We had a really lovely stay and would definitely return without looking for anywhere else in Torquay. Our particular bathroom was really nice but a little bit small for people with mobility issues. Other bathrooms may be different and the lovely, high quality free toiletries were really appreciated. We have bad backs so unfortunately we didn't find the beds that comfortable but don't let that put you of because we don't find any beds comfortable and everyone else has given the beds a great review! Particular highlights were the mini-fridge packed with a great range of higher quality products than I've experienced before and they do not over charge. They put in a lot of thought and care to make sure their guests are provided for. It was great that extra tea, coffee, bin bags, toilet roll etc were left in the hallway so if you run out and the hosts aren't there you can grab them yourself and not have to wait. The location is great - a short walk to the seafront and town but also the bus stop is right outside for anyone with mobility trouble. I'm vegetarian and the breakfast was really good. Whole place is spotlessly clean and really nicely decorated.

Location was a nice easy walk from the train station (15mins) and 10mins walk straight to the beach! Sade and Jonathan were very welcoming and all smiles which really gave the day a good start every morning, plus a full happy tummy! Bus stop was around the corner which allowed us to travel further. Clean bedroom, everything you needed from a comfy bed, strong shower and if you need a few spare bits like loo roll or different teas, fully equipped downstairs! Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back to visit

Me and the hubby started our journey to kethla house early to avoid traffic.. So we arrived way b4 checking in time. Nothing was a problem for Jonathan and sade who checked us in early for which we were so grateful... We had the superior double room on the top floor .. the room itself is very spacious... spotless...and smelled fresh... The bed was so comfortable had the best sleep.... The breakfast was a choice of different menu .. continental/full english/vegetarian/cereals... Me and the hubby chose the full English it was delicious hot and lovely runny eggs... We would definitely recommend kethla b&b it's a 10/10 ... Jonathan and sade are a friendly couple with a welcoming smile .. hosting is spot on .. All round we will definitely be back ....

We recently returned from a weeks stay in Kethla house and it was brilliant. The rooms are beautiful, the beds are extremely comfy and the breakfast is available in abundance, there is so much choice and food and we never left the breakfast table feeling unsatisfied. The location is perfect for visiting the beach and all the local resturants ect with only a 10ish minute walk. I will say the part that makes Kethla house so amazing is the owners, they are so welcoming and friendly and warm and honestly cannot do enough, especially Sade! She was so very sweet and kind and loving towards my little boy I almost felt like she was part of the family with the way she was with him! She was the perfect host and went above and beyond to help myself, partner and son when we had trouble with transport! I don't think I would stay anywhere else now after being treated so kindly at Kethla house and we have already discussed coming back for a holiday next year!!

There was nothing not to like. Cleanliness was top notch, room was more than comfortable. Even had a mini fridge filled with a huge choice of drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic along with a choice of snacks, which you paid for on leaving which we thought was an awesome touch. Everything is within walking distance, there are a number of pubs on your doorstep plus the harbour/marina is a 15 minute walk where you're spoilt for choice on eateries and cafes etc. Jonathan and Sade are wonderful hosts, their breakfast is second to none and the choices are very welcoming. The house itself is decorated to a very high standard and you will be very well looked after. We have stayed in many bed and breakfasts over the years and can honestly say this was the best and we will definitely be back. You will not be disappointed, enjoy ☺️

Breakfasts were amazing very hearty, tailored to suit and a very good choice, cooked breakfast, continental, smoked salmon with scrambled eggs all but a few selections beautifully cooked. Coffee, tea, juices. Sade is lovely, friendly and obliging providing me with brown sugar for coffee. Fridge full of charged refreshments if required. The location is ideal 15-20 minutes walk to the harbour, bus service runs from Belgrave Road to Paignton approx 10 mins away by bus, a local road train also picks up further down the road to take you all around hop on /off. 15 minutes walk to the old town.

Everything of the accommodation was lovely even room service if required. There's little car parking space, that being three spaces first come first served basis available at the rear. Torquay is quite steep up hill, 7 hills, bear this in mind if on foot or difficulty in walking.

EVERYTHING ! Fabulous place, location was perfect for us and we were able to park at the property. Host welcomed us and took the time to explain everything we needed to know about the property and the area. Room had everything we needed and more. We loved the extra details in the room like the fridge with fresh milk to go with our morning tea/coffee and the “mini bar/snacks” with a price list that was very reasonably priced. Breakfast was pre-ordered meaning it was cooked perfectly and without delay. Would definitely recommend this place and would be our first choice when we next return to Torquay.

Breakfast was lovely, a great selection to choose from. We had one of the family rooms which was very spacious for the three of us. A very warm welcome from the hosts, Sade and Jonathan were great with our little one - who happens to be a major dinosaur fan they were both quick to let us know about the little dinosaur shop near the quay - we visited and it was a hit so thank you for the suggestion!

We were very happy with the accommodation, there is parking on site but it is not ample. but we never struggled finding somewhere close by to park - we parked one street over one night and another night we parked a little up from the shops on the main road where the hotel is situated.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Kethla House, and it was a truly delightful experience. The house itself is beautifully decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Jonathan and his wife Sade are exceptional hosts, and their welcoming hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable. The rooms were spotless, and the thoughtful inclusion of a fan was a welcome touch, especially during the summer. One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast. It was not only delicious but also served with care and attention to detail. Overall, we highly recommend Kethla House as a fantastic and charming place to stay in Torquay.

Everything was great!

The property is lovely and the owners are very friendly. They made us feel very welcome and took the time to speak to my children to make them feel at home. When we went to the beach the lady gave my children and bucket and spade as well as a bottle of water and cookies to take with them. They were over the moon. Breakfast was lovely and great choice, very clean and not greasy at all. The rooms are great, very clean and everything you need is included. Location is good, not too far away from the beach and town centre, it is located on a hill and could be a problem for some but was fine for us.

Everything was great for us
