Comfort Inn I-17 & I-40 Flagstaff

It’s in the perfect location in flagstaff, not too far away from everything but not right in the heart of town either. Everyone was friendly and helpful, the hotel itself is beautifully decorated and they have a stunning social hall and lobby.

My only complaint has really nothing to do with the hotel itself but really the location of my room. Room 231 is right next to the housekeeping closet for the second floor, and right across from the only elevator in the hotel. Noise at night and during the day was no issue, but in the morning as everyone was getting their day started and had to use the elevator, it got noisy enough to wake me and keep me awake on my first morning. Again, this is all about room location, I had no reason to go to the front desk and gripe about people being loud, it was just the nature of the beast.

Breakfast was good. many options and orderly and clean.

I had a terrible issue with the customer computer, The internet was slow, but worse was the young lady at the desk who said all it needed was a wifi adjustment. That was not the case as we both found out. In that discussion she was extremely negative and talked to me in a condescending tone. I don't take crap from service people and confronted her arrogant and rude tone and words. She didn't like that either and continued a disrespectful attitude. Highly suggest these kind of staff are removed. I have travelled to seven different cities and stayed at 13 different hotels in the past 3 months and never experienced this rudeness.

The room was spacious and included a couch, which was great. The breakfast/lounge area was absolutely wonderful. There was enough space for all the guests to find a place at a table or on a sofa. It felt like a ski lodge. We even came down in the evening with a beverage to just sit and talk.

The area is nice but not walkable, which was okay because it was a short drive to downtown Flagstaff.

The room was very nice and was very clean when I finally checked in. I showed up early around 1:30 and told room not ready yet but would be ready by 3 pm. Went sightseeing and showed up after 3:30 and still could not get in room as it was cleaned but needed to be inspected and would be 20 minutes. I left again to go and eat so when I came back room was available. The breakfast was the same each day, Scrambled eggs, sausage and potatoes as I can not have eggs or sausage I was limited on food.

Put plus and dislike together above. My room was outside ice machine so all night long heard ice falling down

The hotel has a lodge look, the room was decorated nicely and was very clean. The room had comfortable beds, a mini fridge, a microwave, a hairdryer, and an easy-to-use a/c heater. The free full breakfast was good, and the location is close to NAU, downtown, and route 66, with plenty of shopping, restaurants, and bars. The price is right, I will make this the place I stay when visiting. Compared to other hotels/motels I stayed in before in this price range, this hotel was superior.

The pillows, but I always bring my own.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was well appointed, and comfortable. Good breakfast choices. The location was convenient to attractions.

Breakfast choices were good overall. However, some variation on the hot choices of scrambled eggs, sausages, biscuits and gravy would be appreciated on some mornings.

Nice large common-area next to the lobby. Room was clean and comfortable, the mattresses are firm (this may or may not be to your liking). Breakfast was good except for the eggs (no one can ever get the eggs right it seems). Sound proofing is good in the rooms, we had very loud guys in the room opposite the hallway from us. You could clearly hear them while standing in the hallway, but you could not hear them from within our room.

The only thing I didn't like was that the bathroom sink is outside the bathroom. The bathroom is technically a "half bath" with a tub/shower and toilet. The sink is out in the main living area.

The breakfast was a very very nice amenity. It was so nice to be able to just go downstairs and have free coffee and a wide variety of free breakfast choices. Choices included (just to mention a few) eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, waffles, cereal, toast, bagels etc. Another extra was chocolate cookies in the afternoon.!!!!

Maybe better lighting by the bathroom mirror for putting makeup up.

Breakfast was standard Comfort Inn fare, but the nice thing was that there were employees working to keep the breakfast area filled and clean at all times. Check-in was easy. $30 pet fee added on but was expected. All outside grounds were clean with no animal wastes. Accommodated our request for a second floor quiet room. A relatively new property that was in excellent condition. Bed was comfortable. Shower was good.

Air conditioning was somewhat noticeable as it cycled on and off. TV cycled on and off a couple of times.

The location was great and the room was very nice. Staff at the desk were very friendly and helpful. The property gave you a mountain lodge kind of feel and the sitting area was nicely done!

Not the inn's doing, but there was a power outage in the area the next morning and that put a dampener on the breakfast that was included with the room. The power did come back on about an hour plus later, just as we were leaving, so we were able to grab a coffee to go! The breakfast was back on and looked good but we just grabbed a couple muffins & out the door.
