University Inn ASU/Tempe

The Front Desk staff were super friendly and provided great recommendations for local restaurants and attractions. We were in town for Ironman Arizona and the location was perfect as it was a short walk from everything we needed (restaurants, bars, Whole Foods, movie theater, and Athlete Village at Tempe Town Lake). The parking was convenient and safe, and the mini fridge in the room was great to have for storing leftovers and snacks.

Nothing, this place was perfect. What I didn't like was swimming in the Tempe Town Lake. 57 degrees is too cold for this girl and, alas, I developed hypothermia by the end of my ironman swim. That reminds me, the shower in the room was super and did a great job thawing my frozen body.

Very clean and modern. Close to restaurants and to ASU, the main reason for being there.

Don't let the outside fool you. This is a nice place. The rooms have modern decor and fixtures. The California king bed was super comfy. Room and linens were clean. Location was perfect. Walking distance to Mill Ave. restaurants and bars. Price was much better than other places nearby. Staff was friendly and courteous.

The only thing I could say negative about our stay is that the room we got was upstairs adjacent to the road (Mill Ave.) The car traffic was a little noisy with the college kids out having fun on a Friday night, but that's not really anything the facility can be blamed for.

Best place EVER! The location is perfect, and the staff treat you like family. This is our go to when staying in Tempe. Walking distance to University, food and drinks. The rooms are always clean and comfortable, and we will continue to stay here when visiting Tempe. THANK YOU UNIVERSITY INNS & SUITES FOR ANOTHER GREAT STAY!

THERE IS NOTHING TO DISLIKE ABOUT THIS PLACE!

The location was perfect for going to the Gammage Theater! The inn is within a couple of blocks of the theater and took us less then 10 minutes to walk there. We were warmly greeted upon our arrival by Michelle and felt very welcome during our stay! There are many restaurants and shops within walking distance of University Inn and that was a definite plus for us!

It would have been nice to have had a microwave in the room.

Sindoor and her staff were so friendly and helpful! The housekeeping team were pleasant and professional. The bed was extremely comfortable; the shower was like standing in the rain; quick walk to ASU campus, bars, restaurants, shops and 24 hr CVS.

I don't mind traffic and construction noises - it's a college town and the hotel is located on the "bar strip". If you need/prefer quiet, go elsewhere.

The location of the University Inn was excellent. I was in Tempe for my graduation from ASU and the central location allowed me to walk wherever I needed to go and not have to worry about finding parking. Also, Michelle, one of the front office staff was an absolute treat to meet. She was friendly and kind and made us feel like we were family throughout the visit.

I consider this only a minor complaint; the bathroom doors are a little small. The doorway is plenty spacious to navigate in and out of, but the sliding doors themselves leave gaps on the side where other guests in your room can see into the restroom while it is occupied.

The location was great. Pharmacy within walking distant and only a 5 min drive to our daughters dorm room.

There were no electrical outlets near the bed to charge phones, electronics, etc… The bathroom vanity didn’t have enough counter space because the sink was sitting on top of it.

Overall, this was what I expected. It's a motel and is remeniscent of the older Travelodge. Lots of food and activities nearby. The staff was amazing. I had great conversations with the staff about the area and am looking forward to coming again.

Noisy. It is especially noisy at night. For some reason, people like to speed near the hotel. Motorcycles and cars were making loud noises at night. One night, they were having a party upstairs. Was still able to fall asleep.

The room was very clean, modern, has all amenities that I needed. And also close to everything (shops, grocery, restaurants...) you name it. Staff were very kind and thoughtful.

Street noises are crazy especially at night. Just bring your ear plugs with ya.
