We very much liked the location, a few steps out and you have a lovely view of the quay stood by the bridge. Handy little shops right on your doorstep.

Slightly inconvenience having to hand in your bedroom key in to reception every time you want to exit the building. Sometimes we would have to wait in a queue to hand in and to ask for it back. I understand why they want to do it this way (fire reasons) but this has to the one only hotel I’ve come across that does this. One little problem we noticed which can be a quick fix, the hall way doors need to be adjusted on the close…they slam loudly when someone passes through. Not everyone manually closes the door slowly & quietly behind them.

Brilliant location, hotel is amazing, spotlessly clean we couldn’t fault it, beds really comfy ( take your own shower gel shampoo etc as this isn’t provided) Clean towels and room service everyday, shower not much pressure but depends what time of day it is, breakfast spot on, service outstanding, I absolutely will return, staff are very friendly nothing is too much trouble, the only grumble if i have to find one is…hotel is a tad outdated but hey ho!! Arnt we all!! Well done everyone!! You made our weekend unforgettable xx

It's in a perfect location and rooms are reasonably priced. The room we were in was a good size.

We were located at the back of the hotel and seemed to be above some kind of air conditioning unit which we could hear all the time, so we couldn't open up the window as the noise from it was too loud. Also, the shower pressure was really bad. All we managed to get out of it was a trickle, which was very disappointing. The plumbing certainly needs looking at. We did read bad reviews about it before we stayed, but were hoping that it wasn't the case, but unfortunately, the reviews were right!

It was the first time I had been away on my own, I'm 78 and just wanted to see what it was like. My Daughter dropped me off and went off in her little campervan to a campsite nearby. I was very impressed with the location, a very short walk to the harbour, and a ten minute or so, walk to the beach, my room was spotlessly clean, the bedding and towels were lovely and fresh. I was very impressed. Everywhere I went reception, the beautiful large lounge upstairs, the dining and breakfast rooms, were all smart and clean. Very friendly helpful staff. I began to feel at home there quite quickly. The food was what I call Pub food, but well cooked very tasty and served very quickly. The breakfast too was very well organised. I like the ordering method, the menu is on your table, tick what you like, great choice, it appears very quickly piping hot, beautiful coffee too. I had a great stay. Really lovely staff.

Well in the picture I was sent, the room had a better view than what I had, but I don't spend much time at the window and with that beautiful upstairs lounge, I could sit in there and watch the world go by, if I wanted to. I don't like to complain because I liked it there so much and won't hesitate to go again. Lovely place.

From the second i arrived until when i left the staff and management were absolutely superb. Could not fault them at all. I arrived with my Vespa and had not booked parking prior to arrival. The staff managed to get my scooter parked in their garage and for the security, it was worth the extra pennies. Breakfast was top notch and the room was clean and tidy. If i needed any more coffee, milk or sugar it was not a problem. In all honesty, norhing was too much trouble for any of the staff at rhe hotel. All were not only polite and courteous but also professional. My two days stay were trouble free and enjoyable. All my needs were catered for and i look forward to staying again in the future. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

There was nothing to dislike.

Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice. All staff were friendly and helpful. We were able to park our car in the hotel garage at the back of the building. The room was attractively furnished with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space for our clothing. There were three beds, a double and a single, so a family room. The view looked over the harbour bridge and was very pleasant. The en-suite was excellent and well sized. We were on the third floor and the lift was a short walk away. The location was excellent with the harbour, pubs and food outlets within easy walking distance of the hotel. We enjoyed our stay and expect to use that hotel again. The hotel is popular with coach parties.

We found that the electric shower in the en-suite didn't have an adequate supply of water for us and it was difficult to rinse the soap off. We didn't say to the staff as our stay was only a few days.

Helpful, friendly staff. Bathtub, not just a shower, was much appreciated. Nicely refurbished with a very traditional English atmosphere! We enjoyed the breakfast too. The central location is practical for visiting but the disadvantage was a lot of noise from the nearby pubs and bars at night.

The twins beds were jammed together - it would have been better had there been at least some small distance between them. Also some better arrangement for accessing the hotel from the internal hotel garage would make life easier when it rains - perhaps a keypad doorlock for guest use would solve the problem.

The hotel is in an excellent location, right in the middle of Weymouth beside the bridge. It's an easy walk from the beach, shops, restaurants, pubs, harbour, and railway station. The rooms were very clean and tidy, with very good wifi for a hotel. There was a small music festival going on across the road, but the windows shut out the sound completely, which was very impressive. Staff were fantastic, too! Very welcoming and helpful. We were very happy with our decision to stay here!

The place could definitely do with a new lift; the one they have is very small (3 persons max), old, and painfully slow. I'm sure it was safe enough, but we felt very uneasy using it. At mealtimes the ground floor smelt like a care home, so we didn't try the food. The shower was completely useless. The pressure wasn't even enough to wash my hair. We ended up just using a bucket and washing our hair over the sink. I know this problem wasn't just our room, because some other guests brought it up in conversation as we were waiting for the lift. All that being said, I must stress that these were all minor problems, and would not put me off staying again or recommending The Crown to others in future.

A great hotel with all the facilities like a bar and function rooms. In a great location with friendly staff. The room was good quality with an excellent shower. The breakfast was very good too.

For future reference, you need to remember to write specifically to what you want to eat at breakfast on the order sheet provided, once you have been seated .If you are vegan or vegetarian, you need to write this on the sheet, like soya milk for your tea or coffee. Also, you will need to be specific with your order, with like writing on the form that you want mushrooms and tomatoes for example.

We loved the location , the staff were friendly, happy and helpful. Very clean , the house cleaning staff had a high level of cleanliness. The manager was very welcoming and all staff . Breakfast was good value , we had also a couple of meals in the hotel , food was delicious and good value as prices are about the same as other food places . I can't fault at all this wonderful hotel and have been back a few times now , each time has been the same experience. Thank you too all the staff for making our stays feel home from home .
