Residence Inn San Diego La Jolla

The room was a good size for our needs and I liked that it has a full kitchen. I was able to find parking close to our room and grateful that we got a room on the ground floor (no stairs to climb with all our stuff). The breakfast was plentiful and staff attentive to cleaning and ensuring the area was pleasant and well maintained. Overall it was a very good visit.

The weather was very humid. While I used the AC in the room, it also felt a bit humid in the room. Not sure there's much they can do about that. So not really a "ding" against the hotel.

I'm handicapped and there was plenty of parking by my room. Food was good. The dinning area was very clean and well maintained. The room was nice but when you bring out the sofa bed you block the access to the kitchen for a wheel chair. I had to move the couch and then move it back every morning. So please move the couch or the dresser/TV stand to make sure there is an egress path for wheel chairs encase of emergencies. The mattress on the sofa bed is bad . I felt the steel mesh under the bed through the mattress. The fridge has some dents but all else in the room was nice. Your staff at this location was GREAT !!! They all greeted every guest with a smile and were very courteous and efficient . Probably the best team I have encountered over all at any location I have traveled too. Also the hot food and muffins were prepared perfectly .

The mattress on sofa bed in room 613 is just to thin and worn out. Fridge dents look a little tacky for an otherwise nice room. The room layout should be adjusted to allow wheelchair access to the kitchen and the front door while being sofa bed is out. Also noticed that the light next to the couch has an illegal splice in it that could catch fire while moving the couch to open the sofa bed. Just put a new loner cord on it. If it catches fir under the couch no one will see it for a couple of minutes and if a wheel chair person is in the room they cant get past the burning couch.

We enjoyed having our whole family in one room, with plenty of space to spread out. The full size fridge with a freezer was a plus, and the beds were very comfortable. The main desk staff was friendly and helpful, and our kids really enjoyed the pool.

The breakfast was disappointing, as both mornings our choice was essentially soggy swiss and egg bagels or oatmeal. Also, what seemed like a family living in the hotel, was right outside our room and the children were up really early riding scooters and bikes, which meant we were up really early .. to hear them. Maybe wait til after 8 for that? Parking is tight for a bigger SUV, get there early and find an end spot.

I loved the home like atmosphere. The property was very quiet, the customer service was excellent, and the FREE breakfast was delicious!

I’ve stayed at Residence Inn several times but always in different cities and the one problem I can’t seem to get away from is the hair. There was hair on my shower walls and a couple on the bathtub floor. The last time I stayed at a different location there was hair on the body towels. I don’t work in the hotel industry but perhaps this is unavoidable, seeing as though it’s a constant issue.

The breakfast was great with a lot of food options. The waffle was the highlight! Also, the staff members were super friendly. My 8-month daughter was traveling with me, but I did not carry the crib because of the limited space in our car. The front-desk receptionist offered us a play-n-pack crib, and another staff member helps us resemble it. Highly recommend the place to those who traveling with a family.

The facility in the room was a little bit old as the place seemed to be converted from an apartment. Also, it would be nice if we were informed during the check-in that house cleaning was not included during the stay.

The breakfast was great. Room was really nice. Clean. Quiet. Man named Astep? He was wonderful. Nice pool and spa.

I didn't like paying an additional $22 to park. I found the buildings very confusing to get around and I got lost. I thought they should have optional maid service daily. I was told only every three days. For that price it should be done more.

Breakfast was great! Many options, Different on the weekend then during the week. Parking pricing should be advertised more though, that was kind of a surprise cost. Great Room! Great Laundry facility and Great people to work with! Loved our stay! Thank you so much!

some of the things in the room didn't work the best, but they made sure that it was all fixed the moment we told them about it!

we have been going through years since my son went to UCSD and with dogs there aren’t many options, it is very comfy and good enough breakfast, good location of course.

it is expensive and there charge for a lot of taxes but is San Diego.

This is an excellent location for UCSD visitors, the campus is literally across the street. We used it for attending horse show at Del Mar- it’s about a twenty min drive but the scenery is beautiful, and if you just follow the coast, you drive through the charming upscale town of Del Mar.

The furniture is a bit reminiscent of dorm rooms, but the overall layout with a queen bed in the upstairs loft in addition to the main bedroom was great. It’s even got a tv which was a hit with our teen. ( bathroom too). The kitchen was very handy and the beds were great.
