Holiday Inn Birmingham - Hoover, an IHG Hotel

the front staff is great

when I come down for breakfast first you hid the food behind a wall and you have a rude person that meet you when you walk in to the dinning room with no hello or any this but you have a ticket when you ask do i need a ticket she keep saying it 3 more time I said no I don't have one do I need one well it 15 dollars first with out seeing the food first pay my 15 and when to see over cooked and burnt bacon over cooked cold eggs and some cereal no milk and this was at 730 in the morning dirty dishes lying and a guy just standing there. and as I watch many of you guest turn away you are wasting food due to you staff. I go to I hop next time.

location and how clean it was . The restaurant staff was exceptional from the gentleman at the bar and the sweet lady at breakfast went over and above to make sure we had what we needed .

we got a call at 1130 from the front desk saying they needed another credit card as they didn’t think booking. com gave them the right number .i told her it was already on my statement I was not giving them any credit card numbers . i was sound asleep - thought it was a scam . the gentleman at the desk the next morning gave us breakfast cards for our trouble .

The breakfast was good me and my husband both enjoyed it. The location was perfect that is one of the reasons we booked this hotel because of the location it is in. The staff was great as well. I loved the atmosphere in the hotel and room.

There was nothing I didn't like. We were very pleased with our decision to stay in this location. I heard that there is going to be a remodel in November of this year and I can't wait to come back to stay after it is done.

Overall we loved the hotel was very clean and the staff was extremely professional and friendly. Would stay here again!

Little disappointed that the booking was pricey and breakfast wasn’t complimentary or the fact it was about $15 per person and we only had a buffet to choose from which was equivalent to most hotels complimentary breakfast and not fresh. Parking was also difficult due to large power trucks and their equipment taking up about 20 spaces.

Check in and out was fast and the staff was very nice and genuinely seemed happy when they spoke to me. Room was very nice, and very clean. I didn’t have time to stay for breakfast but i hope to next time. Keep it going just like that Holiday Inn!!!

Didn’t like that I couldn’t stay longer

The staff was so friendly and welcoming. Everyone went out of their way to help. The room and bathroom were very clean. The bed was so comfortable!

I have nothing but good things to say about the service and the staff. Very glad that I chose Holiday Inn In Hoover. My son has moved to Hoover so I will be staying here every time I visit him.

Staff is fabulous. Spacious lobby and huge dining area with bar for happy hour/dinner plus full breakfast. I arrived in the morning and was able to work in a booth while a room was cleaned and prepared for me. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Room is clean, spacious and comfortable. Love the bed, combination of soft and firm pillows marked on pillowcases, and sheets are luxurious. Strong wifi in lobby and in room met all my work needs. Sunny private location close to freeway and main street has lots of amenities nearby to drive to. Can't beat happy hour for beer and wine. Also a full bar and big screen tv. Food was delicious and so convenient and pleasant to not have to leave the hotel at all. Tip: I was given accessible room (I didn't request or need it but it was all that was available) and it is twice the size of traditional rooms! Pool is clean and super warm with wall of windows for natural light. Nice little gym with free weights and cardio equipment; everything you need. Hotel was full but still quiet. I slept peacefully. Never had to wait long for elevator and plenty of room in parking lot which was week lit and felt safe.

I have absolutely no complaints and would definitely stay here again. Only nit I can find is there was a place in bathroom where wall paper was patched. Not an issue at all!

Everyone was very sweet and welcoming. The check in and out was very quick and easy.

I did not like that the breakfast was not included in the price so we did not use the breakfast option. Someone also entered our room during us sleeping and was a little startling.

Everything was clean, and the staff was very nice. The comfortable bed and pillows were definitely amazing!!

Probably should get little bit bigger refrigerator for the bedrooms. A hot tub would have be very great, since the pool was very very small. You should include breakfast with everyone's purchase of their rooms. 😉

Well considering I booked what was called an "executive king suite" and it was just a standard king room. Even the pictures online of the room weren't accurate for the actual room. Was mostly clean but there were some serious stains on the carpeting. The television was significantly outdated and very small.
