The hotel was easy to get to with great facilities and lovely helpful staff. Car parking was available a short walk from the hotel and check in was quick and simple. Our room was clean and tidy and had plenty of facilities included in the room. The staff were lovely and helpful during our stay and made us feel very welcome.The Breakfast buffet was amazing, probably one of the best Breakfast buffets we have had in a long time. The bar was lovely to sit in and the drinks were a very reasonable price. We really enjoyed the Karaoke on the Sunday night. We will definitely be back and will be stopping again when there is other entertainment on.

A lovely central location, close to the harbour and centre of whitby. Staff were very friendly, creating a lovely atmosphere. All you can eat English breakfast in the morning. Beds very clean and comfortable.

Lots of stairs to the bedrooms. Not ideal if you are disabled, however, due to the hotel being a listed building lifts are not permitted. Carpet up to our room was worn and looked very shabby. The room it's self was clean, there was a severe lack of plug points in the room to charge things like phones and smart watches and none at all by the bed. The 4 plug sockets in the room were located where the TV is. Could do with some by the bed though. Bed was clean and comfortable but not enough pillows for my personal choice, but that is my preference only.

Location was good Breakfast was lovely with variety and good quality ingredients. Cooked breakfast consisted of bacon, sausage, scrambled egg, tomatoes, baked beans and mushrooms. There was toast with various toppings, fresh fruit, cereal, coffee, tea and fruit juice. All self serve. Service was very good from check in to check out.

Carpets on stairs is worn and in some places could be dangerous. Four floors with no lift but we were told about this in advance so no surprises. However i think they need to replace the stair carpeting to be safe.

beds was really comfy with nice soft pillows massive walk in shower with great water pressure cute welcome email stating check in/out times breakfast times etc nice breakfast but wish it had more choice

its above a bar that is open til 2am and the music is really loud. you wont be able to sleep til after 2 we were 2 floors up and the bass pumps through the building some idiot kept us all awake bank holiday friday from around 3am-5am trying to kick the back door down to get in, clearly lost their key, clearly didnt care about anyone sleeping

Amazing location, friendly staff, the rooms were clean and ideal, very comfy bed. The pub itself is lovely, we loved the different styles throughout the pub and karaoke on Wednesday was great! No parking at the pub, but its not an issue. There is a few car parks less then 3 minutes walk away, paid £27 for parking. But this covered us from Monday 4pm till Thursday 4pm. All covered by CCTV.

Breakfast is between 8am-9:30am through the week, unfortunately we were not awake any of the days to try this. The room wasn't cleaned daily, no fresh towels or toliet paper, however I'm sure if we had asked they would of been accommodating.

Great location, 5 minute walk to the centre of Whitby. Hotel was lovely and clean and very modern inside. The room was comfortable, with tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer and shower gels etc. Breakfast was included and provided good value for money. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The window in room 4 didn’t close properly and so was quite drafty (thick curtains helped to prevent it being too much of an issue). There are quite a few stairs going up to ladies toilet, bedrooms and down to the dining room, so not ideal for people with mobility issues as there is no lift.

so local to the centre of Whitby. Great value for money. The staff were absolutely amazing. Very friendly and helpful. I have a slight disability, the staff and even members drinking came to my aid, I took all my luggage up to the first floor. The food in the morning for breakfast was amazing, full English breakfast self served.

I personally didn’t have anything, however, I have been told and seen with the reviews regarding Friday night Saturday night and Sunday night, where the music from the bar travels up through the building. We personally did not encounter this so cannot comment.

Location great as travelling by train. Breakfast was good , bed was comfy. Room more spacious than expected.

Fresh fruit at breakfast. Wanted to purchase a latte coffee in bar but they didn’t have milk!! Toasted sandwich advertised on board outside but then weren’t available when we tried to order them. Went to Co op and bought sandwiches and coffee but told we couldn’t eat them downstairs as it wasn’t food purchased from the hotel so had to eat sitting on bed in our room!! Found that a bit annoying after trying to buy in the hotel .

I thought the hotel room has Been very cleverly designed things like the lights on the walls next to bed are good u can move them around.the shower was absolutely brilliant usually when I stop in hotels I am often very disappointed by lack of water pressure .the decor was really nice and modern it was warm in the room that is a must for me.and I like the wardrobe because it had shelving ,another great desighn idea the breakfast buffet was really good but I would say fried eggs would have been nice and the sausage were poor standard but overall it was very good and we wouldstop there again in the future..

The breakfast could be improved with better quality sausages.and fried eggs as another option. Wish the room had socket next to bed for charging phone .

the staff were very friendly and helpful. lovely breakfast. fantastic location, you come out the back entrance and it is just across the road.

my room and bed was fine. my husband’s room was a bit noisey as he was on the main road, and bed needed a new mattress. He could hear people talking next door as the walls were a bit thin. the wardrobe was a bit weird as you couldn’t hang dresses in it as it had a shelf across. so if you go take hangers you can hang your dresses up on the door, which is ok.
