Rooms although black out blinds would be more suitable. Good double glazing no noise from road. However the ruins can become very hot with the windows closed. So the colder months would be better to stay. There are modern tv and a good selection of food

No room service breakfast as booking. Com advertised. This was necessary as I made this booking an overnight stay being treated in hospital and I didn’t want to come down in the morning. It was a shocking experience at 11.30 the fire alarm went off. I could find no one only two other guests in the hotel. I had to call the police and eventually 25 minutes later the alarm was off this affected my sleep as I needed it after my day in hospital

All of the staff were very friendly, extremely helpful and they were really what made our stay such an enjoyable one. Everyone we encountered during our stay, from the breakfast waiters, chefs, reception, bar staff and our waitress in the evening, did a wonderful job of representing The Lemon Tree. The food in the restaurant was absolutely delicious and, despite being incredibly busy, we never waited long for food or drinks. Our room was a good size, very comfortable and we both slept really well. We will definitely return. Thanks for a lovely stay Raymond and Lynn from Glasgow

The dinning room was large with a few smaller rooms off , The bedroom was one I had stayed in before so had requested this room it was good .we had clean towels and the room tidied every dayalso bottles of water coffee and biscuits replenished .dinner in same room as breakfast The dinners were lovely and plenty on the plates the staff were very helpful and friendly . Bed was very comfortable .

The breakfast was very nice but I would have liked to have had the option of cereal as do not normally eat a cooked breakfst everyday. we were there 4 nights on the two occasions i asked for soup it was the same one so I had something else that I did not really want. As i am a little older it would have been nice if there was a lounge with some comfortable chairs that could sit in .

Great staff Excellent value for money Amazing scallops at dinner Lovely big bathrooms Amazing 5* breakfast

Unable to enter the tight car park entrance, although the staff came out straight away and found an alternative. Soundproofing is bad and maybe I was unlucky with my neighbour who was constantly slamming Doors and talking loudly late into the night. Unsure why they don’t buy door silencer pads which is a very easy fix for these type of wood fire regulation doors.

Every member of the Lemon Tree team were superb, they were all very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We had our dog with us and he was made to feel very welcome and was well looked after. The room was clean, comfortable and well appointed and even had a fridge and microwave. We had asked for a room downstairs with easy access to outside for the dog and we were given a room that suited us perfectly. The bathroom was small but had a lovely hot shower. The breakfast and Sunday lunch were superb, we would stay again just to eat in the restaurant.

A nicer outside space for when the sun is shining would have been lovely

Good location & free parking - lovely building Water provided in room Fridge & microwave in room Comfortable bed Nice toiletries Soft towels All staff are a credit Food in restaurant excellent (the voucher/gift card deals are well worth the money & can save at least £20 per couple - more depending on actual price for a course on menu)

The room was rather small for 2 people (we got in each other’s way a lot). Wardrobe hanging rail was rather high (I’m vertically challenged) & awkward to reach because of position in relation to desk/dressing table Towel rail in bathroom was not on (despite our enquiry about its operation).

The staff were very friendly and happy to answer questions about the area. The dinner had two vegan entree options that were delicious. The breakfast was not as vegan friendly but the staff were very accommodating. The room was spacious enough.

I thought it would be more of a boutique hotel but the decor throughout the hotel needs an update. When we arrived by car the street in front of the hotel was under construction so we had to drive out of the way and figure out how to enter the car park. It wasn't clear where to park--we had to drive through a very narrow space to get to it.

The staff were very helpful and friendly and gave us tips on Wrexham, even helping us to get a taxi on the day we were leaving when our train wasn't running. The breakfast was delicious and they had a match day special on. The rooms were cosy and comfortable, perfect for a night's stay! Location very convenient for getting to the racecourse.

Ventilation not great in the bathroom in one of our rooms. Other guests were a bit noisy in the middle of the night you could hear everything but not really a fault on the hotel!

The room was very well appointed. The bathroom was very good, and one could actually open the windows in the room, a real "plus" frankly. The food was very very good indeed, dinner and the breakfasts. The staff were helpful and friendly. I'd definitely go back,

The distance between the building and its car-park boundary wall is "only-just" wider than one's car which calls for some very careful driving into and out of the car-park. The car park spaces (depending on numbers) can be difficult to get into or out of. If I ran The Lemon Tree I would want to do something about the parking, perhaps park next door in the seemingly empty property, which has parking a-plenty but is not used at all.

Breakfast was great, very tasty and promptly cooked bed was comfortable, bathroom was good. Room was a little small and some guests very noisy. The music was quite loud when we arrived ans the bar a little rowdy. Evening meal was good and service good.

The road taking us to the hotel was closed off and the staff didn't tell us when we phoned to explain a delayed arrival, it would have helped. The entrance to the car park is exceptionally narrow, literally millimeters between car and wall. No help with luggage and nothing offered.
