The pool area is great. It is not the largest pool, but there was ample seating all around, access to drinks (though extraordinarily expensive), and there was a good vibe. By my own tastes, they consistently played great music (Motown, 90's and 2000's hits) and it wasn't too loud. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

Food and drinks are exorbitantly priced. To be fair, all food and drinks are expensive in Palm Springs, but everything here is $5-$10 marked up from that standard. I could also have used more natural light in the rooms, but this is not a huge deal as I don't take vacations to spend time in my room.

Cute hotel, but we had some issues in terms of atmosphere. I have stayed at multiple hotels in the Palm Springs area, & this one definitely is the most overrun by kids! We had great service from the bar staff and enjoyed our food, but we were a little bit disappointed by the inability to have an adult convo and I had kids kicking me in the hot tub.

Rather overwhelmed by the energy of the children by the pool. It definitely did not have an adult or relaxing vibe! Wished there could have been a little more relaxation for the price of the stay.

The checkin process was smooth and the vibe at the lobby was very helpful. The room itself was nicely appointed with sort of mid-century kitsch with nice touches all over. The view out the room of the pool and the snow-capped mountains in the distance was beautiful. Complete with elevator music playing over the pool and lounge area! The front-desk people were very helpful suggesting some restaurants in the area that weren't tourist traps. They even had bar trivia in the attached cocktail lounge the evening we stayed. The overall atmosphere of the entire place was very retro-cool.

I'm not sure they have control over this but the shower water was very sulfurous-smelling? Which is probably good for you (like a thermal spa).

The facility was excellent! It has everything that was advertised except the “lazy river” that was mentioned in a few articles, which was confusing. Diner had great food and provided room service, which was much needed after a day driving around Joshua Tree National Park.

There was a set of empty glass bottles and other dining ware near our entry that was never removed for the 2 days we were there. I found this to be a bit dangerous since it was right next to the stairs. Our stay was short so didn’t bother to call it in, but would think people walking the grounds would have noticed.

firstly it’s beautiful, location and the whole aesthetic of the hotel is great. The staff and also the music at the pool were the best part. send me that playlist please… Particularly, there was one member of staff whose name escapes me - on reception, they helped us by recommending some amazing restaurants and just were generally great. I don’t remember her/their name but she would remember the annoying English woman asking for Italian and steak who extended her stay because she loved it too much!

Everything was superb! Pool jacuzzi misters drinks food - service/staff - especially the room itself! Spacious/clean/funky cool/beautiful bathroom and great toiletries & towels/TV and mini fridge perfect working condition - bed was hard and comfy the way I like w/great pillows. And the best part of our room was the fabulous huge private enclosed patio with ample sitting to throw my bday pizza party! added bonus was view of mountains all around us/beautiful landscaped grounds and easy parking....can't wait to stay there again!

Resort fee bit high

It’s “so Palm Springs”. The view, vibe, dogs, cocktails and pool. The Ace has soooo much character to offer. The crowd was super diverse, young and old, families and singles. But it just worked. Everyone had a really good energy about them. The rooms are super cool, insane minibar, nice body products and moody lighting. All the little things have been thought of. When we checked into our room there was a radio playing music, which set the tone for a great few days ahead. You (almost) don’t even need to leave. There are multiple dining options from a cool diner to poolside. And did I mention the cocktail list? Wow. You won’t want to leave the pool area. There’s always something happening here, a band, yoga, stargazing.

Rooms were a little dark (we were working a lot during the day) but it didn’t impact our stay.

The pool is awesome and the fact that it's open until late unlike so many other hotel pools makes it the heart of the hotel. This was our second time staying at the Ace and it still remains a great hotel. The food and drink options are always first class. Busy on the weekend and chilled during the week. I'm sure we will be back again.

I liked the bed it was comfy. I liked having patio space with a fireplace

House keeping tended to come around 8:30... too early! I didn't like no ability to open a window for night time air. Our first night we struggled with the heat. We eventually figured it out. I didn't like how the seating didn't take advantage of the fireplace. Would be nicer oriented to and around the fire

Great vibe and relaxing feel to it. Would go again

Didn’t realize they hold weddings almost every weekend this time of year. Not an issue unless you’re trying to go to bed early.
