Did like the breakfast.
Was disappointed with the parking payed £27.00 in advance was told by the staff, if we went out and there are no empty spaces it was our problem , we did have a problem one day but did find a space when someone left I think if you pay in advance you should have a alacated space .

The suite was very comfortable and clean breakfast was good and plenty of options from cooked breakfast to pastries and fruit all in all a very pleasant stay for the night... staff were pleasant and welcoming at check in location very good...within walking distance to town
The only thing that I would have to say is that the decor could do with updating carpets were a little dated and grubby in some places and could be replaced ..one of the lifts didn't like to take more than one person which was a little annoying being up on the top floor...other than that there were no other issues

checked in went really well very smoothly was greeted by a polite nice young man who was very helpful checked me in within 5 minutes said which room I was in ( room 216) this was a lovely room very clean and also had shutter on the inside of the room which i thought when i walked in this was a good idea as curtains sometimes let light come through. really good weekend went down for the Air show which was really good highly recommended to go and see Breakfast was a help your self service which Prefer this as you get to help your self to what you want Huge selection to choose from to cereal fruit yoghurts toast Eggs scrambled and fried bacon sausage beans has browns mushrooms you name it also had a huge selection of drinks such as apple juice, orange juice, coffee, tea and water. this is my 2nd time staying at this hotel and will be staying again in May 2024 day came to check out which was before 11am caught lift downstairs and walked over to the reception desk and gave my key card back to the lady and asked if she could check a booking which I made but wasn't sure if it had been paid for she was so helpful and told me that it had not been paid and that i had till a week before may 2024 to pay for it which was fine.

Upon arrival, the staff were great, very helpful and attentive. The lobby was well laid out and spacious. The room was a good size, with good air-con, and a comfy bed. Very clean and tidy. We stayed one night to see a show in the new Swansea arena and it suited this perfectly. A short walk into the city but far enough away from the main nightlife to get. Good night sleep. Parking us available on site, sign in at reception. Approx £9 per night. The parking is very limited so recommend early arrival to get a space!
Small car park but that can't be helped on such a central location

great location, comfortable beds, toiletries were provided, and room size was exactly as expected. overall enjoyed my short stay here.
hotel needs some renovation as it appeared a bit outdated but has a lot of potential. towels smelled a bit strange, had a vinegar odor on them but were clean. only 1 lift was working out of 2, but as it was quiet with not many guests, wasn't an issue for my stay. wifi connection signed out even when phones were still in the room but if not in use after an hour. so had to sign in each time in the morning. but overall connection/signal was good!

I stay a couple of nights in Swansea every year but this was my first time at the Dragon. Just a short walk from the railway station and very close to shops, bars, etc. Very clean in reception and my room and the staff are welcoming. Room had everything I needed and had a nice view from floor 6. Very comfortable bed, nice big TV. I didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that.
It was a bit too noisy on floor 6 overnight due to a large group having a get together in the room across from me. Glad I packed my ear plugs! Tiny elevators, so would sometimes have to wait a while to get into one. The stairs option was good enough though.

We loved the central location of this property. So easy to walk to the restaurants and shops, and the station & bus stops. Upon our arrival, after a long journey from the USA, we were greeted by the friendliest receptionist Lee who was so welcoming and helpful. We stayed for 4 nights and he was the highlight of our stay, always smiling and ready to assist. Our rooms only had 1 pillow each and it was no problem to get more sent up to the rooms when we asked. If we needed anything else like extra coffee or milk and sugar, it was never an issue. The beds are so comfortable and the rooms cozy and always clean and serviced. Even though it is an older property it adds to the charm in our opinion. If one wants super modern and updated then rather look somewhere else. This suited our needs as a family perfectly.
One night of a huge group of very unruly guests who were a law unto themselves made a lot of noise and trouble throughout the night, and we feel that the staff was probably also very nervous to confront them and probably should gotten the hotel manager and police involved instead. Other than that we cannot complain about anything.

All staff are lovely from reception to breakfast. Location couldn't be better for central Swansea. Near to train, bus station, shops and waterfront. Room not too big but good bathroom and hanging space with very large TV. Kettle, tea, milk and coffee. Lovely welcoming lady at breakfast and a good choice of hot/cold food and coffee/teas. 3 hour window, so not crowded. I thought my TV didn't work but when I went to reception a young lady came immediately to my room with me and made it work straight away. The hotel feels warm and welcoming and not clinical like some others.
I had stayed here quite a while ago and then they closed for refurbishment. Then there was Covid, so now they have re-opened without refurbishment. So yes, the carpets are a little ill-fitting and parts look worn but the staff more than make up for that. They are going to go ahead with refurbishment soon.

Ease of access to the local amenities and good quality on the food. I liked the room design and bathroom. Check in and check out was easy and efficient.
The shower was too hot on the scale it showed. The scale had to be on the blue for a reasonable temperature. The walls were quite thin. The TV lacked any real watching options, such as Netflix or phone screening. The windows were difficult to open.

The hotel is well located in the centre of Swansea close to both the bus and train stations. It is an older hotel whose best days are probably behind it - but the slightly faded glory is still generally in good condition and very servicable. My room was very comfortable with everything I needed - clean, comfortable bed, plenty of hot water, good TV and Internet. Breakfast in the Piano Bar looking out over the city centre was also fine - not spectacular but a good basic cooked breakfast plus cereal, yogurt and fruit. All staff were also very pleasant and friendly. I was very satisfied with my stay here. It was excellent value and so much nicer than the chain hotels now proliferating on the Swansea waterfront.
