Didn’t feel terribly confident about staying here, having read other reviews and following a less than helpful phone conversation with a member of staff the night before. However, we were welcomed warmly and shown to our room, which was clean, cosy and comfortable. Very pleasantly surprised - not the unfriendly scuzz-fest we were expecting!

Nothing much, really. Room very warm - above the kitchen, perhaps? - but perfectly possible to open the windows. A fair bit of noise from various fans and ventilators around the place, but at least it means it’s well-aired.

The location was fabulous Staff polite, parking.. Breakfast was huge and beautiful.. Nice little pub

Cleanliness of the room could of been better. My socks were full of someone else's hair off the carpet, bathroom needed a better clean, tiles were splashed with toothpaste and also the glass for toothpaste hadn't been replaced.. Floor was dusty due to not being swept properly.. Surfaces in the bedroom were a bit dusty and the tea and coffee tray had crumbs from previous quests.. We only stayed one night and wasn't going to make it an issue... Got my baby wipes and wiped over.. Ladies toilets could also do with a good deep clean.. Otherwise great pub and fab location

The bedroom was lovely and very warm, the bed and pillows were very comfortable, plenty of tea, coffee and milk in the room. Towels and hairdryer provided. Car park at the back of the building.

At breakfast you had to ask for tea and coffee I would have felt more comfortable if I could have helped myself, or tea and coffee pots were put on the table. It was a shame that the pub part was closed when we visited so we had to go out, I do appreciate that people need a rest but we had booked there so we could get to our room and just go downstairs to the pub.

It was a very pleasant stay, we would book in there again if we visit Wetherby in future.

I was looking forward to having something to eat after a drink in the bar before getting dressed for an evening wedding do, but there was no chef so there was no food to be had. Secondly, our room was noisy from something outside - either an air conditioning unit, or something similar to refrigeration - it was continuously on and off throughout the morning hours, our sleep was disturbed. If we do book in there again we would make sure there would be food available, and a different room away from the noise.

Great location in the centre of Wetherby with the added bonus of ample free parking on site. This is a small 17th century pub with loads of character and interest . The room was a little quirky which goes with the historic nature of the property with a super comfy bed and excellent hot shower in the en suite facility. The pub had live music playing downstairs as it was a Saturday night probably to be expected which was respectfully finished at 11.00pm thankfully ! The full English breakfast was excellent the following morning and served with a happy smile by the staff. Happy customers !!

The evening meal and breakfast were good, the bed was comfy and the bed linen and towels were good quality. A nice selection of shower cream etc in the bathroom, tea, coffee and biscuits in the room. No problem with parking round the back. The room was warm when we arrived which was good. We had a problem locking the bedroom door but that was sorted in a matter of minutes.

The carpet in the room needed a clean and the silicone round the shower needed replacing as it had mould in the corners. The push plates and handles on doors just needed a clean. These things can easily be sorted.

This is a pub with rooms but don't let that put you off staying there. The landlord is very chatty and welcoming and the rooms clean and comfortable if not massive. It was ideally located for a night out around the town during a business trip. Good size free car park and good range of beers. We didn't eat in the pub on the evening but did have breakfast.

Breakfast while tasty and edible was a bit basic and slightly overcooked. Rooms are not large, it is an old pub after all, so a family with baby/travel cot may struggle.

Friendly staff and lovely food. Very comfortable bed .Tea/coffee/sugar/milk etc provided. Good shower and lovely towels. Handy place to stay for the Antique Fair at the racecourse. Free car park with plenty of spaces. Close to shops.

Disappointed that they no longer do breakfast. The bathroom door wouldn’t close. The music downstairs on the Saturday evening was extremely loud.

Lovely pub and great atmosphere. Close to the nearby wedding location we were using. Breakfast was lovely too.

Lady behind the bar when we arrived didn't want to deal with us. Said she wasn't there to help us, was just helping out behind the bar... Then went on to chunter about being left alone behind the bar. Put a downer on the experience tbh. The staff at check out were great though. Much more like it. Perhaps we visited on a bad night.

Central location - only a couple of minutes walk to shops. The room was a good size and very comfortable. Despite being above the pub the room was quiet and we had a good nights sleep. The breakfast was great and the staff member who served us, despite being let down by a colleague who didn’t turn up to work, worked her socks off to make sure we had everything we needed.

Toilet cistern made a loud noise if flushed again before fully refilling.
