Staybridge Suites Montgomery - Downtown, an IHG Hotel

Staff excellent place spotless girl at reception really really helpful every thing you want and value for money most definitely would recommend this hotel civil rights stuff all close by 10 out of 10 in my opinion

The breakfast was good for a complimentary breakfast. My guest and I wanted some more eggs and was told 45 minutes before breakfast was over that more were being prepared to come out, but they never came out. We were disappointed about they because we felt that we weren't told the truth. The location was great, because it was downtown right in the middle of everything.

I didn't like that hallway walls and room doors look all scuffed up and dirty, but the cleanliness of the rooms made up for that. I didn't like that the gentleman working the night shift at the checkin was very unwelcoming and unpleasant. I had to go down to the checkin counter during the night because I was stuffy and needed to medicine. I asked him if the hotel had anything and just his responses to my answers seemed so cold and like he didn't care to be bothered. When I said "Thank You" and "Goodnight", he said nothing.

Location was great! We were there for the Biscuits Season Opener and it was wonderful to be able to walk to and from the stadium!! Our son loved getting to ride the Byrd scooters around Downtown Montgomery! So FUN! The breakfast and social hour were super delicious! The suite was clean and stocked and staff was so sweet and kind. The pool was lovely and the workout facilities were also great! We truly enjoyed ourselves!

Employees were nice, hotel was clean. The free continental breakfast had a decent variety of items to choose from, Rooms were updated.

I did not like that if we wanted to park in the garage we had to pay an additional $18 for parking. the only other available parking is on the street. There is unprotected metered parking, which is limited spaces but it is free on the weekend. Although, I paid the $18 to park in the garage for my 2 night stay, I still ended up having to park down the street the first night, in a metered spot because there were no available spaces left in the small parking garage. Guests should not be charged to park in the garage and we have already paid to stay at the hotel.

All of the staff I encountered were extremely friendly. The size of the room was great, and it was clean. It did have an odd smell. Not extremely unpleasant, just odd. Like mildewing towels.

Our room was right over one of the exterior lights that shone right up into the room. The blackout curtains did not close all the way, and it left a strip of very bright light coming into the room. There was also no coffee on our last day, and no staff available to refill it.

Perfect location to be able to walk to all of the Civil Rights Museums and landmarks, as well as excellent dining options. The morning breakfast buffet was excellent and fresh and varied. coffe was delicious and always available. the rooms were large and comfortable with a full size fridge! Every employee, from the various front desk workers to the breakfast staff, was super kind and warm and welcoming. Parking was a breeze, and the area felt super safe and clean.

The breakfast was AMAZING! More than what expected. The breakfast isle was hard to find. but I liked everything about this hotel. I'd rate it 5-star! I'd rate it 10 if I could. If I'd come back to Montgomery to stay at a hotel, it would be Staybridge!

The only thing I didn't like was it was missing an outside jacuzzi.

The parking was a problem. They were selling parking to everyone and did not check to see if they had enough spaces. They need to take breakfast off the website because due to covid they only off oatmeal and cereal bars.

The breakfast was a little picked over. The air conditioners in both rooms were loud. The coffee pot had not been cleaned - had to throw out already used coffee pod, plus there were no regular coffee packets, only two decaf ones. And we felt the room was rather expensive. That said, the woman at the front desk who checked us in was very welcoming and efficient and gave us lots of helpful information.

Everything was good. Allowed me to leave my bag as the bus was arriving a few hours after checkout, so I could still explore Montgomery.

I think room 501 is directly under the hotel air-conditioning unit on the roof. First night, the constant humming of the unit was annoying.
