Quality Inn & Suites Birmingham - Highway 280

it was clean, it smelled good, snd the location was very good for my purposes.

the breakfast was not good. there wasn’t any protein like scrambled eggs and bacon or sausage. It only had things like cereal & waffles that are extremely high in carbs/sugar. being a diabetic, there was nothing that I could eat.

great value, clean rooms, very nice staff and indoor pool. on the reviews people complained about the tv not being in English. If they kept going through the channels, they would have found the English speaking channels. People also complained about not having room darkening shades. the room darkening shade was behind the sheer shade, all they needed to do was pull it down. all the complaints I saw on the reviews could have been problems fixed pretty quickly had those people just taken the time to ask the front desk. I highly recommend this place and will be back again.

i loved that this hotel is right off of 280 and convenient to so many places to eat. The staff were very nice and courteous.

The shower didn’t work, the water would continue to come from the faucet but when you tried to turn the shower part on, it would barely drip. The room that I stayed in was facing the front of the building and there was a bright light shining in my window all night. The window had a pull down shade but no curtains to close to keep the light out.

Great new facility, wonderful location, comfortable with a lovely gym.

Staff was either very busy or disoriented to time and place of customers coming and going. They called me on the first day of a 2 day stay to ask why my things were still in the room. THEY, Turned my room key card off and when I returned later in the day and asked why, they said , we thought you left. But your things are still in the room. No apology, no reason given for mix up, just handed my key card back.

except for the beds I couldn't get in them. I had a step stool in my truck, so I had to go out to the truck at 2:45am and get the stool. I had literally climbed in the bed. I was in so much pain that I didn't want to get out of the bed. So I went out and got the stool. after I woke up to go to the bathroom.

My reservation was cancelled by the booking agent, not your Hotel. I didn’t know. But, The woman on duty was understanding and was able to locate a room for me. I was extremely relieved. I try to book directly, but some of the sites are trickly and lead to a reservation center. I will definitely call the Hotel directly next time. Great location, and we grabbed the breakfast to go and ate in the car. Excellent stay.

The location of this hotel was great - right next to a lot of shops, cafes, etc., and everything was just a few mins drive away - not too far from Downtown Birmingham too. Check-in staff was really nice, super efficient, friendly and checked me in in 2 minutes - lobby was clean and everything looked super neat and tidy. Loved how they accepted cash too 👍🏼😃 Room was great, beds were perfect height, soft and pillows were firm and super comfy - TV had quite a few options channels-wise, and having a microwave and fridge was super helpful. The bathroom was stocked with more than enough towels too.

The rooms were nice, the front attendant at night time was super nice & helpful and the manager in the morning was a delight and breakfast had good options.

The pool was freezing, it felt like diving into a pool of hose water. Waiting to receive & return the towels for the pool was inconvenient.

The location is really weird. You can’t see the hotel from the main road, which is super busy so if you miss the turn, you have to pull some sketchy turns and wait a long time for the traffic to pass until you can drive back. It is near restaurants and shopping, but the lack of good signage to indicate the turn is unfortunate.

The room was exactly as pictured with working fridge & microwave, clean carpet, bed linens & bathroom. We enjoyed the pool & the pool area was clean and seemed well cared for. For someone looking for a chic room, this isn't it - it had a bit of a hodge podge of furniture, like they are in the middle of replacing items, but all were clean and seemed fresh, not worn - was fine for us.

The breakfast was weird the first day, with only a few selections and chairs up on dirty tables, but better the 2nd day and we made it work both days. We were there the middle of the week and I was just glad to have coffee for me and muffins for the kids, plus the pandemic has caused staff shortages and lessened the amount of people who want to use this service.
