I liked everything lovely welcome when we arrived, we had the family room very spacious with a big bathroom with a bath, plenty of hot water, there was kettle, tea, coffee biscuits in the room, we were going out for the evening so we didn't eat there, we decided to stay another night, but the family room was booked so we moved to a double room which was done very quickly within half hour, another great room, also had a bath, yes i like my baths, & this one had a beautiful view of the gardens, plenty of parking space, nice helpful staff, comfortable beds, wonderful stay.

Staff were very helpful and pleasant even though they were very busy getting ready for a wedding on the saturday. Cooked Breakfast was really nice, plenty of choice to choose from. Views were stunning, we were. Moved after the 1st night as our mattress was not very comfortable and the room was very small hovever the 2nd nights stay was exceptional, the room was stunning and we both had a very good nights sleep.

The 1st night in the small room and not much sleep due to the mattress but this was rectified the next morning.

Breakfast was excellent value, very large welsh breakfast portion, 2 sausages, 2 rashers of good bacon black pudding and hash browns, poached egg on request. Dinner was lovely, I had a home made pie. Both of us had home made soup (butternut squash) and roll. Bar staff very friendly and attentive, very well mannered.

No problems really, much nicer than a chain, lovely building. Some information in the room, menus meal times etc. would be nice.

Large and spacious room, fantastic view, huge bath and drop of the pin quiet.

Please buy some new type LED light bulbs with a decent lumens, some extra lamps and make your rooms dazzle. Maybe an espresso machine and a decent tea caddy would make it look less cheap B&B. Small things make a big difference. Bathroom needed a proper remodel, especially the WC which could not flush properly.

Beautiful hotel and location. Obviously used for weddings, sue to its opulence, the exterior is grand and the interior original and historic. The restaurant dinner was delicious, and the breakfast (optional) was plentiful!

what an amazing hotel, it’s quirky and has such a homely feel. the executive room was amazing and had wonderful features.

There was a few cobwebs here and there and the bath water ran a funny colour but other that that it is an amazing place

tired decor desperate need of updating which is sad because the house is fabulous. No bar in the evening or room service for drinks…no one on reception at 10pm when we came in and the staff they have do their very best

Breakfast was luke warm, even though the display and layout clean and looked appealing, it just was not hot, beans, eggs, bacon etc, hardly warm....

The man on reception was great and super friendly There is also a small bar to go for drinks in the evening if you weren't eating. The room was a good size Views from the hotel are great and it's close to a small town

The bed was slightly uncomfortable, bit to hard for me and my bad back The shower preessure was very poor, my partner has thick long hair and didn't even attempt to wash it

Nice spacious room. Beautiful building. Excellent housekeeping staff.

Cold rooms. No lift. No one to help carry the bags upstairs.
