I loved the feel of the hotel. My husband and I love historic towns and staying at St Michael was like stepping back in time, in a good way. The location is excellent, we were able to enjoy the music in the park just by opening the window. There are so many restaurants and shops within walking distance. But the Bistro downstairs was one of our favorites. The staff was so friendly and helpful.

The bathroom felt small for my husband. He’s very tall, but he was more amused at the size than bothered by it.

The staff was fantastic and very friendly and accommodating. This is an historic property, so it is important to keep that in mind. You are trading some of the modern hotel conveniences for the charm and experience. I loved the high ceilings and grand staircases. Ceiling fan and window unit allowed for comfortable sleeping temperature. Comfy bed! The location is perfect - across from the park and on the corner of whiskey row. Visit the shops and the bistro on the main floor. Delicious breakfast and lunch and super friendly service.

Its a bit weird being able to hear other guests through the bathroom ventilation. Again - chalking it up to historic property!

The charming historic building is right in the heart of Whiskey Row. The hotel has a quirky old elevator that is very cool. The staff was so friendly and helpful. There is a restaurant in the building and plenty of great other choices nearby. I had a great view of the town square out my window.

The internet was really substandard. This is 2023, and there isn't an excuse to have internet service below 10mbs. I can't believe that there are providers that actually sell a service with that slow of a download speed. I could not do anything but read email on my device, and even that was painfully slow. The parking garage is very close but be prepared to lug your bags up the street a bit.

The elevator was unique and we read the history of the Motel. We had no false expectations for a historical landmark. I found the staff to be beyond customer service trained. Knowledgeable of the history and so accommodating. We ate at the Bistro and the food was absolutely amazing. There were small shops in the same building and a jewelry fair in the common area. I was right at home. I wish we could have stayed longer. I will def go back!!

Location was awesome! close to shops, walking distance to restaurants, Ambiance nice and calm. Staff super nice and helpful. Rooms clean and bed super comfortable

No breakfast included, coffee at the front desk every morning (had to change to regular clothes (from PJ's)) to get it. Wifi was not super powerful. A coffee maker in the room would be great! Some type of food would be nice too. Better pillows please

I had a really rough week and the staff made this stay so incredibly easy and comfortable. I called about early check in and they were very friendly. I got a text as I was driving down confirming my room was ready an hour before I’d even requested! Janet and Yvonne followed up by text a few times to check on my stay and my check im was so easy and prompt. Kudos to such a professional and kind staff!

Reserved a king room. Room was clean and comfortable. For a historical like hotel it was good but could use some more modern was nice. The on site bistro and bar was a nice option and lots of dinning and entertainment options were available with in walking distance. The staff had some great recommendations for very good dinning options and gluten free restaurants.

The bars/clubs near by had loud music that kept us up later into the night than we would have liked. The bathroom and shower could use some more modern renovations but were very adequate.

The cleaning girl left the window open. The air conditioner never turned off. The person foot laying closer to the a/c got frozen. The cleaning girl knocked on the door and immediately came in asking if she left an air freshener spray can in the room while we were laying on the bed. We never got the chance to answer and the door was opened. The bed mattress pad didn't stray on. We got up twice to put the mattress padding back on the bed. The third time we just left it. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were very hard.

Teach your cleaning crew to wait when they knock on the door before they open the door. Buy bigger mattress padding that have extra room for your big mattress. I am very picky about pillows, I should have brought my own.

This historic hotel has the vibe we wanted - modern enough to be comfortable and historic enough to make us wonder about all who has slept in our room for many years before we arrived. Our room was in a great location, too - we could see the courthouse!

Some of the earlier reviews mentioned the included breakfast, but breakfast is no longer included. It would have been good to have known that before arriving.

For a hotel built in 1901, it was exactly what I expected. It had an old time elevator built in 1924, unique. Room and bathroom were small but clean, bed was very comfortable. Conveniently located for the Courthouse Plaza and Whiskey Row.

No coffee maker (it was served for free in the lobby). No frills. Ear plugs were given out for noise (I didn’t encounter any noise problems).
