We were at a perfect location and had everything we needed and more. Lovely walks nearby for the dog and loads to do for the children. Kids loved the outside play area right next to the caravan but we had a private yard where they also could play securely. Breakfast was plenty and delicious. Staff and host are very friendly and attentive. We couldn’t have asked for anything more.

I was okay but hubby ( being a little prince ) found the bed a tad bit uncomfortable. It was sloping a little so your legs were higher than your head… apparently… I had a good night sleep every night so did the children.

The caravan was spacious, clean and comfortable, and the location ideal for my visit. The fridge was well-stocked with a good selection of food for breakfast - and a little more. The owners were very pleasant, welcoming and accommodating.

Although the caravan was basically clean, a little more attention to detail would have been good (eg mould in corners of shower, dust etc. in crevices of rooms). Mobile signal was a little erratic (o2) and free wifi was advertised, but I was unable to locate this and there was no information in the van - however, I did not follow this up with the owners as it really didn't pose a problem to me for the little I needed it.

Convenient for central Tadcaster amenities just walking, and close to York and Leeds using car. Spacious accommodation for myself and my daughter visiting for a family party in the town centre. Comfortable lounge furniture and beds (1 double and 2 single) with large TV. Good heating. Full breakfast and fresh bread/butter/cereals/milk in fridge plus all pans needed for self service breakie. Did NOT use the Jackdaw pub facilities on this trip but have used it plenty of times before and its a very good friendly local style venue. Staff team very pleasant and helpfull. Superb fish & chip shop immediately outside - can't beat F & C cooked Yorkshire style. Car parking ample - we only used 1 car for the trip but had asked for 2 spaces as we thought we might need 2 and they were totally fine with that.

The accommodation area was totally clean and fresh but would benefit from a small dose of TLC - this is NOT a complaint and we were very happy AS IS - just feel a small investment would take the rating to EXCELLENT.

Music from juke box was good. The large amount of food for us in the caravan was excellent. Netflix on caravan TV is a good idea. Staff, owners and customers were friendly. Is in a nice quiet location. Bus stops and shops very close. All in all it was a nice break away, but with a few little tweaks and attention to detail the accommodation would score excellent.

Bus fares from location were expensive. The price of the bingo in the venue was a bit steep. Caravan could have been a bit cleaner, blinds in the toilet in the bedroom had black mould. Kitchen felt greasy and bits of food were in the sink on arrival.

it was very secluded and tucked in the corner of the car park with its own private entrance so I could come and go as I pleased. The bus stop was right outside the pub so I didn’t need to drive into York centre. Lil was a lovely host and nothing was too much, she had a lovely personality and was very reassuring that I was quite safe been a lady on my own. The chicken coop was great to wake up to, loved seeing the hens pecking around in the mornings.

The caravan was a good size, well kept and very clean and the owner was very friendly and helpful. There was everything we needed including towels etc There was a stocked fridge to make own breakfast which we liked as we could use the food as we saw best The town is very quiet but a good base to get to York and surrounding areas. The pub was nice and would be good for young children

Birds on the roof were very noisy in the early morning. The pub (and seemingly the rest of the town) do not do food on Mondays and Tuesdays which is a shame. The TV does have Netflix but there is no usable Internet service in the caravan

We love the Jackdaw caravan because its ideal for 9, 11 & 14 year old children with the onsite playground & inflatables. The caravan gives us the space we need to spend as a family. The location is great in respect of a base to go into York, Harrogate, Wetherby, Leeds, Scarborough. The welcome food Lilly provides is great because you can literally just arrive and have a brew and a cake or sandwich. Towels provided, bedding provided, hand-wash, washing up liquid, tea towels etc. This is our second time visit to the Jackdaw caravan and you get good value for money for a family of 5.

Everything!! It’s a gem of a place to stay with the family as the kids have the secure play area and the grownups have the pub for refreshments!! Lillian is an amazing host and is so generous by leaving lots of breakfast and general food items for her guests! We only wish we could have stayed another night but there is always next time!! Thanks again Lillian!!

It was within walking distance to a family event we were organising! And enough space for 4 adults to stay for 2 nights The Landlady 'Lil' was great, she provided us with eggs from her chickens, sausages, bacon and tea, coffee etc. The pub is good and serves good food. There is a great childrens area for families.

Mobile homes are always a bit tight for tall, broad adults, there were a couple of our group who struggled with the narrow doorways!!

The Jackdaw owners are amazingly friendly and helpful. There were ample food supplies left ready for us which was an unexpected bonus. Great place to go if you have small kids. Tadcaster is closed on a Monday and most of Tuesday as well so expect to have to travel out of town if dinning out.

The bathroom facilities are a little cramped so wouldnt suit a larger person...
