Reviews were mixed, so we were a little nervous, but we enjoyed our stay. Comfortable beds, nice clean rooms, fire pit with s’mores was fun; we didn’t use pool or pickleball courts, but those looked fun. Good A/C. Water coolers by ice machines with hot and cold water a nice feature. Lots of parking available. Maids were very friendly and helpful.

The bottom sheets are flat sheets that barely cover the top of the mattress (they only hang over about an inch at the head and foot, but are tucked in on the sides), which means if you shift around much at night you’ll be touching the mattress underneath; gross. Website indicates parking is included in resort fee, but they charged us $20/day. Frosted glass barn door for bathroom means less privacy than we preferred.

The hotel is built right next to a golf course and split into several separate buildings/blocks. Rooms were good and the bathrooms were of a good standard/size. Lots of things to entertain you/children in the hotel grounds if you want a lazy day at the hotel. The pools were nothing special but were adequate for our needs. A very nice environment for breakfast overlooking the golf course. We stayed for 7 nights and had no difficulty getting a table for breakfast and it was a fairly calm environment. Breakfast had a good choice and was of a good quality. Lots of things to do within a relatively short drive. The Monterey Aquarium was particularly good.

Although we had flagged that we had younger children and so wanted our rooms to be together, initially we were going to be given rooms on separate floors. However this was rectified following a wait of about 2 hours. The hotel carpark was much busier on Friday and Saturday nights.

Check-in staff was amazing. We booked a pool view room, but the pool location was closed for a private event. Staff was able to change our room. Room was clean and smelled amazing. Breakfast buffet had great options for the family. The pool that was opened was clean. Lawn games were great for the family.

The pool was not maintained with clean towels. Trash overflowing. There wasn't enough seating to accommodate the number of people. May not have booked here if i had known that a private party had reserved so much of the resort. Parking at night was horrible. Had to park in front of the convention center and walk.

Room was clean and comfortable. Pool and jacuzzi were clean and enjoyable. I liked breakfast, everything was fresh. Hotel was located in a nice side of the city.

There was a lady in the front desk who introduced herself as a manager (unfortunately I don't remember her name) and when I tried to extend my visit for one more night she didn't let another guy do it. They didn't even try to check availability. Next morning I could extend my visit with another staff. I believe she didn't like my accent as I was from another country.

The coffee didn’t have flavor options

Ordered a salted caramel latte and the attendant said “We are not Starbucks”. Wow….a little rude.

Great facilities e.g. pool, gym, restaurant, cafe, play area for kids. When you walk in it makes you feel you are at somewhere special. We played golf so adjacent to Del Monte course was very handy and part of the reason staying here.

There were many added on fees and taxes that we were not aware of when we booked, resort fee of $29 plus 12% tax for the benefit of using pool/gym/valet/golf pro shop (cannot opt out) which you would think is included in the room rate. In addition the occupancy tax 12%, county fees and tax etc…all adding $110+ each night so just to be aware, although this is not exclusive to this hotel and seem to vary where you stay in the state/county.

My husband and I stayed here during our honeymoon road trip around California and it was the perfect place to unwind and indulge ourselves for a few days. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the facilities were top notch. We particularly loved the outdoor terrace with its fire pits and relaxed seating, perfect for some late afternoon/early evening drinks. There’s also several pools on site which we sadly didn’t have the time to properly enjoy as we had so many other touristy activities planned in around Monterey. However, they looked fantastic from what we saw. We enjoyed a brilliant meal at the hotel’s restaurant on our first evening and our server was so lovely. When he found out we were on our honeymoon he brought over two glasses of champagne, some drinks vouchers and also deducted our dessert from our final bill. Such a lovely gesture, just wish we could remember his name as he was fantastic! My husband also played a round of golf at the hotel’s on-site golf course which was stunning. There’s a twilight deal which includes green fees and golf cart rental for a very reasonable price.

The only slight downside is there isn’t too much nearby to the hotel in terms of other bars or restaurants. Not an issue if, like us, you enjoy a bit of a walk! Ubers are also readily available and can drop you into downtown for a pretty cheap fare. We walked to Downtown one evening and it took us maybe 20 minutes so it really wasn’t something that impacted our stay.

Lovely location. Close to everything but quiet location. Room was very clean. Nice open bar/dining area. Have stayed here before when in Monterey/would stay again.

Disappointing dinner menu. Very limited. My son/husband ordered $20. hamburgers. Said hamburger 🍔 buns were COLD/expensive/not worth the $. Had Burger King on drive to Monterey/better price and better hamburger. I was disappointed with $14. glass of champagne/no bubbles/poured into a wine glass. Will stay at hotel again but eat elsewhere. Spent almost $200 for a terrible meal.

You feel close to nature, despite being very close to the main dual-carriageway freeway. Lovely views over the golf course. I liked the choice of shower gel, shampoo etc. products. One of the best fitness centres I've seen in a hotel in a long time. Good commitment to sustainability by having communal water dispensers rather than producing plastic water bottles.

The windows had been left open so when we came in the room was cold. The reception area wasn't very cosy.

Great location, quiet and spaced perfectly for local adventures. Staff was best staff I've experienced in a hotel super friendly and made our stay amazing. The Buffet Breakfast was awesome and the juicing machine was a hit for the kids. The pool and games were also perfect for the kids. Also located within minutes from Monterey Wharf, Carmel, 17 mile drive, and Big Sur, so many fun things to do for all! Definitely will stay here again in the future.

Would ask for a middle room as the ends are located close to the outside door which sometimes make noise anytime when opened and closed.
