The staff was extremely helpful with providing a wheelchair when we needed it. Also, not only did they extend our checkout time due to a Dr.s appointment we had, but were able to extend it a second time when our appointment ran late. Everyone was kind and patient which can be so important to a patron when they are tired and very stressed.

I booked a handicapped room on first floor or very close to the elevator on any other floors. Room wasn't a handicap room and we were placed on the 7th floor (there WERE elevators) but clear to the other end of the hall. Didn't make too much sense but I DID sleep well.

When I first checked in, they reliquated me to the old and damp portion of the hotel, I think they called it the north tower. The room was run down, cramped, and dark. It also only had one bed, though I'd booked 2 queens. I had to drag all my stuff back to the front desk, where it took awhile to get rebooked into a better room. The next room was a lot better. However, when I checked out, they charged me about $90 more than I was quoted from booking.com. It took a LONG time to get it resolved, but it finally did, and the woman helping me to resolve it at the front desk was really nice about it. It is located downtown, but it's still a bit of a walk to any restaurants or shops. Also, there is a constant stream of tour buses bringing big groups of tourists in every hour or so. If I came back to Fairbanks, I'd probably try to book somewhere else first.

The facilities were nice, we had a great view and it did overall exceed expectations for a 3 star hotel. Our bed was very comfortable and despite not being able to take advantage of the services like complementary breakfast and the on-site restaurant and bar, it was nice that they were offered.

We had a pretty good experience, but the one thing that could have been better is the service. Despite being the only ones in the lobby, we had to wait almost 20 minutes until someone was available to check us in. It seemed like very bare-bones staff, perhaps due to the fact that it was the off season, so I don't have complaints with the staff themselves.

The lobby is very nice. They are doing some construction to the hotel to maybe make the rest of it more updated. The construction did not interfere with our trip or experience of the hotel. The Red Lantern bar/restaurant was good with a great bartender and tasty drinks.

I am not sure what the other wing/tower looked like but our wing was a little old and the room was kind of small with not a lot of walking space between the beds and desk.

Very convenient location downtown with plenty of parking. I enjoyed the hot breakfast which included eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, bread, muffins, cereal, coffee, juice and water. The restaurant and bar had a great bartender and the food was pretty good too! I stopped by one night for a draft beer and watch the game.

The bathroom is dated and the tv had limited channels compared to what the guide indicated was available.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is very good, within walking distance from the historic downtown

Seems the floor carpet in the room is pretty old. The toilet seat is low. There was no vent in the bathroom.

The hotel and room were spotless and spacious, not particularly elegant but extremely functional, easy (but icy) walk to city center, awesome breakfast, ample parking. The room was comfortable, nice view from the 8th floor. Not crowded, but we were there in winter, likely different in the summer.

Bulky pillows. We ate one dinner in the restaurant, the food was average, very limited menu, that might be different in the summer as well. We were there in March, very cold outside, very icy, but equivalent daylight and darkness. Otherwise no complaints. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Breakfast was freshly scrambled eggs, fresh big biscuits, either sausages or the best thick peppered bacon on the planet, individual fruit cups, coffee, tea, milk, cereals, oatmeal packs, toast, jelly and bananas or apples. Staff was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Rooms were clean and comfortable and spacious. We could see the Alaska Range silhouetted by sunrise from our 8th floor room. This hotel is a hub for pickup if purchase tours. Parking was very accessible with plenty of engine heater receptacles. Good Workout room. Good restaurants and museums 10 minute walking distance.

We could wish for a sauna and spa. Fairbanks was minus 25 F at night for the first two nights of our 5 night stay.

The friendly staff, the comfortable beds and the room itself, free parking, the laundry room, the gift store in the lobby, the breakfast, close to city center and the opportunity to dine in the hotel.

the breakfast was great and tasted delicious, but it was almost the same every day. more variety for the breakfast (toast, bagel, creek cheese, jam, yogurts) would be great!

one of the back doors wouldn’t open with the key card. it was clearly a long standing problem but was not informed/ no notification.

cable sucked. it would constantly go out. I was fine not having a lot of channels to pick from but it would freeze or not work all together, a lot.
