Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was spacious and attractive and the bed extremely comfortable. The food was good too, both for dinner and breakfast. Views from the hotel are splendid though sadly the weather was not too bright: there must be some wonderful sunsets looking west from the dining room.

I would have welcomed some instructions about how to use the shower! My husband has Parkinson's so was afraid to use it altogether as there was nothing to hold on to to help him get in. A walk-in shower would have been easier. There is no lift either, which would have been a help, but during this trip we discovered that hotels in listed buildings are often not permitted to install lifts.

We were away for my husbands birthday. I'd prearranged a bottle of prosecco upon arrival as a birthday treat but the staff at Hatton Court went further and signed a card and provided a complimentary drinks voucher to use in their bar (nice touch!). Our needs were catered for, the accommodation is well presented and nothing seemed too much for staff. The evening meal and breakfast in the Tara Restaurant was out of this world, delicious and again the staff did not disappoint with the high quality service. We will definitely visit again!

I think if I were to share some constructive criticism, it would just be down to some aesthetics. The bathroom was pretty tired. However, it was well stocked, and I certainly wasn't expecting to be provided with a jacuzzi style bath, which for us having comprimised on a spa to book here was the real cherry on top!

Very spacious room, great bar and restaurant, peaceful, friendly staff and comfortable, the jacuzzi filled very quickly and was a decent size.

I paid for a superior room with a spa bath (it was a jacuzzi with less jets than a spa bath) the bathroom was old, tired and tatty with paint flaking around the bath, the toilet water sat very high with a limescale ring around it and the once gold taps were worn. When running the water to fill the jacuzzi the water ran around the tap over the edge of the bath, so floor mat or towel needed to stop the water causing a puddle on the floor, potential accident. The bathroom was really the only let down and it could do with a lick of paint and carpet in the corridor had seen better days

The location and the cottage-like design. It has a meticulously maintained garden adorned with vibrant flowers and a charming lanscape. Stepping inside, we were greeted by a cozy rustic decor, complete with a fireplace that adds a warm touch, creating an ambiance of serenity that made it an ideal retreat for us.

The shower was quite small and bed too small for a couple.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and quiet with a good-sized bed and bathroom The hotel was in a beautiful location and very close to the town centre.

The mattress and pillows were a bit hard/uncomfortable but as we were only staying for one night, it wasn't a massive issue. The bathroom was a good size but the shower facilities might be a bit tricky for people with accessibility issues, as it was a shower over a bath rather than a shower cubicle.

The location is excellent- on the hill very tranquil and full of period characters. much attention is paid to details and effortless charm spotted every now and then - which are increasingly rare to find these days. This place has got character- not eager to please but you know you are looked after. We will definitely return.

The Tara restaurant- food is excellent. service are attentive, but there was no table cloth (for dinner) and the table lamp( or maybe tea light?) was not lit which was a disappointment.

had a Gorgeous room with a wonderful view thanks to Claire the receptionist. She also let me store a Wedding cake which had traveled with us for a wedding the next day which was exceptionally helpful. The Bar staff were very friendly and gave good advice about the area and taxi services etc , Breakfast was sooo good and although it was busy Jackie was really attentive and so polite and helpful . Will definitely go back and will make sure we book into the restaurant next time!

Helpful staff, beautiful lounge with real fires and wonderful restaurant with more helpful staff.

Our room was getting a little shabby around the edges, especially in the bathroom. I think a renovation is in order. The king size bed was two single mattresses pushed together which many people would be fine with but my partner did not like.

Fabulous hotel in beautiful surroundings.The staff were really helpful and engaging, and very friendly to our little dog. We stayed in a junior suite, and it was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. We had afternoon drinks sat on the veranda enjoying exceptional views and beautiful weather, we also chose to sit outside for our evening meal, of fish and chips, followed by sticky toffee pudding, it was to die for 😋

The position of the hotel is amazing really beautiful views from the terrace. We sat watching buzzards flying for ages. It was very quiet and peaceful. The food in the restaurant was great and staff helpful and friendly

It was slightly tired in terms of decor. If you have mobility issues you need to ask for a ground floor room as there a lot of steps and no lifts
