The Old Orleton Inn offers a refreshingly authentic and charming alternative to the typical franchise hotels where you often feel like you've "seen one, seen them all." From the moment you step in, the attention to detail from the staff is evident. They're welcoming, attentive, and genuinely care about making your stay special, which sets this inn apart from the more impersonal service found in chain hotels. The interior is wonderfully cozy, with a blend of traditional charm and modern comforts that make you feel right at home. Every corner seems thoughtfully designed, creating an inviting atmosphere perfect for relaxation. One of the highlights of my stay was the fantastic complimentary breakfast basket. It's a delightful touch, filled with fresh muffins, porridge, apples, yogurt, milk, and orange juice. It’s the perfect start to your day, offering both convenience and a taste of quality. An unexpected but very pleasant surprise was the restaurant located on the ground floor. The food is exceptional, far surpassing typical hotel dining options, making it a destination in itself. Whether you're staying the night or just popping in for a meal, this restaurant is worth a visit.

One small area for improvement would be the addition of blackout curtains in the rooms. While the rooms are comfortable and cozy, the current curtains allow some light in, which may be a slight issue for light-sensitive sleepers.

Lovely old property very well modernised and the interior was beautifully finished off . Gardens were lovely and staff very welcoming. As there are no kitchens at present the idea of a breakfast basket was perfect. The manager was very good it was interesting hearing his plans as only just refurbished and reopened recently.

No fixed shower. Also no hairdryer so if we had used shower as a hand shower we had no way of drying our hair. So used to finding a hairdryer in hotel didn't think to ask and bring our own! It will.be so much better when restaurant reopens which we understand will be very soon.

Great location for our travels, Friendly welcome on arrival Breakfast hamper was very nice, enabled breakfast in bed lol, nice little selection of porridge, muesli, muffins, honey and apples. Fresh milk, yoghurts, water and orange juice provided Good drink options. Room was fine, clean and enough space Parking good

Bed was too soft, but personal preference With windows open room suffered from traffic noise on and off throughout the night. First floor corner room (2) right on the junction. When the window blinds were up we felt a little exposed to the outside world The bottles of “push top” shower shampoo and conditioner, only because the shelf in the shower didn’t feel strong enough to push down on, but small detail. Just didn’t want to break the shelf.

Absolutely could not fault our stay at the Old Orleton Inn, and we've already recommended it to family and friends. We stayed as a last minute booking when visiting family in the area. The room was spacious and very comfortable; my husband and I both slept incredibly well. We had a drink on arrival in the bar; the staff were super helpful with recommendations when I wanted a local gin for my G&T. Due to the kitchen refurbishment, breakfast was a lovely hamper, which suited us perfectly. When we had breakfast a little later than anticipated (after our room was refreshed), the staff went out of their way to restock the hamper for the next day.

We look forward to staying when the kitchen is up and running.

A beautiful building with excellent facilities. Break fast is presented in a wicker basket to be eaten upstairs. A nice variety of food , instant porridge, fruit , muffins, dried fruit and cereal, along with yoghurt ,fresh juice and milk which is in a fridge in the room. The furniture and beds are all of a high standard. Shower / bathroom is good. There is a bar downstairs and a choice of rooms to relax with a drink. Also a lovely garden. Unfortunately the kitchen is currently not in use. However there is a nice pub 10 minutes walk away which has a great menu

The staff were lovely. When we messaged, just the day before, to ask for vegan and veggie options for breakfast they were really accommodating. Wasn't too much trouble at all. Breakfast hamper in the room was great. A bulb went in the room when we were there and tripped out a fuse putting another out, we were just heading out and it was sorted by the time we got back. Really friendly and welcoming and the room was lovely, highly recommend

Building looked a bit tired from the outside but was lovely inside. It's on a main road but wasn't noisy in the room.

Lovely room, and despite facing the corner of 2 busy roads, the double glazing worked brilliantly. Very comfy bed with quality linen. Breakfast hamper included, but we didn't make use of it - nice touch as they're not doing breakfast at the moment. The new owner has recently reopened the Inn and explained that he is currently recruiting a chef.

Lighting over dressing table needs to be improved, so you can see to put on make-up if bathroom occupied if going as a couple. Perhaps add a long mirror. Have a choice of pillows.

We arrived late in the evening as we booked a room in this listed building to break up our journey, travelling up from London on a Friday evening. The room was lovely, the staff were very helpful, and the complimentary continental breakfast was lovely. The room even had it's own fridge with fresh milk, orange juice and yogurt. Next time we plan to arrive earlier so we can have some food and a drink...and my partner can make use of the jacuzzi bath!

Characterful room, lovely complementary breakfast hamper, comfy bead, mini fridge and even hair dryer and shampoo provided.

There was no shower curtain and no overhead shower holder in our bathroom - this made washing hair a bit difficult.

Everyone very friendly and helpful. Excellent service and food in restaurant despite it only opening a few days previously. Complimentary breakfast hamper in bedroom was ideal for our story as we had to leave early morning, Will definitely stay again when in area.

No hot water for a shower in the morning, but it was very early
