Clean. Nice and helpful stuff. The breakfast is rather simple.

The hotel is good, no complaints. The old town itself could be better. Saturday afternoon it's a walking dead territory. The city has a big problem with crackheads and homeless. The police are nowhere to be seen. Some crazy homeless spit on me while I was passing by on the Palacio Salvo (the main attraction of the city). I didn't feel safe during the day in the centre. I added some photos of the touristy area and trashy river with dead fish. Sad.

the central location was good, as was the room and the staff There were 2 elevators, so we did not have to wait long for one to arrive, the breakfast was okay.

when we checked in for a stay of 5 nights we were first given a room on floor 7 that hardly had any internet. Also the toilet was not flushing there. The next day we were given a much better room on the second floor with everything working but why were we given the bad room in the first place while the hotel was not full?

The staff, upon arrival, were very friendly and allowed an early check in. Staff helped us book a city tour which was excellent. Room was pretty much as shown and described on Bookings. The rooms are starting to show their age though. The location is great, a short distance to the 2 main streets but far enough to be relatively quiet. Beds were comfortable and room was satisfactorily clean. Overall, good value for rate paid.

Breakfast could be improved but was satisfactory for the combo room/ breakfast rate.

The accommodations are nice; breakfast has scrambled eggs and a nice fruit salad bowl. The rest of the things are a bit too sugary for my taste but it was all good. The location makes it very easy to get around as you're just a little over a block from 18 de Julio, the main street.

Wi Fi is definitely spotty here. As of this writing, I have been traveling for 2+ years now and Wi Fi here was the most "hit or miss" I have encountered. I even changed rooms from the 7th to the 2nd floor because they told me there was a problem with internet on the 7th floor, but it was just marginally better on the 2nd. If Wi Fi is highly important to you, just be advised that while I found the mornings to be reasonable, after 8:30 or 9:00 p.m. you may have problems.

Good quality hotel. Professional Reception Staff. Deciding to cut our visit short got a refund for the 3rd night without any hesitation.

Poor soundproofing between rooms. When TV was on in adjoining room sounded like it was in one's own. May have been very noisy people. Reception were happy enough to let us swop rooms

The location is very central , near by restaurants and main streets. We got a room on a 7th floor which was quiet from the night traffic and with good soundproof. We were happy to have breakfast,it was simple but quite good.Coffee was great! Wifi worked perfectly.

The matress was a bit lumpy, but it was not such a big deal. Also, the power plugs by the bed were not working properly, with chargers or lights (seems like a problem with connection)

This was my second stay at the Oxford Hotel and I must say that on both occasions the service was excellent, the room and the hotel, in general, were very pleasant and comfortable, and the breakfast was very good. Excellent option to stay in Montevideo and great price-quality ratio. Highly recommended.

Very good service and kind personnel. Clean rooms. Comfy beds (I like soft mattresses). Great location close to the seafront and the old city. Reasonably priced.

As it often happens in larger hotels, you pick up a lot of noise from neighboring rooms, from slamming doors to people talking out loud. All pretty manageable though.

A very comfortable stay. Room was clean, staff friendly, good breakfast with strong coffee and various juices included, comfortable bedding and a great location. Parking available across from the hotel for a fee.

The doors to the elevators slam very heavily and it can be heard throughout the night as people come and go

Lovely hotel, good location in the city center, good breakfast, the bedroom was a decent size.

The walls are a bit thin, so don't forget your earplugs in case you have loud neighbors.
