The location and facilities are fantastic. It is set upon such pretty grounds, the lovely lady at reception was so lovely and welcoming, she explained everything about the property (where to find things, how to get in, how to contact them etc). We unfortunately weren't able to use the spa as it was fully booked everytime we tried to book. The restaurant and bar, is good and very reasonably priced - meant we didn't have to leave the property.

The lodge we stayed in, I have to say wasn't that clean, there was a lot of dust around the whole property and the floors didn't feel that clean. It didn't impact our stay but that is perhaps something to note for the cleaning services. Having more spa availability

Location in Thames Valley is excellent. Ambiance of the Springs Resort is great: grounds, layout, clubhouse, staff, food - all perfect!

Car park barrier to chalets did not always work! Refreshments in chalet (milk, tea, biscuits, etc.) were not always "topped up"! Beds in chalet were on castors resulting in beds moving; castor "cups" seemed to be present but these were damaged/flattened and were ineffective. In the hot weather, a fan in each chalet would have been beneficial. A telephone message was received from Springs reception requesting us to vacate our chalet when we still had a further 24 hours of our booking left!

Location was lovely. We stayed in a lodge for 2 which was very clean and had everything we needed aside from a mini fridge. We paid for breakfast which was nicely cooked. Service was tricky as I think that golfers seemed to take priority over staying guests.

Blinds or net curtains in the lodges would be great as there was no privacy. A more expanded dinner menu which catered for vegetarians would be helpful. A vegan burger 🍔 or tagine is not much of a choice 🤔. Luckily Wallingford isn't too far to drive. Didn't use the gym or spa but these are nice additions especially for golf widows!

Breakfast was included in the price with accommodation. Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of cooked and uncooked food. [The coffee served at the buffet table was, alas, a little disappointing.] [On arrival, assistance with a broken door lock to the chalet was quickly and efficiently corrected. Thank you!]

The cleaning/house-keeping of the chalet could have been to a slightly higher standard. [Coffee mug had residue at the bottom; hair in wash hand basin, shortage of "consumables" for coffee/tea.] [Beds on casters (and/or furniture cups) are forever moving!]

The resort and facilities were excellent. The staff in restaurant and club house were first class.

The lodge we stayed in was perfect apart from one thing, the bed moved every time you sat down on it due to the wheels not having a locking feature. Reception were not up to date with closing hours as we called to ask in the Sunday what time the clubhouse bar closed, told 8pm last orders. When we returned from a restaurant/bar at 9.50pm it was still very much open, costing us extra money on taxis to head out for a drink when we could have had drinks on resort.

Location was amazing and grounds beautiful. Alden lodge was comfortable and looked lovely, good concept. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Golf was great.

Attention to detail seemed to be missing a little when it came to cleanliness, there was dirt around the shower and walls were dusty. Not very nice to have a full ash tray on the balcony either. Included breakfast was limited, didn’t like having to pay extra for hot food as only toast and granola was included - not even a pastry! Rooms should come with an electric fan as standard as they get very warm, however the Receptionist was happy to bring us one. A fridge and bottled water would have been a nice touch.

From start to finish the stay at The Springs was simply bliss. I had booked the hotel for my partners birthday & she was just as pleased as me. The staff were attentive & very helpful answering all my questions and offering suggestions over the phone before the visit. I had arranged a balloon delivery which was delivered a day early but the hotel had them stored and then placed into our room making it feel that extra bit special. The hotel itself has been decorated beautifully & to a high standard of finish which is in keeping with the buildings exterior. The grounds in which the hotel is set in were well tendered and car parking facilities were all very well layed out. The person who booked us in was very professional and rushed to put the presents in the room before my partner arrived & again made sure we was happy with everything before & once we was into our room. I went for a suite which was again beautifully decorated & kept extremely clean. The bath was to die for 😍 We had a slot booked for the spa which was simply gorgeous added to the fact we were the only ones in there at the time (they only allow a maximum of 6 people each session at anytime) but this coupled with the spa teams attentiveness made it feel all that extra special. We will no doubt be staying again & would personally like to thank the team for everything they did, ensuring my partner had the best possible stay for her special day.

Just returned home from The Springs and had to convey just how good it was. Met by Faye at the reception and what a lovely, happy and welcoming Lady. We were shown to out amazing deluxe suite, great quality bedroom and an even better bathroom. Massive freestanding Victorian bath and a massive walk in tropical shower with superb towels, bathrobes, slippers and toiletries. Loads of hangers, for once and a safe, free for use, yes no additional cost. Faye was so informative and advised of surrounding places and restaurants to visit. The 1st evening decided to eat out at the Shellfish Cow, seafood and steaks only a short drive away or a £10 taxi. The food was fantastic albeit I the restaurant looks nothing from the outside, but wait until you’re seated upstairs, you will not be disappointed. 2nd day breakfast was delicious with lots of choice and you can go off piste and mix it up and choose what you want. Eat inside or out as there are ample heaters if it’s a bit chilly. There was only one issue with our stay and that was the slow service with food and drinks, but apart from that the food was freshly prepared and was always hot. This hotel is a hidden gem and Faye deserves a very special mention as she was and is fantastic and the best front of house person we have met, well done Faye you’re a great asset to The Springs and from beginning to end we appreciated you. We will definitely be returning as a couple and as a group as the golf course is apparently very good. Top marks from two regular hotel travellers

The whole stay was faultless! The hotel, rooms, restaurant and spa were immaculate. The staff were polite, attentive and friendly. The restaurant offered affordable food, simple but delicious and fresh. The spa and leisure facilities were beautiful, modern, clean with robes and slippers provided. One of the best massages I’ve had. The grounds of the hotel were stunning, well looked after and just gave the whole place a wonderful feel. The rooms were modern, with stylish decor, crisp sheets, soft towels and everything you need. I would be more than happy to return and will highly recommend to others.

We stayed in a lodge and it was excellent. Clean, comfortable bed, lovely shower, quiet location, free parking. Everything we needed for a short stay. The vegetarian breakfast was very good and served in the restaurant area overlooking the golf course. I used the spa facilities and had a back massage. Lovely clean spa and the facilities looked very new. I really enjoyed my back massage with Sophie. My husband did a round of golf and he said it was well maintained.

Breakfast didn't start until 8am due to staff shortage.
