The hotel is situated some 200m from the sea front. Plenty of parking spaces. We had a room in the grounds which was large and warm. An excellent inclusive breakfast was served. The scrambled egg was well prepared (which I cannot normally say in most places I have stayed at!) The food at dinner time was also to a high standard.

Although the room was very large, the bathroom was surprisingly very small! We had to ask for the shower doors to be re-hung on their runners. The main room was mainly lit with spotlights .. not to my taste, though popular with many people. It is more like a Star Trek transporter room!! It looses that 'homely' feel.

The hotel was ideally located and we had a good stay overall.

The breakfast menu boasted about the vegetarian options but every morning I asked for the veggie bacon to be included it was not available, leaving the hot options limited for vegetarians like myself. If it isn’t an option every morning then remove it from the menu!!! Also, I asked for soda bread, when it came the chef had toasted it and plastered it in olive oil meaning I didn’t have another staple of my breakfast on the first morning as asking for original request to be re-done would have meant the rest of my breakfast would have been cold by the time it would have arrived as the waitress was a little slow to say the least.

Very friendly and helpful staff, innovative appetisers offered prior to my main meal which was excellent too. Walked the talk , witnessed Covid cleaning in operation and individual portions of sauces, mini milk urns on offer. Hearty breakfasts on offer but also able to choose smaller plates. Great location to see the amazing scenery the area has to offer.

Biblical rain but not the hotels fault! A wet room would help but appreciate not viable for acts of nature. Major renovation works along the coast road towards the Pier and lighthouse, both of which not accessible during my visit. I found no mention of this when looking at places to visit but on reading the site boards need these works to keep the bay area, will be stunning when complete, do not be disheartened as the icecream parlour and fish and chip restaurant are well worth the walk!.

The location was perfect as was the breakfast although I got a bit fed up with the same thing every day. I was disappointed that there was nowhere to put things in the room. I’d have liked a larger space by the kettle. The drawers in the sink unit in the bathroom took a lot of getting used to. I’d have liked to have had some space round the basin. I’d have also liked a bedside cabinet as one between us was no good.

As I’ve said the space for things in the bathroom and by the kettle could have been better.

Located close main section of Mumbles - walking distance to town and restaurants- room very clean and comfortable- -staff very helpful and friendly - excellent variety of buffet and hot cooked breakfasts - plenty of parking.

We were in a room in the annex of the hotel. It was situated on the ground floor next to entrance , and the stairs to the rest of the annex. Although most residents were respectful of this situation,it was inevitable that there was noise from the exit door and people walking and moving around upstairs

The staff were very helpful & approachable, the room had everything I needed and was a great value for money. And the breakfast was excellent, veggie & vegan cooked options were a great addition especially for the price the stay.

It's not that I didn't like it but I would caution some guests that if you struggle to sleep in slightly louder environments than I'd advice requesting a room in the main property. I stayed in one of the little rooms that adjoined the main house which had it's own entrance. Personally I enjoyed my stay especially coming & going without trapesing through the main hotel but the walls were quite thin & you could hear your fellow guests quite often. This really didn't bother me but I can see how it may affect some people's stay.

Everything really, the staff were very helpful and cheery, nothing was to much trouble. The breakfasts were superb , a beautifully presented cold continental buffet and a wide choice of cooked breakfast cooked after order and not from a buffet. We ate in one evening and I can only say the menu was a delight and the food was excellent, compliments to the chef.

Not the hotels fault, I am disabled but just a leg amputation. I had not appreciated that the standard double room was a little small for me and showering was difficult. If I were able bodied then the room would have been a delight, furnished to a high standard who ever chose the decorations had done a superb job. The fixtures and fitting were of a high quality. The whole hotel oozes quality.

The room had nice bed & decor and was clean / comfortable. The shower was very good with fast speed and plenty of hot water. Staff were very professional and polite. The breakfast in particular was excellent with table service cooked breakfast, good vegetarian cooked breakfast option, and excellent choice of yoghurts, cereals etc. The dining area was very nice for breakfast / restaurant (we didn't use the restaurant during our stay). Room service option of pizza was nice, although found toppings a bit rich / a bit too much cheese, but good to have the option. The parking was also very good with enough parking places within the hotel during our stay. The location was perfect to be within easy walking distance of shops/restaurant/beach etc.

Didn't like that there was a locked door at the back of the room leading to back access / seemed a bit odd. Was initially unsure about being on ground floor with floor to ceiling door/window in terms of privacy, but just meant needing to draw curtain during day for full privacy & was not really an issue. The noise from the room above was quite loud with floorboards etc. and could hear people talking quite clearly, and was kept up until early hours on the first night due to loud talking etc. Also noise from back of room e.g. a wash room was a little loud. Probably due to the location, the TV signal was patchy and WIFI was quite weak although still sufficient and helpful to have.

Breakfast was great only problem with room was it was really tiny Opened front door and almost fell onto bed also no where to hang clothes was a big industrial fan in cupboard and was only half length hanging not enough for more than 2 thing so the dress I had for a very special family reunion ended up being very creased we will definitely stay again in a better grade room this was a last minute booking We met a lady the following week on our trip around wales who actually got married at Norton House and consequently found out some friends had also stayed with you before Position was great a bonus was we could leave our car with you day we checked out to go walk along the mumbles where we had honeymooned 54 years before Even the weather was good!! Sorry for delay have had illness Many thanks 😊🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

The clothes hanging was hopeless and drawers inadequate but as only one night we managed my husband had to leave his suit and our case in car no room but it’s super place lovely staff

Norton House is conveniently situated in a very pleasant part of Mumbles. The staff were most helpful and very courteous. The room was very comfortable and spotless and the breakfasts were freshly prepared and we were offered a good choice of food.

There were a couple of minor problems :- The shower water was very hot because the cold water couldn’t be controlled but when we alerted reception it with quickly dealt with. The TV aerial had to be adjusted by a member of staff as it frequently showed ‘no signal’. The weather was warm and we kept the window open so we were woken each morning at 6.30 by a delivery vehicle reversing into the car park. There seemed to be quite a loud noise connected to the shower system from other rooms. We are sorry to sound so negative as we enjoyed our stay and we would recommend Norton House to our friends. However we would like to make you aware of the minor problems we experienced.
