Rhonda is probably the warmest and kindest host we could have ever met. The house is happily situated at the top of a hill. The room is super comfortable and the house is with details of early 20s. We've encountered 3 cats, all curious or tolerating (with our kid around and poking). The breakfast is superb, and Rhonda's coffee is perfect for the morning. We enjoyed our stay very much. We certainly hope we'd come to Sonora and visit Knowles Inn again soon.

Stayed 5 nites. Comfortable bed, room. Vintage bath with updates. Quiet - absolutely no noise from guests, staff or neighborhood was heard in our room. Friendly and competent staff. Interesting interior decor appropriate to era and home's specific history. Excellent formal breakfast - best ever. Common rooms and covered porch were pleasant to look at and comfortable. Had several early morning quick breakfasts on the porch. House / mansion setting is in a prominent setting at the top of hill overlooking mainstreet. Approach to home is dramatic, exterior in excellent shape. Mature plantings. Nice arrival experience, drive up to property, gate procedure, easy and plenty of parking, directions to front and especially the staff greeting. All directions spelled out simply and completely for tired travelers to successfully negotiate. Staff put out nice cold breakfast on mornings we left for Yosemite before scheduled breakfast. 9:15 AM breakfast time is designed for a leisurely mornings maximizing time in this enjoyable setting.

The landscaping is being renewed on one side. Majority of grounds in very good condition. Nice plantings including many rosebeds which were in bloom, nice lawn and trees. On northeast side a major landscaping upgrade is on going to add a very spacious tiered patio area which will be impressive when complete. The workmen were out of the way but naturally there was some construction material, tools and equipment around. Was not bothered by any construction noise.

Where do we start? The home inside and out was exquisite! Beautiful landscaping, decorations inside were amazing and the breakfast was more than delicious!!! Rhonda took some time explaining about the house which was extremely interesting! We will definitely be returning!!

The place is beautiful down to every detail. Our room was charming, clean, and comfortable. The food is absolutely amazing! The owner/staff are so friendly and welcoming. You can tell Rhonda loves this Inn and pours her heart into it! We will definitely be back in the future.

The breakfast was lovely. It was special and comfortable. The history of the home is everywhere and maintained with the best of care. Rhonda and Fred made us feel welcome in their “home”. The view of town, garden and critters is amazing.

Fabulous surroundings with gardens and friendly pets of all kinds to greet you outdoors. The interior was very clean and full of beautiful period antiques from 1900’s to 1920’s. Our room was exceptionally clean and with quality towels and linens. The Inn presentation wasn’t overdone and all furnishings were tastefully placed to make it feel like you were at home. For the breakfast, all I can say is wonderful and 5 star quality for my tastes. Loved it all and plan to return 🌹

I didn’t have any dislikes about the property. It was very comfortable.

The property's history was intriguing (would have liked to have learned more). The food was outstanding - likely Sonora's best! Loved the historical interior décor and will come back when the exterior renovation & painting is complete. Rhonda and Megan are so immediately warming you feel like family rather than a quest. Loved the place & will be back!

Would have liked the room temp to be a bit cooler, i.e., adjustable via the thermostat.

The home and grounds were beautiful. The Inn was built in 1927 and has character charm. Our room was beautifully furnished and felt luxurious. Our breakfast was incredibly delicious and so beautifully served. Rhonda was a fabulous host and has a real love for her Inn.

The B&B was built in 1927 and is a living museum without all the cutesy memorabilia. It was beautifully decorated with Fall decor and I'd love to return to see what the owners do with their winter theme. The hosts were incredibly friendly and the breakfast was one of the best we've ever experienced a a B&B. We had a beautiful view of the front yard.

We didn't have a lot of hot water for the shower.

The breakfast was divine. The gardens and grounds were beautiful and fun to wander around, and the outside kitties were delightful!

A bit on the pricy side, but breakfast made up for that.
