Groveland is awesome, staff was friendly. On-site bar and restaurant was closed due to staffing issues but front desk staff directed us to local eats within a block. Quite a drive from the valley floor but we loved its proximity to Columbia State Park, Rush Creek Spa, and Crane Flat sledding area.

The central heat was very inconsistent (stayed in January) but they had a good space heater in the room for when it felt cold. Then, the central heat was cranking and at times the room got too hot but we closed the vent. Management should upgrade to splits or have thermostat sensors in rooms.

This location was great! On our first day driving through Yosemite to the property I thought maybe it was a bit far, but after the 2nd day seeing how busy it got in the park, Groveland was the perfect retreat! For a historic building, it’s been kept up nicely and updated. We were lucky enough to get to eat dinner at the hotel one night and the food had a great presentation and was absolutely delicious! We highly enjoyed the back courtyard, that was one of the coolest features and I’ve never stayed at another hotel that offered this experience. This place has a ton of character and charm, we’d for sure stay again!

The bedroom layout was a bit tight, but doable. Again, being a historic property, it is understandable and something we got used to.

The bed was extremely comfortable, so much so that my sister and I were trying to determine the manufacturer of the mattress. The hotel owner carried my bag upstairs for me. He is an extremely hands-on owner, and he even tended bar for a while during the first night of our stay. Upon check-in we received a courtesy credit for one drink, which I thought was a nice touch. The two nights we spent at this hotel were the best of the entire trip.

There's nothing I can think of that I didn't like except the tri-tip steak we had for dinner one night was a little dry. The hotel itself was wonderful and I would definitely stay there again.

Lovely staff! The AC in our room was a bit loud and could not be turned off. Staff immediately came up with us to check if they could turn it off and when that was impossible (it was Sunday and technician couldn't come) we were given another room. Lovely hotel with a nice atmosphere and great location if visiting Yosemite. Also has a nice bar and restaurant and even complimentary welcome drinks on first night! Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

AC was too loud and couldn't be turned off, but as described we were given another room so no complaints.

Rooms a little on the small side. Food and drink in restaurant seemed expensive, we didn’t eat there as a result but good other options around

Good location in Groveland. Really enjoyed the outdoor patio and live music. Nice room decor and A/C worked great! It was very hot outside.

Didn’t like all the add on charges…credit card surcharge, energy surcharge and the room was overpriced. I tried to make the reservation through the Groveland hotel website but it wasn’t working properly so I had to go through Booking.com. No shower gel.

The dinner at the restaurant is unbelievably good! The location is perfect. The staff was the best there.

The only thing really bad is the price they charge for pets.. They sent a message to notify the hotel if we want to bring pets because not all the rooms are pet friendly. The request from the hotel is to pay $75 and if you choose to stay in a non-pet room, there will be an additional cleaning fee of $100 per night. Imagine paying that when your stay is $135.

Location is really good. Staff was kind and helpful even if it's after hour. There's many beer tap on the bar that all guest has complimentary 2 pint per room. Facility is completed and room clean.

Water on shower turn red. We need to run water for ac while until it is cleared.

Good location, fairly close to Yosemite (40 min or so), however the groveland town is very charming itself. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the room was very clean and full of character. The food served at dinner was amazing and the breakfast place next door didn’t disappoint.

The staff here were wonderfully friendly and accommodating! They answered all of our questions and ensured we had a comfortable stay.

It would be great if the hotel offered breakfast, though they do have a small convenience area and there are a few cafes open nearby.
