Lovely bed and setting but the place needs repairs and dusting.. Huge bathroom. Staff were lovely and attentive but breakfast food once it arrive was good but was run by teenagers so no idea that was needed, constantly needed to ask for tea, juices, glasses, cereals.milk, butters.
Cobwebs everywhere, main walkways need dusting, picture frames on stairs, woodwork throughout, heating was erratic, room walls have marks, lovely antique furniture has chips and very old fashioned 80's bathroom fittings. Breakfast food was good but clearing tables and refilling items didn't happen. Lots of staff walking about but not achieving anything. Queues to be seated and randomly allocated. Grounds and gardens could be beautiful but need gardeners.

Myself and my husband enjoyed the leisure facilities. The food was also amazing. Our room was warm and cosy the bed was so comfortable. The shower was lovely and hot and poweful. The tv was nice a big and plenty of channels to watch. All in all value for money. Myself and my husband just wanted somewhere where we could relax, go for a swim, have a steam room, and generally to peace, which we both did get.
The bathroom needed a bit more of a clean. It did get very hot in the room, but once I turned the heating down, it cooled down and was very comfortable. The staff were very good couldn't fault them although they seemed to be running from place to place. At times, it seemed understaffed. The bar area seemed a bit dull. it needs to be more inviting. We thought we heard someone arguing under our window when, in fact, it was a lady having a go at staff who was taking some table and chairs inside that looked like they had been delivered. The way the lady spoke wasn't very nice, and in my opinion, no one should be spoken to in that tone.

The pool was nice...the hotel is old but quirky, lots of corridors, can easily get lost lol but does have alot of old world charm and character..lovely wooden sweeping staircase in main hall..the staff are very nice and friendly..especially Tom the Barman..who made our 1st day and night there special..Janet and reception very nice too..peaceful hotel too...can hear nature waking up in the morning, the breakfasts and evening meal were superb..Great food , nice chef..
The shower cldve been bit faster and bit warmer , heating on as was bit chilly..but it is an old house ,get rid of cobwebs in the windows

We loved the fact that this place is being cared for you can see the differences as you walk through the hotel. Some of the bad reviews are not entirely justified any more the carpets have been replaced and in our opinion keeping the place a kinda dignified renovation without going ultra modern the hotel has some beautiful rooms and although dated decor it somehow reflects the building itself. the pool area is a lot better than.on any of the pictures we saw before going ourselves however the new pale tiles do reflect the cleanliness of the place on a whole. yes the changing rooms are very dated with no private changing rooms however the showers are larg enough to get changed afterwards.

The 4 Poster bedroom suete was amazing. The bath which was large enough 2 people comfortablely and more like a hot tub. The view of the countryside was amazing. The cost of this suete which included breakfast was about £90 so amazing value. It even had access to leisure facilities including a 15m pool. I was there on business sadly but I'm definitely returning for leisure with my partner.
It took me ages to find the main bedroom light switch in the dark which ended up being at the opposite corner of the room to the entrance door oddly. But that's a small inconvenience otherwise there wasn't a lot I didn't like.

Spa facilities are lovely, we really enjoyed the sauna and swimming pool. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds for a really good night's sleep. Very quiet location and beautiful grounds. The staff were friendly professional and made us feel welcome, breakfast was great for the price, and cooked to our liking. Nice selection of cereals and toast on offer, along with yoghurt and fruit, and fruit juices to choose from. Tea and coffee provided. Ideal base for exploring the local area's attractions. Great value stay.

Myself and my daughter stayed for the night he as we came to the area for a shopping weekend for my daughters birthday it was such a Lovely relaxed feel, facilities are brilliant no allocated swim slots which means you can attend at your own leisure which makes life so much easier, shame we only had notification a day or so before to prebook evening our meal after booking the hotel some time in advance as it meant we had to go out and find somewhere but in the evening without knowing the area but i understand as it was due to staffing, definitely will be coming to stay again the receptionist on arrival was so lovely and welcoming and made myself and my daughter feel welcome form the outset.
I can’t say this is an issue with the property and can only raise it as a positive for the staff who deserve to be praised for this as There was an issue with the person who was staying next door being extremely loud, shouting down the phone and just not respecting neighbours throughout the entire afternoon and late evening, staff where alerted and sorted it straight away can’t thank them enough and saved me having a grumpy child this morning as she was then able to get a really comfy quiet night sleep

If you like a full English breakfast, then it's great. It was a hearty breakfast that kept me going all day! However, there's not a lot of 'continental' choice - only cereals, toast and fruit and yogurt, plus juices. Tea & coffee obviously. I did have an evening meal on the Sunday night which was also great. My room was such a good size, and the swimming pool and steam room was a nice added bonus. All the staff were friendly and helpful. I was attending an event in Telford, and it was only a 10 minute drive away, so a great location, a little out of the city. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Haughton Hall Hotel.
My only very small complaint would be the hairdryer in the room. It was tiny, and for someone with long hair, I was worried I was going to burn it out. My travel hairdryer is bigger and I wish I'd brought it along.

Great for a night away celebrating birthday. Was in the 4 post bedroom. Sky TV available if you have a PIN number for your account. Nice big television. Huge bathroom with shower in the bath. Great nights sleep. Used leisure facilities on day of arrival and checkout. Complimentary towels. Nice leisure complex not too busy when we used it. Had dinner at the restaurant not too expensive. Breakfast was included and was acceptable. Overall worth the price we paid. Nice grounds to walk around.
The whole place is a bit dated and tired but at the price offers so much. It's not 5 star yet. Renovations appear to be underway so presumably the prices will go up. Get in now.
