Redwings is a large hotel, right next to the big circular road around Wolverhampton, 5-10 minutes walk from the centre, and only 15 minutes walk from the station. The rooms are clean and roomy and the beds are comfy. The staff is very helpful. When I wanted to change room, that was no issue and I could leave my stuff in the 'old' room until the evening.

I had a room facing the crossroad and which was excessively noisy. Also, the room was quite hot, so I had to leave the window open. So I advice everyone to request a room on the other side. The hotel could use a bit of a refresh and a lick of coloured paint. Also, the reception behind glass gives an instantly cheap/dangerous impression of the hotel.

The location of the hotel was excellent for us as we were going the Civic Hall for a concert, but seems in easy access to the wider area of Wolverhampton, particularly the football ground being just across the road, the hotel was easy to find and although car parking was available, the car park isn't very big, but is adequate, on arrival the chap on reception was excellent, very friendly and helpful, he actually took me outside and showed me how to get to the Civic Hall, the chap on the bar/restaurant area was also very friendly and helpful, the food in the evening was excellent, but the only downside being not very much choice, we had cheeseburgers and they were very nice, later on after the concert we ordered pizza, although the choices on the menu were OK the only one available was cheese and tomato, but again the quality was very good, the hotel was very tidy and clean and excellent to stay in the hotel and staff were excellent and we would definitely stay again.

The only thing for us would be a better choice of food.

Excellent service from the staff as soon as we arrived. Check in was pleasant and straightforward with no issues and the chap on the desk was very friendly and welcoming. He also happily showed us where we needed to be for an event we were going to in the evening. The gent serving us for food at the bar was great too, very friendly and quick service. The food was also very nice, both evening meal and breakfast were very good and enjoyable. We got back from our event late and they were happy to provide us with food to take back to the room for supper which was ideal. The Rooms were basic but clean and tidy and the beds were very comfortable. It was very quiet too which helped get a,good night sleep.

Only downsides I'd mention is my TV had no remote control and there was no ironing board or hair dryer in the room but I got an ironing board from reception so wasn't a massive problem.

The hotel is a fifteen minute walk from the railway station and very close to the city centre which was perfect as I was in Wolverhampton for a concert at The Halls. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and had a kettle which is always nice.

It was a bit airless. I was on the ground floor, there were no windows in the corridor and only one in my room that opened a few centimetres. There is no air-conditioning either, so the room was quite hot and stuffy. It was also on a main road and there was a lot of traffic noise. Take earplugs.

My car battery died during the stay and the staff were so amazing and helpful in this regard. They got me the number of a local garage. They were supportive in every regard. They are an asset to the lodge I must say. Because of their treatment, I would definitely choose to stay there again. The only thing which needs consideration is the cleanliness of the carpets in the room but otherwise it was a very nice and spacious room with all the facilities.

Cleanliness of the carpets. They were stained.

It's difficult to judge value for money in these days of dynamic pricing, when everyone pays a different price, but I paid £81 for single use of a good sized double room. Hotel was pretty no-frills and breakfast fairly basic, but I would stay there again for the same price.

Located right next to a six lane highway, even with the double glazing, traffic noise might disturb a light sleeper. There was no reception on at least half the TV channels.

We were in a prime location to the venue we were attending that day. Staff are polite, and the facilities were clean.

Parking isn't straightforward to find. It's located to the rear of the building. Also, the sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable; wafer thin, resulting in springs stabbing your back all night. And whilst the room was competitively priced, it didn't contain something as basic as a microwave.

Very good location, central to town centre and restaurants etc. 10 minute walk. Has its own car park which is reasonably priced. Room clean, tidy and adequate. Shower great with toiletries and lovely towels. Big, comfortable bed, nice bed linen. As an extra ,has vending machines in reception for chocolate bars, crisps and 1 for hot drinks. Very nice breakfast, either continental, full English or both! Staff very polite, pleasant and helpful.

No food available, in the cafe/ bar, except “3 pizzas in the building “ on the evening we were there. Unpleasant smell in the corridor outside our room.

The room was large and clean. The breakfast was not extravagant, but I got everything i needed. My favourite part of this hotel was the proximity to the train station (15 minute walk) and to Molineux Stadium and The Halls Wolverhampton (both about a 5 minute walk from the hotel).

The hotel as well as the room showed a bit of wear and tear and would benefit from refurbishment.

Location, I was visiting the Archives, so perfect for me. Room was warm & a good size, walk in shower ideal. Kettle in room plus tea & coffee. Great for a short stay. Staff very friendly.& helpful.

Bed was a bit lumpy, but I still slept OK. Smell of bleach was a bit overwhelming, I opened the window for a while, which helped.
