The hotel was quite nice, the lady who checked me in was really lovely and really helpful with suggestions on what to do around Swansea. The housekeeping staff were really lovely and always ready to help. I also liked that you could skip daily room cleans, which was a win for me sustainability wise

The location would have been fine if the buses were more regular/if you have a car. However when I went the buses had just become less regular as most of the students had gone home so this meant I had to walk to town as there were no ubers in Swansea which was about 30 mins away.

Clean, well kept, free parking, decent sized room, friendly staff, quick check-in and a good base for Swansea and the Gower, though a car needed for both.

Room allocated to new arrival while we still had 24 hours to go & they let themselves in before we realised what was happening. Not a problem as we were both in and quickly sorted at Reception, but not comfortable with the idea someone else had access to the room. Although on the map it appears hotel is close to the docks/sea, in reality, it's a drive away from anywhere worth walking. Swansea parking costs are very high. Just over 4 hours in the shopping centre car park £9.50 and going rate for most car parks is £4.50 for two hours.

My husband is in a wheelchair but we didn’t have an accessible room. He was still able to use the shower but struggled to get the wheelchair over the metal strip access to the bathroom. The staff on duty those four nights were so helpful. Oliver the chef provided a tray to help my husband eat on his lap in the bar area. Best macaroni cheese ever!!! Maria took me around to see the two accessible rooms for us to book in the future and she and Nicola were so very helpful. Also the cleaner.

We should have booked an accessible room which has bars , a seat and support structures in the shower. The access into the bathrooms need to be flat to allow a wheelchair user the independence to access .

What's to like -- Clean room Amazing hot shower Bed nice and comfy Digitally efficient room heater All modern looking and everything working great The little restaurant and mini bar is enough and food tasty The price for what you get is amazing. Plus FREE parking!! Staff are amazing. Housekeeping is prompt. I have stayed in much pricer hotels in 2022/23 and struggle to match Swansea ibis

This is not an executive hotel, but is worth so much more than two star. Critique -- The clientele seem to be young crowds or young families with children or building contractors. So the corridor can be loud, and doors might bang. Also the rooms could be more soundproofed.. this is not the place for a honeymoon stay ;0) If I were to be super fussy the cervices and corners not usually seen aren't 100% clean (under bed, behind furniture, around wall plugs) but the bathroom was sparkling :)))

Good breakfast with a range of hot and cold foods and drinks. I like the way that they avoid too much wastage of packaging by storing the foodstuffs in jars etc and having loose leaf tea in jars. The dining area is very pleasant and the lounge area by reception is well used by visitors. We liked the design of the furnishings and rooms too. Free parking provided: just remember to enter your vehicle registration on the tablet at reception. Lovely walks along the front into town.

A shelter for smokers so they don’t congregate outside the door?

Slightly out of town, which was exactly what I wanted for a lone female traveller. You can walk in to town, would be 20-30 mins & you can walk to the beach via the docks, 20mins. Breakfast we good, simple, self service. Evening meals simple but to my liking, food such as fish & chips, chicken kiev pizza, ribs etc. McDonalds opposite as well. Room was clean and comfortable.

Nothing, I was good with everything, it met my needs exactly.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing seemed to be bother and we could get assistance with anything we needed. Check-in and check-out was simple and there was ample parking. We went out one day and I had forgotten some money in the room on the desk. It was not a great deal - probably like £40 or something. The room was cleaned that day and the money was not touched. I 100% have to commend the cleaning Staff honesty! Well Done!!

The hot breakfast really needs looking at. The scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages are made for first service and by the time we came to eat at 8am the eggs had separated and lay in a pool of water. The bacon was dry as anything and the sausages were rock hard. The toaster also took a good 5 to 6 minutes to brown the bread. When I commented a Staff member jokingly said "oh we have a new one somewhere". Well get it out and let your frustrated guests use the new one!

Located near Killay Hill so enjoyed a good walk No limit on the teabags and milk each evening

The hot water for a shower, wasn't hot Absence of a rack for towels Absence of a bath mat to prevent slipping over Absence of a comfortable chair to sit on at the desk Not everyone drives to the location so why not create a separate footpath entrance from the pavement by removing part of the fence where people have already taken short cuts - see photo

Warmest of welcomes from Marie on reception when I arrived was followed by an unexpected upgrade on the room - which was very well appointed. Bed extremely comfortable. Bathroom was spotless as was the rest of the room. Altogether a really good experience - beyond expectations!

An even quieter room woukd have been on the top floor - ground floor room had someone above me who was a little heavy- footed. Black out curtains let in light at top and sides

We enjoyed every aspect of our stay, from start to finish. Our room (222) was spacious, comfortable and well-equipped; we slept soundly. The hotel reception/lounge is large and has several seating areas. Breakfast was excellent - a good range of hot and cold food, replenished as necessary by staff. Dog friendly in almost every way - the one downside being a shortage of grass in the immediate area. The level walk along a pedestrianised was into the city centre was easy - around 20mn, but lined with benches for those wanting a rest, or just to enjoy the waterside. My husband announced he would be happy to return for a few days and use it as a base for exploring Swansea and the surrounding area.
