Best Western Plus Oceanside Palms

The staff is very, very personable. The hotel is clean and quiet, the bed comfortable, the cost fairly reasonable.

The breakfast disappoints. They do the bare minimum, as though to accommodate people who think of breakfast not as nourishment but solely as a process to extinguish appetite. There was no fruit other than apples, nothing whole grain, no nuts, no raisans, no skim milk, no nothing other than some eggs my wife thinks are reconstitued from some mix and some horrible looking greasy sausage that no one in their right mind would eat. It's all just highly processed junk food, even the yogurt, really. Also, beware of the bathroom door. It's unusually wide and the way it's positioned (due to no fault of the hotel itself but to the architect) if not shut completely is precarious. An inattentive person can painfully crash into it.

Loved the location, breakfast, pool area, staff, and other facilities. We stayed with an infant and had a pack and play in our room upon arrival with extra towels and pillows. Third floor over looking the view and could see the ocean in the distance. Also loved that our condos opened for fresh air but also had a quick working AC. Comfy bed with a small closet. Stayed in the room with a kitchenette and honestly overall was one of our fav stays we have had. Easy walk to food, beach and had water and coffee always in the lobby. Could use a bit of updating and hot water took a min to warm up, but that was our only comment. We will hopefully be back!!

Needs some updating to the rooms and quicker water heater

Everything looked new; breakfast foods had a great selection and well cooked; orange juice and coffee were fresh. There was a fabulous pool and jacuzzi. The decor was modern and chic. The bed was firm and very comfortable. The sofa bed, furniture, carpet appeared new. Room had a good size, functional refrigerator and microwave. We had great room service every day. The beach was two blocks away. Restaurants and fast foods nearby. Plenty of free parking. Neighborhood and hotel area appeared safe. My only concern were the water flow in the shower was weak and lighting in the room was dim. Wish the flow from the shower was stronger and more lighting in the room. Disliked the hotel would not take cash payment.

Stayed for two nights with each day the main breakfast item changes which is a nice touch. Ample seating and clean all around. It is near a base so they say a lot of contractors and military families stay here through out. The check in team were super friendly and answered questions as needed. There's a little indoor glass water fountain that looks like a minecraft portal according to my young son. Downtown Oceanside is 3-5 minute drive. The Harbor Beach was cold but we walk the dock.

All was well. I needed a shower seat, since I was using a rental motor scooter. Seat could have been a little smaller since it was a little too big for the shower stall and quite bulky and large for others to work around when showering and the seat was not in use. I did however request it after I checked in so perhaps that was all that was available.

Everything was fine and the staff was extremely helpful when we needed them.

the breakfast was ok. I didnt care for the sausage or the bacon to greasy! waffles were great liked that you had a choose of sugar free syrup or reg, very clean and the people who take care of the food were very nice!

I wanted rewards since I stayed there a week. But because i went thru another party she said I wasnt qualified to get rewards, I really dont think that should matter because Best Western if still receiving the profit. I was very disappointed with that, I think you may change that policy.

The location was great! Everything was clean. The best part of the hotel is the staff. we had several things we needed and the front desk figured it out and made our stay so smooth. All the housekeeping staff were friendly and kind. Thanks for having such great people working at your hotel. I will come again and I recommend it for anyone.

The breakfast was a little disappointing. Several of the juices were out. There was no fresh oatmeal just packets and the waffles were really tough, like the batter was weird. The other thing was the bathroom door didn’t lock which was a problem having our 2 year old grandson who likes to open doors.

Beautiful property! Palm trees, fire pit, outdoor patio, indoor bubble waterfall, pool is nice, drive way and parking excellent-easy in easy out. The property very clean!

No water bottles in the room. When asked they stated the had a water dispenser on the first floor by check-in if I wanted water I’d have to go down to get it. I also asked if they had pitcher’s or something to carry water up to the room and they said no only small 8 oz cups. I was on the 3rd floor so that was going to be difficult. I had to leave the premises just to go buy water bottles. Water is always a must have for the customer’s. If no water bottles then at least pitchers to carry water for the family.

Breakfast ..the staff working in the breakfast area and size of eating area was wonderful!! The location was perfect(IN AND OUT BURGER RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET) Oceanside Harbor was a 2 minute drive.. freeway entrance to the 5 freeway was 200 ft away. We had 2 rooms facing the street that runs past this hotel ( COAST HIGHWAY) rooms 341 and 343 and we couldn’t hear ANYTHING OUTSIDE! Big bathroom… wish room had been bigger but will come back to this place forever! I love the harbor in OCEANSIDE and this place was PERFECT! Shout out to John at the front desk and the cool guy outside that was maintaining the pool and jacuzzi.. very friendly..very accommodating.. loved having elevators and the laundry was just below us on second floor right off the elevator! Perfect stay!!

The room was a bit small but comfortable and clean. We had all the things we needed. The breakfast was just ok. Wasn't horrible wasn't great. Need to have a bit more options for juices and for breakfast meats. Potatoes dsint taste very good. The staff was amazing and helpful. I would definitely return again.

The room was clean and we had everything we needed and also we had a partial view of the ocean from our room which was an unexpected surprise. I really wish you had balconies so we could sit and enjoy the view.
