Home cooked breakfast was excellent, followed by toast if wanted. Cereals, croissants panstries, all available. Room was cosy with a large double bed (bigger than a Kingsize, I would say) which gave us a good nights sleep. Tea and coffee facilities. Large bathroom that you went a couple of steps down into. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Bus route very good, so we left the car in the hotel's car park somedays and took the bus to the coast.

Unfortuntely, the mirror behind the bath did get splashed when showering. I overcame this by kneeling down in the bath, however my husband was unable to knee, so the mirror did get wet. Apart from this, everything else was good.

Received a very warm welcome on arrival and were provided with all the information we required re breakfast, wifi, etc. We had booked two rooms, a standard double and a deluxe double. Both were were very well decorated in a bright and airy style which fitted well with the age of the building. Teas and coffees provided as well as a fan, iron and hairdryer. Dinner was excellent with a broad selection and the food was very well presented, well cooked and very hot. The service was exceptional, very attentive. Breakfast again was a good selection, something for everyone and well presented and hot. Again the service at breakfast was second to none.

Would have liked a couple of bottles of water provided in the room and the shower was underpowered - but this would not have any bearing on me staying there again.

Although we were not on holiday, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Findon Manor. We had a beautiful and very comfortable room in this characterful hotel. Our room overlooked the garden and was very quite and peaceful. The food was excellent; delicious breakfast cooked to order and although we hadn’t intended to, we ate dinner in the restaurant every evening of our stay. The staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming.

Our only criticism was the temperature in the lounge area in the evening. The weather had suddenly taken a turn for the worst and it was wet and chilly and a blazing fire would have made all the difference.

The staff were welcoming and attentive. Nothing too much trouble despite having other activities going on at the hotel when I was there. Excellent choice on the menu for evening meal. Breakfast was a welcome sight with full menu. I loved the home baked bread and yeasty cakes. My room was very comfortable , place to work on computer. I appreciated the towelling wrap to relax in ! Thank you.

I asked for a ground floor room and walk-in shower as I have difficulty in walking. Booking.com did not explain that there are no rooms on the ground floor. They did offer a more expensive room that has a separate shower which I declined as there is no lift and I understood it was upstairs. There is a step in the bathroom where I would like to have had a handrail to steady myself . Perhaps there is a way to offer a room for someone with poor mobility/ or a lift for wheelchair user?

Location, old manor house, large gardens, plenty of parking, friendly staff, delicious breakfast & evening meal, helpful advice on local attractions, good quality tasty biscuits and 'proper' milk in bedroom. Back door entrance when needed. Quiet at night.

Lack of sufficient water pressure in bathroom meant shower very poor and bath took absolutely ages to fill. When wooden blinds opened they revealed windows that need a clean.

The food here is fantastic, we stayed for dinner and everything was delicious. Service was lovely, all the staff are really friendly, you get a lovely family vibe from them. The Snooty Fox bar has a lovely country pub feel about it, you can forget that you are even in a hotel. They have excellent knowledge of the wines they serve, so always ask for a recommendation. Its recently been taken over, and we had a chance to chat to the new owners, who have lots of lovely plans. Can't wait to go back and see it in the summer months.

The breakfast was great! Excellent choice! And the staff were friendly and personable. The bedroom was large and spacious and there are two pubs within walking distance, we only visited one, which was really lovely too!

Have to have the blind down in the bathroom for the full duration of stay, as it was overlooked by the building’s opposite. Meant we had to have the light on all the time regardless of the time of day.

This is a beautiful, traditional place to stay, we would like to see it in the warmer months as the gardens will be lovely. Its quiet, peaceful, full of old world charm. The food is excellent, local, cooked fresh, plentiful. Our room was warm, the bed very comfy, cleanliness top rate. Kay, the owner, is very much a people person, and very hands on, her smile and cheerful welcome, remembering the little things about us, made our experience one to remember.

The area surrounding the hotel, and the polite staff. The breakfast was cooked to order, with a good choice, the young girl who took our orders, was very polite and her happy smile and banter was a pleasant start to our day.

Very small room. We are small people and we felt hemmed in and struggled to get to the bathroom without tripping up on the bedware., Shower was poor, as it kept going cold then very hot, the high steps in the shower room were dangerous too.We were so glad we were only staying in that room one night We had to eat in the bar as there was a wedding on and they were using the main dining area. Plus they had added a high service charge that we had not noticed till paying the bill. The room Was not really worth the price we paid, even though we booked it discounted, we have paid a lot less for much better rooms.
