The location where the hotel was brilliant bus stops nearby. The hotel itself was amazing cleanliness was 100% spotless. The breakfast, well, they were excellent got a choice, and cooked perfect. The hosts Jobathon and Sade were brilliant if you were struggling where to visit just ask and they would give all the information. I couldn't fault this hotel at all.. definitely be back. Well stocked fridge in room. Lovely shampoo condiotoner body wash in shower no need to take your own.

We had a really lovely stay and would definitely return without looking for anywhere else in Torquay. Our particular bathroom was really nice but a little bit small for people with mobility issues. Other bathrooms may be different and the lovely, high quality free toiletries were really appreciated. We have bad backs so unfortunately we didn't find the beds that comfortable but don't let that put you of because we don't find any beds comfortable and everyone else has given the beds a great review! Particular highlights were the mini-fridge packed with a great range of higher quality products than I've experienced before and they do not over charge. They put in a lot of thought and care to make sure their guests are provided for. It was great that extra tea, coffee, bin bags, toilet roll etc were left in the hallway so if you run out and the hosts aren't there you can grab them yourself and not have to wait. The location is great - a short walk to the seafront and town but also the bus stop is right outside for anyone with mobility trouble. I'm vegetarian and the breakfast was really good. Whole place is spotlessly clean and really nicely decorated.

Location was a nice easy walk from the train station (15mins) and 10mins walk straight to the beach! Sade and Jonathan were very welcoming and all smiles which really gave the day a good start every morning, plus a full happy tummy! Bus stop was around the corner which allowed us to travel further. Clean bedroom, everything you needed from a comfy bed, strong shower and if you need a few spare bits like loo roll or different teas, fully equipped downstairs! Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back to visit

Nothing bad to say

Kethla House was beautifully decorated and well situated. The hosts were friendly and welcoming and the breakfasts were delicious. We stayed in the small double room and whilst it was small as others have noted, it was well thought out and the size is reflected in the price which made it great as a holiday base to explore from. Our friends stayed in the family room which had a full size single bed in addition to their bed which was ideal for their son.

The parking bays were very tight in size and to get out of - we found it was easier to reverse in. There is lots of free parking in nearby streets however.

The outside looked modern and inviting, the inside was clean and bright. We had the last room available which was small but perfectly formed and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The owners were friendly and helpful, advising us of places to go and things to do. The choice of breakfasts was excellent and they were some of the best I’ve had in a b&b, making our room amazing value. There was also a fab choice of drinks and snacks in the room which were much more reasonably priced than any I’ve had in a hotel. They provided good quality shampoo, conditioner, hand soap and moisturiser in the bathroom which was spotless. The weather was lovely when we stayed and they even provided a fan.

Nothing, we really enjoyed our stay.

The choice of breakfast available was brilliant with cereal and juices to start. The staggering of the times for breakfast was ideal as we were not in a rush to eat.

Parking is tight with 3 spaces but we got a space even when we left for a dinner booking and returned. We were in room 7 which was 1 floor up if we had to pick up on a negative it was the people in the next room we could hear their conversation, we appreciate that is is an old building and the room was probably 1 large one and has been divided into 2 with possibly not enough insulation between.

The owners Jonathan and Sade were really friendly, very approachable and couldn't do enough for us. The cleanliness was absolutely outstanding, I tried to find faults and I couldn't find anything wrong or 1 speck of dyst anywhere. And the cooked breakfast every morning was delicious and freshly cooked to order. The location was ideal, just a short walk to the seafront. We've already booked again with them for next year! Most definitely a 10 out 10 if not more!!

There wasn't anything we didn't like about Kethla House.

The choice and quality of the breakfast was fantastic. Everything was cooked fresh and to order. All cooked food always came out nice and hot. Jonathan and Sade were excellent hosts, very warm & welcoming. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. They were stocked with everything you would need.

There was nothing they could of done better.. we did have a front bedroom & we were woken up at 6am on 1 of the days by the binmen clattering glass bottles but that is something beyond anyone's control.

Fancy, clean in a great location. Friendly owners and excellent breakfast. Do not know what else I would want from B&B. I will be happy to stay there again on my next trip to Devon. Thank you so much for hosting us these weekends.

There is nothing to write here or complain about. Advice for future travelers by car, as noted, there is limited car parking space on site but if you park on an adjacent street it is free to stay there overnight, until 9am. And, there always are streets with free parking spaces 5 minutes walk away.

breakfast was excellent, so much choice to go for, the smoked kippers were exceptional with the spinach & fried tomato, the mini bar in the room was a surprise with beer,wine rum gin spirits & tonic , coca-cola, sweets chocolate pringle pots all to choose from at a very resonable price so the off licence shop wasn't needed jonathan & sade so welcoming , nothing was too much trouble , jonathan had a great knowledge of the local area
