Inner courtyard was very nice with lush plants and clean swimming pool & hot tub. Staff very friendly and helpful and kitchen facilities were very good. Nice to have onsite parking. Hotel seemed very secure.

We had never spent $400 a night on a hotel room and have traveled extensively for over 50 years and have stayed in much nicer rooms for 1/4th of the price! The room had been cleaned, but it was very dated and not inviting at all. Some 9of the walls were dirty and needed to be repainted. In the bathroom upstairs next to the tub was a significant wall repair that was unsightly. Certainly not what we expected for what we paid!

This is a cozy little hotel just outside of downtown Palm Springs. The staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The pool and outside area are filled with tropical plants and there seemed to be enough tables and chairs for everyone. Misters were a bonus on hot days. They offer a very full continental breakfast (cereal, toast,, boiled eggs, packaged muffins) and have a full kitchen available for guests to use. There are also bikes which are free for guests to use. The room was clean and nicely decorated. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

The plumbing worked but needed a little tweaking to address a leaky shower faucet. There is nothing else that we didn’t like for found problematic.

The Hotel California Palm Springs has everything and then some for an enjoyable stay in the beautiful dessert environs. The hotel is and ideal place to hunker down, relax, and enjoy the Palm Springs sunshine poolside all day long. The pool area patio, which is surrounded by just the right amount of flora and much greenery, gets abundant sunshine until pretty much until sundown sundown, and even after the sun goes down; you can still hangout in the patio (cold beer or chilled glass of wine in hand) area poolside and bask in the twilight and then the candle light the staff provided by the staff. The hotel’s fleet of cruiser type bicycles are the perfect light mornig of late afternoon workout to go explore the surrounding neighborhoods and admire the beautiful Palm Springs Architecture. The community kitchen, where you go for the light breakfast, has a full range stove and bbq. The kitchen is very well stocked with cooking, serving, and plating utensils needed to prepare a full dinner, lunch, a more extensive breakfast or just cocktails and snacks for an afternoon/evening of just hanging out. The Hotel California is impressive in how they care for their guests. A special acknowledgement for Jessica who made my checkin welcoming and pleasant!

All of the positives and the great time I enjoyed during my stay at the Hotel California Palm Springs diminish any dislikes to the point I can’t even think of them.

everything! the whole environment is welcoming, cozy and quiet. I really loved the outside area, there is lots of green, which makes more shade and more refreshing environment. Breakfast is served from 7:30am to 10:30am in the kitchen, and you are able to help yourself with whatever they have there. besides that time, the kitchen is still open and you can still get food there, juice, yogurt, cookies. the staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is great, about 10/15 minutes from whatever we wanna do. I really loved that place.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel California. This is a small and very charming boutique hotel and is the perfect getaway spot where you can relax and enjoy the dining, shopping and outdoor activities in Palm Springs and the surrounding hiking trails. As you enter through a gate you are greeted by the most friendly and hospitable staff to check you in. We are personally escorted around and shown the amenities. There is a wonderful and inviting pool area with banana palm trees, an open fire table and comfortable sitting areas with cushioned couches and chairs. There is a Kitchen room filled with breakfast offerings. My room which was recently renovated is very spacious, clean and has a warm and relaxing décor. It is also equipped with a small refrigerator, coffee maker, iron and ironing board. The bed is so comfortable and the bathroom amenities include toiletries and a blow dryer. There are complimentary water and snacks also included in your room and a popcorn machine in the courtyard. I would stay here again and I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a cool and relaxing place to stay while visiting Palm Springs.

Staff were extremely welcoming and consistently offered assistance . While it is an older property, it has more than ample services and has a very comfortable feel / vibe to it. Not a dull cookie cutter / corporate box; with very attractive grounds and a reasonable size pool. Again, staff consistently went out of their way to ensure an enjoyable stay. Location was also very central to all we wanted to do. Chris

Only thing that comes to mind was minor latch problem with the patio gate door to parking. Not a big issue really.

Good location a little away from all the shopping etc. We received a warm greeting with a quick and friendly check, including a beverage of our choice. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. Great amenities and the outside courtyard is beautiful with a pool, running fountain, fire table, and more. This was a very quiet property among the guests who were very respectful of one another. A bonus was a cigar area to relax in after two days of sightseeing. I would highly recommend a stay here.

If you're expecting it to be completely quiet, it is located on a main street. Overall, I would not let this deter you from booking this property.

Nice continental breakfast. Welcome drink was very welcome, since we had to drive through a lot of traffic to get there! Staff was extremely friendly. Our room was quiet, and I loved all the candles that they light around the pool at night. The weather was pretty cold, so we did not go swimming, but the pool looks very nice.

Maybe a bigger rug underneath the sink would have been helpful, as the tile floor can be cool

Amazing stay at California Hotel, what a gem! Shout out to the heated swimming pool and jacuzzi which we were fortunate enough to enjoy night and day. The hotel is adult only, meaning you can use these facilities at whatever time you like (we went on a midnight dip both nights we stayed). Won't even be looking for any other hotels next time I come back :)

Beautiful hotel, excellent staff, everything about this hotel was wonderful! The management was exceptional, especially Teri, who literally never left and was there late at night taking care of the grounds and guests! Amazing!!

We didn’t get enough towels in the room, but once we inquired they came up and brought more.
