Nice rooms, very clean and well maintained. location is just outside of the city center in a residential area at a 5-15 min walk to the park (Dennis the Menace playground!), beach and the warf. The hotel has a nice outdoor seating area with a big table in case you want to bring a picnic or eat your (own) breakfast.

They had not resumed breakfast because of COVID-19, and I would have appreciated if they had a few items to take to go, even if it was just a granola bar or some fruit.

I came in a lot earlier than 4 p.m. which is check in time, but after talking with the clerks the guy checked my room and it was ready! I was so happy. The room was right next to the stairs which I thought...eeehh....but I can't believe I am saying this about the room, it was the quietest motel I have ever stayed in. In fact it is quieter than my apartment, which seems to have bowling balls dropping for hours each night. There was a small patio outside with chairs, table and pop machine in a small room off of it. I ate dinner outside that first night. I really loved this motel. It was clean, and the bed was comfortable. They had a frig and micorwave next to a closet. That was a surprise, I went and bought some groceries to help save with the food buying.

The hotel is right off the Highway 1 exit. So anyone coming South the road has an exit and a VERY sharp turn onto 10th Street which includes people trying to turn to get into the lane to get on the highway. I recommend not taking 10th street but going one street up to 8th Street, turning right and then another right and coming that way. That exit is begging for a major accident.

Cozy, friendly little Lodge Hotel, quiet and a good location to visit Monterey, the 17-mile-drive and Big Sur. I felt like Nancy Drew staying here. It has a lovely courtyard with parking directly by the rooms and a kids-friendly pool which looked very nice. Everything can be reached in a few minutes by car. The rooms are very nice and clean, there‘s everything you need. They even have names. You can see that this hotel is well-kept with love and a personal note. Ron, our host, was very kind and gave us great advice about how to spend our visit in beautiful Monterey. Can definitely recommend it and will be happy to stay here again!

Nothing, everything was great. Maybe a table and some chairs to sit outside would be nice, as well. Breakfast was available in town.

Christian checked us in. He was very friendly and said if we needed ANYTHING, to call the front desk and he would be happy to help. In the morning, someone new was at the front desk. Unfortunately I didn't get his name, but he was also very pleasant and helpful. We asked him for a recommendation for breakfast and he gave us a map of the area and also a few suggestions. I have nothing but good things to say about the staff.

The location was a bit further away from the downtown area than we thought, but we could still walk to the tourist area. Other than that, no complaints at all.

Rooms were spacious and nicely decorated, beds comfortable. the room had heating and I really liked the location. 10 minutes walk / 2 minutes drive from there is a very cute playground - Dennis the Menace - which the kids loved.

When the upper floor neighbors walked or moved things it was well heard. Also, we had two rooms, and unfortunately they were not adjacent and to walk between them meant being outside as there's no indoor hallway. it was a bit uncomfortable due to the evening/morning chills, but we pulled through

Clean and comfortable bedroom and bathroom. Good shower. Very friendly and helpful staff. Fixed issue with coffee machine immediately. Gave us really up to date and useful guidance on issues with Highway 1 accessibility. Also lots of local info on bars, restaurants, shopping etc. Plenty of free parking. Free wifi. Safe in room. Easy to access off main roads

Not within easy walking distance of restaurants, bars (about a mile). Poor sound insulation. Could hear person snoring in next door room!

large and very clean, comfortable rooms, immaculate bathrooms, good quality bedding and towels, lots of extras, shampoo, lotion, conditioner. fridge, hairdryer, iron. Best of all is the manager, he goes out of his way to ensure guests are comfortable and have everything they need, and more. it’s so good here we have cancelled our next hotel and booked to stay here an extra week.

ok, this did not bother me, but it may be an issue with others. There is no room service, you get clean towels and bed linen on arrival but nobody comes in to clean until you leave. However, you can request clean linens at any time, and it’s easy to just empty your own bins. I would rather keep my room tidy myself than have anyone move my stuff.

We could check In 1 hour earlier which was very kind. the Location was good and there were enough parking possibilities in front of the rooms.

The lodge has more a motel character because the parking lots are directly in front of the rooms. The pool is located on the parking area as well. The fotos are taken very advantageously (good marketing ;) ). But despite that we had a good stay, felt safe and comfortable.

Close to everything you would want to see when visiting monterey, very comfortable place. Good value as well, would book again next time I come to monterey.

There's nothing major I can say I didn't like here. Request for extra towels and blankets prior to arriving wasn't done but I could have made a quick call and fixed that and I chose not to because what we had was fine.

Well priced, very friendly staff, accommodating to special requests, very close to the beach and the highway, and only a stone throw away from downtown. Would absolutely stay again!

Only complaint was the faucet in the bath was slightly detached from the wall and water shot along the wall, but the shower curtain made sure it didn’t reach the floor! And thermostat wasn’t very intuitive, but we figured it out!
