being unable to pass through the barrier I rang the intercom but no answer, typed my room number still no response. I had then to reverse back to the carpark where there was a groundsman/maintenance person who gave us the passcode. The passcode should have been given to us when we arrived at check-in.

On arrival on the 8th May the guy at the desk was somewhat distracted as his attention was not on us. He was a little dismissive when directed us to the Barn "It's over there on the right" There was no umbrellas in reception when the weather is inclement. No passcode for exiting beyond the barrier.
