The coffee didn’t have flavor options

Ordered a salted caramel latte and the attendant said “We are not Starbucks”. Wow….a little rude.

Great facilities e.g. pool, gym, restaurant, cafe, play area for kids. When you walk in it makes you feel you are at somewhere special. We played golf so adjacent to Del Monte course was very handy and part of the reason staying here.

There were many added on fees and taxes that we were not aware of when we booked, resort fee of $29 plus 12% tax for the benefit of using pool/gym/valet/golf pro shop (cannot opt out) which you would think is included in the room rate. In addition the occupancy tax 12%, county fees and tax etc…all adding $110+ each night so just to be aware, although this is not exclusive to this hotel and seem to vary where you stay in the state/county.

My husband and I stayed here during our honeymoon road trip around California and it was the perfect place to unwind and indulge ourselves for a few days. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the facilities were top notch. We particularly loved the outdoor terrace with its fire pits and relaxed seating, perfect for some late afternoon/early evening drinks. There’s also several pools on site which we sadly didn’t have the time to properly enjoy as we had so many other touristy activities planned in around Monterey. However, they looked fantastic from what we saw. We enjoyed a brilliant meal at the hotel’s restaurant on our first evening and our server was so lovely. When he found out we were on our honeymoon he brought over two glasses of champagne, some drinks vouchers and also deducted our dessert from our final bill. Such a lovely gesture, just wish we could remember his name as he was fantastic! My husband also played a round of golf at the hotel’s on-site golf course which was stunning. There’s a twilight deal which includes green fees and golf cart rental for a very reasonable price.

The only slight downside is there isn’t too much nearby to the hotel in terms of other bars or restaurants. Not an issue if, like us, you enjoy a bit of a walk! Ubers are also readily available and can drop you into downtown for a pretty cheap fare. We walked to Downtown one evening and it took us maybe 20 minutes so it really wasn’t something that impacted our stay.

Great location, quiet and spaced perfectly for local adventures. Staff was best staff I've experienced in a hotel super friendly and made our stay amazing. The Buffet Breakfast was awesome and the juicing machine was a hit for the kids. The pool and games were also perfect for the kids. Also located within minutes from Monterey Wharf, Carmel, 17 mile drive, and Big Sur, so many fun things to do for all! Definitely will stay here again in the future.

Would ask for a middle room as the ends are located close to the outside door which sometimes make noise anytime when opened and closed.

the grounds were pretty but I noticed the same trash on the ground during my three day stay. Maybe the staff was busy dealing with flooding, it was really raining when I was there.(?) The lobby was nice and airy with the skylight roof and bar tje atmosphere was fun we played cards and there were a lot of people in the lobby it was a good time. The staff were super, greeter at the door and opened the door for us to wish us a good day. By the ice machine there was a water dispenser- filtered water and it was delicious. I really appreciated that. We got the upgraded room and it overlooked the golf course no balcony but that was ok. I appreciated the staff member giving me options when I checked in she was very nice.

The beds were super hard. The softest pillow was the one I brought from home. I booked through booking.com and like the comments had stated the patio wasn’t on the golf course it would’ve been on the parking lot. I paid $50 more a day to go to a 3rd floor room #860 building H and we had to walk through two buildings to get to the elevator.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The bar and sit down lobby area was so much fun. We didn’t get a chance to try out the restaurant but we did check out some of the dishes and it looked so yummy! I loved that the gym had Peloton bikes- so cool! The breakfast cafe was good and so convenient. I can’t remember the bartenders name but he was a younger Mexican guy from San Fran. He was great!

It was tricky getting to our room from the parking lot.

They remodeled it and it’s very nice. They offered fun amenities for kids and the pools were very nice too.

I booked a ground floor room with a patio facing the golf course and we got a room facing the parking lot- not sure if Booking.com misled that or the Hyatt switched us out, especially when I paid all upfront with no cancellations- thought that was shady. Also the shower that we had in our room was very dangerous for our Toddler, we have always had bathtub showers while staying here and all that we had was a stand up shower with very slippery tiles and no glass door. it was very awkward and my Toddler slipped and fell so we weren’t happy about that.

My husband left the golf rangefinder in hotel room. It was very expensive and we needed it every day when we played golf. When we went to the golf course and found that it was missing, we immediately called the hotel, hoping that the hotel could help us find it, but it was not found even once our stay was over. We suspect cleaner took it and didn't turn it in - we clearly remember that morning when it was on the table, charging. We left and forgot to take it with us. It made us very unhappy later on. This is very disappointing and regrettable.

I think hotels should pay attention to guests' requests and take the initiative to contact us instead of waiting for us to call.

My room was beautifully appointed and the grounds were pristine. They had a special gift for my dog that had a bowl and some treats and a blanket . They are truly dog friendly; I was allowed to bring him even into the dining area and they also had outdoor seating for dining if I chose that. The breakfast which was free when I booked, was excellent. The staff in the dining area was so friendly.

Booking.com did not state that there would be a rather large fee for my dog. I was not aware until I checked in.

The room lacked glass ware for wine. The bath soaps, extras need an upgrade. Not sufficient small washcloth towels. Location of coffee maker/extra (Plastic cups) was disappointing. Room was clean and otherwise great.

We all know that Covid-19 is a problem. But when you take a day or two for a break vacation, you like all the extra's at the resort/spa. The dining area seemed to be understaffed. Our waitress was excellent and well deserved 20% tip. As a Chef with years of experience. Someone should look at the menu and include better options for the evening meals. 5 STAR Review Risotto, small shrimp plater, bread plate. Beyond words for excellence in flavor.
