Upon arriving earlier than expected, Tiguana greeted me at the sign in desk. She was very professional, super sweet and got me signed right in. The design of the atrium was modern with a woodsy theme. It was very welcoming. Our room was easy to locate and the staff that I met along the way were very professional, genuinely nice, and accommodating. The room was a little smaller than I had imagined but was mostly clean and inviting. The bathroom was clean, modern, and very well lit. See below for the only cleanliness issues that I encountered.

The beds, floor and bathroom were clean without any strong odors. However, the desk, TV stand and coffee pot area were dusty with multiple visible fingerprints on the television screen and a large chromed desk lamp. This area obviously had been neglected and needed a deep cleaning.

The front desk associates, the manager, the food and the service and just the total hospitality was outstanding.

I didn’t like that the rooms were super outdated and in need of remodeling, window treatments outdated and not well put together and were coming apart. The mattresses didn’t fit the bed and we kept banging our legs on the edges of the bed. Coming into the building and in the common areas were beautiful. This hotel would be excellent if the rooms were all updated and window treatments were changed out.

The breakfast was very good, but perhaps a bit more expensive than it needed to be. The burgers we ordered from the bar one evening (too tired to go out again) were wonderful! The staff members in both areas were pleasant and efficient! The location of this hotel is excellent. It was easy for us to walk to almost every site we wished to visit! This is a city rich with important history.

I don't remember noticing that we would be charged for parking. This hotel is not inexpensive; the extra $14.00 a night to park in the lot was a charge were unhappy to see on our receipt. I will take blame for being surprised by this. I made reservations on my phone and deleted them once we checked in, so I couldn't look to see if that was a cost that had been listed. Also, I requested a paperless receipt and didn't look at it until we had left the city.

We really enjoyed the friendly staff, Janice and Tonya at the front desk, Blake in the bar area, the chefs on duty and the restaurant staff. They were accommodating and made us feel at home away from home. Also, we did enjoy the delicious cookies.

The cleanliness of the hotel was not excellent. Our room was extremely dusty. Also, the vent in the air conditioner needed to be replaced as the air was musty/stale. If there is a shortage of cleaning staffers, I would suggest you hire a cleaning company to cover such essential duties.

The host/hostess at check-in were exceptionally helpful and patient. They were very friendly while being professional. The cookies were delicious.

I wish it was a little closer to where my event took place. Due to traveling alone, I wasn't able to fully participant in evening activities. The check-out person was so-so.

The place was very nice. They staff was pleasant. Cat went above and beyond to help me with my booking issues.

The room I booked through booking.com was non-existent. There was no record of the confirmation numbers provided. I ended up paying more and having to pay for parking.

Very quiet and clean.

Thought this hotel gave away cookies without requesting. Also couldn’t get a complete receipt for total charges, so I don’t know my total charge until I contact my cc company. Looks like I was charged 4 different amounts.

The room smelled so clean and air was cold—perfect!

Those rugs.I am on a walker and the small ones between the double doors going to the lobby tripped me twice. can’t get around them and they are dangerous.

I made the reservations to attend my 50th yr. Golden Graduation from Alabama State University. The hotel was located minutes away from the University. The Staff was congenial and very courteous. The complimentary cookies were great!!

There were no vending machines on the guest floors.

I am especially grateful to the young woman who checked us in - very embarrassed I can't recall her name, think it started with "M." Due to a slight issue in our original room, she noticed that I am a longtime Hilton Honors member and at no extra charge upgraded me to a suite. Since I was entertaining guests, this was most helpful. She is an important reason that I have been with Hilton for decades. The breakfast hosts and waiters were helpful and informative as we negotiated the significant sites in Montgomery. I hope to return.
