Embassy Suites by Hilton Tuscaloosa Alabama Downtown

My family and I stayed here for a few days and loved it. It exceeded our expectations. Beautiful lobby and rooms. The complimentary breakfast was FABULOUS! The chef and wait staff were really awesome. Lots of nice options for everyone in our family. There was an issue with the Hilton system when we arrived so no one could check-in. There were lots of families waiting to check-in, but Andre (I think that's his name) was OUTSTANDING. The situation could have been terrible, but he calmly took the lead and managed the maintenance and front desks staffs while helping the customers feel at ease. I'm not sure he's a manager, but he should be. He was actually checking people in on sheets of paper without a computer. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here!

Entering the parking lot is a little funky on the side of the building, but we adjusted to it during our stay. The evening reception advertisement looked promising, but the actual reception was just crackers and cheese and sliced cucumbers/squash. We were grateful to have it anyway since most hotels don't do evening receptions.

great property with a fantastic location. right at the end of a cute little shopping and eating area just off campus. we enjoyed the cocktail hour, breakfast and the restaurant for dinner one night. the room was well appointed and plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 teens in our room - 2 queen beds in the bedroom and a pull out sofa and desk/table in the living room with a mini wet bar.

the bathtub leaked a bit and we had to ask for soap but the staff rectified the soap issue right away. we were also disappointed the hot tub was closed. that was supposed to be a highlight of our trip. we had even called and asked about the hot tub - they said yes we have one on our pool deck - but was never told it was closed.

The Embassy staff on 3/21/22 through 3/23/22 were wonderfully professional, courteous, and kind. Special thanks to front desk members LaVonda, Cece, Nick, Chandler, housekeeping member Shameila, and hostess Felise are exceptional team members of the Embassy family. The property is clean and well appointed. Great location and easy to navigate. As a Hilton owner and Honors member, I appreciate receiving the type of exemplary service I've come to expect from the Hilton brand.

The young man cooking the omelet was a different man than who is usually available to serve our group when we come to campus for class. We are nurses in the EdD program at the University of Alabama. He did not cook the vegetables before cooking them with the omelet. He also did not know how to cook egg whites. My other colleague asked for scrambled eggs, and they were horrible.

The property was absolutely beautiful 🥰. However, more than the esthetics, the staff was amazing!!! I was traveling alone cross country with two small children to see family (This was just a stop over) and the staff couldn’t have been sweeter. The “goodie bags” a small but much appreciated touch and the sweet women behind the desk that watched my kids small (but important to them) bags so we Could run the parking tag back to the car. The complimentary afternoon snacks and overall friendly disposition showed me what Southern Hospitality that I’d heard so much about (but had yet to discover driving cross country) was all about. Thanks for making our stay awesome. You never know how appreciated it is - especially from a tired Mom traveling alone. Disappointed the pool was closed but it was covid related and couldn’t be helped.

Breakfast could be more flavorful.It had no taste in grits ( no cheese grits )Also real eggs instead of powdered eggs would be more tasteful.

Our Waitress Lesley (from New York) was awesome, fun and professional. The chef and cook/wait staff far exceeded my expectations. I actually quit using Embassy suites many years ago from poor service in Houston Texas. We typically travel (2) family cross country road trips/year and we always use Marriott Bonvoy or IHG/Hilton Honors or we go to resorts like The Gaylord or Westin hotels. We made a quick last minute detour to see The University of Alabama Roll Tide. Our desire was to take a leisurely road trip back from Georgia Tennessee to Texas. We have a 15 and 17 year old that will be fill time I'm universities soon- my husband looked left as we drove down University Blvd toward the other hotels in the immediate 2 mile radius. And I made a U-turn. Best decision that day. Our reception from the delightful lady at the front desk to our greeting from the Elder Valet (who I called a young man) to our impeccably clean rooms to our swim and breakfast buffet cooks, wait and buss staff /dining experience were all really naturally friendly and professional. And I can assure your corporate offices that I am one picky wife, mom, consumer. At check out I assured the young man at the front desk that we will make sure we stop there every single time we go to/from Georgia to see our eldest children and grand children! Nothing. Truly nothing.

Awesome breakfast. Many options both hot and cold. Very clean. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. Coffee was appreciated and many other drink options to choose from.

No complaints. All positive things to be said about our stay. We will be recommending to all family and friends.

The location was great, close to the university, restaurants, and easy to access. The breakfasts were terrific with cook to order omelets, and many other food and drink choices. The evening reception is a real treat with free bar drinks and light snacks.

The bathroom sink didn’t hold water for shaving.

I was very disappointed because I requested to have my room cleaned and when returned late at nite my room was dirty and I didn’t have any clean towels or soap to shower with. Not how you want to end your day. I noticed that a lot of hotels are cutting back in room cleaning and I’m not please at all with this trend.
