Breakfast was excellent. Best range of options we've seen in a long while and between us we had some very nice breakfasts. Beds were comfortable, great shower and hosts very friendly and helpful. Abbotsleigh is just a few yards from the Cleveland Way which we were walking on so definitely recommend for walkers on that route. Also easy walk downhill to the centre of Whitby. Bit of a hill coming back up of course but not a problem (and there are buses of you wanted to avoid that)

The breakfast was exceptional and was a good selection of both continental and cooked breakfast to suit all dietary requirements and the Guesthouse was beautifully presented and the room was perfect just what we needed. Even though the weather was very warm the room was cool and very clean. The property was in a good location close to all amenities ans the beach.

I enjoyed my whole stay and I have nothing negative to say about the Guesthouse or our stay in Whitby.

Great breakfast choice and delivery, we were in the downstairs twin room which was brilliant for those of us with impaired mobility added to which the X4 bus stop at the end of the road made it easy to get down into Whitby and back up again. Also good for a bus ride up to Sandsend and a beach walk back to Whitby. And did I say that Anita and Rob were top hosts. The clincher was the parking which otherwise can be a problem in Whitby.

It was all good.

Being able to arrive earlier than stated, allowing us more time in whitby. The house is beautifully decorated and furnished to a very high standard. The breakfast was easily 5 star rating and no request was ever refused. Friendly and welcoming hosts adding their own personal touches. Good size rooms, comfy beds and pillows. Plenty of permit parking on the road. Would definitely come again and highly recommend

If i had to find something, it would be anemone room needs a blind at the bathroom window, however, the net curtain is fine when no lights are required

The breakfast was delicious all local products nice and fresh The little home baked cakes and biscuits left every afternoon was a lovely Touch We loved the little bottles of fresh milk too Sharon and Paul were lovely very attentive

I wasn't keen on our room the Starfish as it was to dark only one window and dark furniture we had to leave the light on most times I didnt enjoy staying in that room as i like bright light and airy just my preference Hard to apply my make up , i don't wear alot thankfully but hard to see because the room was dark No window in the bathroom and very small We saw the room next door as the door was open after guests left and it was being cleaned ,it was beautiful really big bathroom and lots of windows nice and bright light furniture something i would have really enjoyed

Great location, free parking Breakfast was fresh and hot, good choice Hosts very welcoming Room was nice and clean and quiet even though 100m away from sea front, nice touches with little fridge with water and chocs. Nice coffee too

Nothing couldn't fault it

The hosts Paul and Sharon were most welcoming and helpful. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable.We had complimentary home baked cakes and biscuits daily which was a nice treat. There was space for car parking.We liked the great location at the top of the hill within walking distance of the beach and several restaurants. The breakfast was excellent with a good variety of choices.It was room service only in line with previous covid measures.This has been continued due to favourable customer feedback. This is not a criticism from our part : we have a preference for breakfast to be served in the dining room.

I stayed for 4 nights. The room was huge and bed comfortable. Unfortunately the dining room is still closed so had to eat breakfast in my room. There was a basket of cleaning items left in bathroom for guests to clean their room if they wished, so owners did not enter toom during my stay. Breakfast was so tasty especially the scrambled egg and smoked salmon on a muffin. Its about a 20 min walk to bus station and main shopping area. Amazing home baking left ouside the room each day

That diming room still closed so didn't meet other guests and cleaning items left for guests to clean their own rooms

The comfortable room was spacious, bright and airy. There was a large en suite wet room style bathroom. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room, with a good system giving open access to extra supplies of both whenever needed and also fresh milk from the fridge in the dining room as needed! No little UHT pods here! Plus we were utterly spoiled at breakfast by Paul and Sharon's home made preserves and bread - and we came back to find gorgeous home baked goodies in our room!! Excellent attention to detail made this a special stay.

There was nothing to dislike!

The overall stay was great. Staff very friendly and very accommodating. Check in was easy. All rooms were lovely and the breakfast was amazing. It was the extras you noticed more like fresh milk in your room, glasses, nice biscuits and chocolates, coffee machine. Would defo recommend it.
