Everything was great! Checkin was fast and easy. Staff was friendly. We stayed in Bungalow K & it was beyond our needs. I wish I would have e known there was a juccuzi tub in the master bedroom, I'd have brought my bath bombs & bubble bath! Furnishings were up to date, and beds were clean and comfortable. Definitely renting again!

Honestly, everything was fabulous , but I would recommend bath & bodyworks wallflowers throughout or something for aromatics like cinnamon or pine. Upon entry I did smell old house smell. I just happened to have a b&b candle and it took tht away real quick. But other than that it was perfect.

The quiet setting off the Highway was lovely and I liked the old-school lodge vibe. I stayed in a cottage and it was super easy to unload car, as parking is directly in front of the cabin. Loved the full-size frig and well supplied kitchen. Also great location from which to explore the National forest.

It was a little tricky finding the office, and in the cabin, plugs for electronics near the bed would be great. There is no AC and it was a bit tricky to cool off the cabin at night with the fan if one cared about people seeing in windows after dark.

We just loved the location the cabin and the fact we had our own little house for the night with a comfortable couch and private bedroom and nice shower the floor was a little I wouldn't say unstable in the bathroom but creaky lol but it was amazing there was a kitchen a fireplace and the owners hospitality was amazing

Wasn't really much to complain about we found a little spider friend lol but we handled him😂 oh yeah just the driveway entrance at night was kinda hard to see between the trees other than that it was awesome.

Alicia in the staff is awesome. She is always a phone call away to help. The kids love the ice rink on the premise. The most convenient motel for a quick weekend visit to Dodge ridge. Please note that we go up there to enjoy snow, so don’t pay much attention to other stuff (others might!)

No Microwave in the room. But you can got to the office and use one.

I loved the casual grounds with a pool and skating rink, looked both charming and lovely. The staff was friendly and attentive. We stayed at the end of winter and the snow was pretty, I bet the pool in the summer would be great. Also, if you have an electric car, charge up well before heading up... it's about a 1 1/2 to the closest supercharger.

The bed was hard and the heater made loud noises at night so the sleep wasn't great. The bathroom was barebones and dated. The builder's grade aluminum framed standing shower stall that was painted to make it look fresh, but it was a small and cramped wash.

Came with everything we needed for our vacation, good size room for my family of 4. Came with everything you need to eat and cook with in their kitchen.

Water pressure was really low in the shower, heater in bathroom did not work, bed was really hard and uncomfortable, no smart tv or dvd player. When we wanted to relax in the evening and watch a movie there were very minimal channels available for basic cable.

We had a wonderful one-night stay at the Long Barn Lodge. It is a charming resort that includes a building with motel style rooms (exterior hallways) on two stories plus several cottages and a full-sized pool. We stayed at the Superior Chalet cottage that featured two queen beds, a sofa bed, a full kitchen with a full sized refrigerator, a four burner stove and oven, two TVs, air conditioning unit, and a gas fireplace. Outside was a cozy porch with seating and a deluxe propane barbecue grill. The Superior Chalet is ideal for a family of 4. It is set back from the road and very quiet. The smaller cottages are across the way, in a row, which is fine if you have quiet neighbors. The next door Bungalow is basically a 2-story house suitable for a large family. What was unique about the motel rooms was that the first floor rooms had two doors, one in front, facing the pool, and the other out back, opening directly into the parking lot which would be incredibly convenient for families with young children who are basically moving their household in. In a very unique feature, some of the motel rooms are connected to upstairs units by interior stairs, with a queen bed below for the parents and bunk beds upstairs for the kids. We chatted with the new management, an inspiring young couple who took over last year and are making many improvements to the property. Some of the fixtures and appliances are dated, but the new management is definitely sprucing things up! They explained some of the history and said that they will be celebrating the property’s centennial in 2025! The Lodge is open year round and the area’s only skating rink will open at the end of November. Highly recommend staying here with a family, especially you kids, hosting a family reunion here, or just enjoying the area with friends. My suggestion is to market the property as the Long Barn Lodge and Cottages. The cottages make the stay extra special!

Lodge is located by the road, just a short drive to Dodge Ridge Ski Resort. I checked in late evening and my key/room were ready for me. Heater was turned on well before our arrival for a very warm welcome into the room. I needed some extra gadgets, such as glasses and wine opener, which were promptly delivered to my room. Sink is separated from shower/toilet.

Room is a bit worn. We had trouble using the keys on front door and shower door was not working well either. Mattress a bit too soft for me, but my daughter liked it just fine.

Beautiful location, friendly staff and loved the uniqueness of the bungalow. Very cozy experience.

Unfortunately the shower was almost impossible to use. Water pressure sprinkled, had to refill a big cup I brought from home with water to wash off. No boardgames were available like the description mentioned. And hair dryer was broken. Never got to use.

Fully stocked kitchen, beautiful location. Fit 8 perfectly. Went for my disabled moms 70th birthday. Family from Texas were in absolute astonishment. We are booking again in February. The staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable.

The mattresses to sofa beds were not very comfortable. Tip to sleep on those, use the large fluffy pink pillows to sleep at an incline to avoid the bars.
