Staff friendly and approachable. Breakfast tasty, brilliant service and comfortable seating arrangement. Great attention to detail. Helpful with late checkout and leaving luggage in storage.

Very noisy at various points through the night - 2am, 4am & 7.30am. Not much done regarding noisy inconsiderate customers chatting loudly (and not just after football match) on both evenings. Affected a restful weekend.

The staff were friendly and welcoming and made us feel comfortable and relaxed from arrival. The hotel was clean and pleasant with nice communal spaces to while away some time over a drink. The view from our balcony was absolutely amazing, thank you. The hotel doors closed quietly and the hotel was well sound-proofed so there was no disturbance to sleep from inside the hotel. We were also pleasantly surprised by how quiet the road outside the hotel was enabling us to have the window open. Breakfast was very nice.

The mattress could have been improved as it dipped towards the outside edge causing me to sleep more towards the middle and risking rolling off every time I turned over. We were in a bit of a dull corner of the restaurant for breakfast.

This was our second stay at the hotel. This time We had a weekend away to celebrate my husband’s birthday. I had asked the staff if they could arrange a birthday cake for our room for when we arrived. They went above and beyond with a cake banners and balloons. The staff are always very helpful friendly and lovely. Decoration is beautiful, very welcoming hotel. Very clean and tidy and most of all very comfortable beds and pillows. We booked a suite with balcony and sea view over looking the fun fair. We also booked the secure garage parking for £12 so we didn’t struggle finding a parking space. This is definitely by far the best hotel in Weymouth, very accommodating and easy, and we’ve stayed in a good few now! 100% recommend The Rex hotel for a lovely stay by the sea. Thank you to all the staff for a perfect weekend.

The staff are welcoming and helpful and Brian, in particular, goes above and beyond to help the guests. The breakfast is very good, with a plentiful choice of cooked items. The whole hotel is spotless and there is ongoing upkeep to keep this historic building looking fresh and shiny. The location is wonderful. A few paces to the beautiful beach and a few paces to the heart of the town. This was our fourth stay and we will be back.

There wasn't anything to dislike.

Hotel appears similar to be of a similar standard to others in the same vicinity but certainly superior to some of the smaller B&B premises which I have used in the past. Staff were very helpful and pleasant and there was a surprisingly good selection on the dinner menu. Breakfast was good. Location, right on the promenade/beach was excellent. Standard of decor and comfort of internal fittings was excellent. If the need arises I will certainly consider this hotel again.

For a one night stay there was nothing I didn't like in the hotel itself. Parking in this area is a nightmare and whilst I had a hotel garage space a couple of streets away this was expensive at £12 per night and not convenient for immediate access to the car had I needed it.

The whole weekend experience was first class the receptionist was very informative and gave us a parking pass for the weekend. The breakfast was well cooked and tasty I had the vegetarian and my partner had a gluten free breakfast. Plenty of cereals and juice to choose from. The staff were very polite and welcoming. On the Saturday evening we had a guitarist who was brilliant and finished off our weekend perfect. We would not hesitate to go back again.

The hotel was presented beautifully inside and out. Our room was lovely, we had the suite with a balcony and sea view. Bed was very comfortable but pillows not so great. The corner bath with spa jets was a lovely treat after the amount of walking we did in Weymouth! Staff were lovely very helpful and approachable. I can’t comment on the food as we ate elsewhere. We paid £12 on top of the overall price to park the car in the hotels private garage as parking isn’t great in Weymouth, that was easy to do and very convenient. I would highly recommend this hotel, probably the best we’ve stayed in around Weymouth and we’ve stayed in a good few now. I would definitely book again.

Walls were a bit thin and could hear the people talking in the room next door at 5am!

Located some small steps from the waterfront, the Hotel Rex is an excellent place to stay during a visit to Weymouth. The building stands out with its classic white facade, the interior is carefully modernized. Rooms are midsize and well equipped, and about half of them have sea view - very nice. Meals are on demand and served in the restaurant. Next to the reception there`s a bar offering from english breakfast tea by the pot to Birra Moretti on tap (!) and anything likewise healthy in between. Friendly and professional staff, we much appreciated their help sorting out a car problem. We'll drop in again whenever back in town.

Superb hotel, can't believe only has 3 stars, definitely deserves more. Has great facilities and spotlessly clean in a great location. Staff were polite, professional, friendly and extremely accommodating. Great value for money and breakfast was lovely. I didn't take part in the activities offered but the guests that did seemed to really enjoy them. Can't recommend it enough, would absolutely stay again.

Beautiful hotel at the far end of the bay just one street away from the harbour. Right on the sea front though quiet and perfect for my relaxing few days away. Room was lovely and clean and tea coffee and biscuits provided. Bed was very comfortable and hotel was perfect for tootling around the shops in the next road. Staff were really polite and helpful both on Reception and at breakfast. Breakfast was superb with lots of choice. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone although people staying were older couples rather than families.
