OC Hotel

There is so many things that made our stay great. The first person we saw when checking in was Nimi. She was such a breath of fresh air! We were there for a soccer tournament and unexpectedly had to change hotels due to a horrible experience. We booked that morning and checked in after a day out at games. All the staff we encountered were kind and courteous. It was nice and thoughtful that they even had ice bags available for our little players each day since the ice machine was broken. The pool was very tidy and clean at all times. This is a very nice place and we will absolutely be staying here again next time we visit.

This hotel was such a pleasant surprise. We booked it out of an emergency the same day we arrived to LA, and we were expecting the usual shabby road motel kind of place. Nope, we were wrong, luckily! The lady at the front desk was nice and helpful, the check-in was done quickly. Our room was big and clean. It didn't have a smelly carpet and a musty smell. The bed and bedding was comfortable. The place is quiet, not the regular rumbustious characters. It seems very family oriented.

The ladies that cleaned the place were extremely loud and harsh. We were having breakfast (because you even get free breakfast with the room ❤️) and they came to pick up the setting. 3 ladies were making more noise than all the other guests together. They were talking on the phone and being extremely rude. Then they came to the front desk lady and gave her some attitude. They really spoiled our moment. I'm sure they are nice but someone needs to tell them to be respectful of the people around. This is the only reason I didn't give "wonderful" to this hotel.

Free Continental Breakfast was good. Nothing fancy just a grab and go.. but lots of choices at least. The coffee machine made fancy drinks. There was a pool and jacuzzi. TV had youtube and Netflix etc options. Bed was comfy and clean. No bugs in the room. There was a comfy chair to relax in and a desk with desk chair. The decor was pretty. It had a microwave and refrigerator that worked well. We made chocolate covered strawberries in the room. Outlets were in a good location. Lighting in the room was good. There was an ice maker and a luggage cart to use. Water pressure in shower was good and had a rainfall shower head. Room was spacious. Only a 15 minute drive in traffic to Newport pier. We went 5 minutes down the street to El Matador restaurant and the food and service was Amazing. Free parking and free WiFi.

No couch in room. Jacuzzi could have been hotter it was more like bath water temp. Pool was not heated so because it was cold out we couldn't swim in it. There was some mold in the shower ceiling.

Check-in was smooth, even with my late arrival. I liked the coffee machine. The breakfast was just OK, mostly processed foods. There was fresh fruit. They had Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches but I wished they had plain boiled eggs.

The office chair in my room 224, is broken. The shower is missing the inside handle to slide the door. The shower head needs cleaning because the nozzle tips all don't spray straight down.

The location was just perfect. Close to a lot of places to go around.

Well…. The room that they assigned to us was a bit disappointed because or the end of the bed was another door that goes to the next room, even though it was closed and has a chair in front of it made it little easier to deal with, but every time the people next room will go out when the close the door felt as if they wanted to open the door but they weren’t. So that was kind of a bummer.

Location to SNA and OC points of interest is great. Clean and well staffed. Nice pool and hot tub.

Towels are among the worst I’ve ever seen at a hotel like this. You’d expect old, worn, stained, and hyper-thin towels at a truck stop. Likewise, the hand soap crumbles and disintegrates almost the instant you get it wet. Why have such a nice hotel with the absolute worst in towels and hand soap? Heck, spend a couple more bucks and make the hotel a truly nice place all the way around.

Kind, friendly & professional staff. Big comfortable room. A great breakfast layout with a cool modern coffee/latte/Espresso machine. Will definitely recommend to Family and friends.

This has nothing to do with the hotel, but, unfortunately, I have a closet stalker who chooses to follow me and try to intimidate and wreack havic kn me. He found me there, but, he didn't completely take away my light. The devil never wins, not with me anyways.

The place was exceptional. The only issue I had was the room phones didn't work. We called to extend our stay to a late check out ('12 noon) and they called me at 11:30 to ask if I was checking out. Everything was great. Absolutely LOVED the last that checked us in. She was super nice. The place was awesome. Loved the pool. So peaceful and relaxing.

Older hotel but all updated! Literally the moment we walked in the smell of CLEAN!!! Clean and updated, very cute! Staff was wonderful, complimentary breakfast in the morning was great 👍🏼 location was awesome! Went to the fair Saturday 1 minute away, then Newport beach Sunday was only like a 10 minute drive. We will be staying again, cannot wait. You won't be disappointed.

Pillows were funky, too large not very comfortable. Towels were small and thin. Next time I will just bring my own ☺️

I have stayed here on 3 separate occasions now. Each time it has been amazing. I wouldn’t even take a chance on staying anywhere else. It’s clean, nicely renovated, has a pool and hot tub. Everywhere is kept clean. Beds are comfortable. The staff are very kind and accommodating. Everything considered this is no doubt the best price/deal around.
