Absolutely phenomenal place. The room was spotless. Despite the heat wave while we were visiting, the room stayed cool and was pitch black and night. The bathroom was extremely clean with plenty of amenities and the shampoo/conditioner on site was of high quality and smelt lovely. Towels and bedding were both high thread count, high quality cotton. The breakfast in the morning was freshly cooked to order and had plentiful vegetarian options. There is parking outside of the bnb for all the rooms. They have a very clean and comfortable lounge area across from the dining room with a fireplace and a honesty bar. 15 minutes from major trails, and multiple pubs in walking distance. Hosts were phenomenal and had stellar recommendations for things to do in the area.

Pillows were polyfill and slightly uncomfortable- otherwise everything else was lovely

The breakfast was excellent, and the choice went beyond what is usually offered, everything was prepared specially and you could mix and match items on the menu to create your own breakfast. The staff were exceptionally helpful and the guests sitting room was a welcome bonus. The owners asked that you did not bring hot food back to your room, but if you wanted a take awy they offered to set you up a table in the dining room. The hotel was within walking distance of the centre of Yelverton and easy travelling distance (bus or car) to both Plymouth and Tavistock as well as a short drive to be right in the centre of Dartmoor. My only reservation about recomending this hotel is that we want to make sure there is always room for us to come back.

Very friendly. Lovely welcome from Graham as soon as we parked the car. He took our case and made us a cup of tea . The location was close to the village centre, a short walk to the pub and shop.

A view of the moor would have been nice - I don’t know if other rooms had one. A small thing as everything else was faultless.

The hotel is fabulous - lovely room that looked out over the moors.... the staff were lovely and the breakfast was exceptional.

i was there on Saturday night and breakfast was between 8am and 9am which was early for me.... The Shower was disappointing - I couldn't get the temperature right and it was a bit sluggish... The toilet in my room didn't flush properly - there is clearly a plumbing problem there.

The place is wonderful, quiet, yet near local shops and ideal for visiting Dartmoor, Tavistock or Plymouth. The owner is exceptionally friendly and helpful and the breakfasts are superb and freshly cooked to order.

Fabulous hosts who couldn’t have been more helpful. A lovey house and rooms, complete with private fridge stocked daily with fresh milk and water, a sitting room with honesty bar and little outside seating area. All beautifully decorated in a period style.

I should have gone for a more expensive room. they were fabulous!

Everything about our stay at Barnabas House was excellent Graham and Rowena were welcoming and friendly hosts who couldn't do enough for you. We loved our room and we made use of the outside seating area Our bed was exceptionally comfortable with lovely soft bedding and we both slept really well. Complimentary teas, coffees and toiletries were of the highest standard and we loved the fresh milk in the room. The breakfast was awesome with quality ingredients used. Thanks so much for our brilliant and relaxing stay. Hope to see you again soon.

Loved everything the rooms were gorgeous clean and comfy.Toiletries were luxurious. Breakfast was plentyful.The proprietors couldn't of been nicer . The guest house was very close to the village which had a lovely pub called The Rock which served beautiful food. There was also a small co op a butchers post office dentist foot clinic petrol station and many more convenient shops. I would highly recommend this lovely guest house

Everything was perfect nothing at all to dislike.

Very friendly and nothing too much trouble. Exceptionally clean throughout with a calm & quiet ambience. A huge choice at breakfast which was great. Mattress & pillows were great for a lovely night sleep.

Barnabas House is a wonderful little place, very quiet and spotlessly clean!! Our hosts were friendly and helpful, keen to offer help and advice too.

There was nothing to dislike.
