Quiet and safe location. Public transportation closed by

No room cleaning and house keeping during my 2 rooms 3 nights stay. Front Desk said this is COVID policy but not stated in Booking.com hotel information for customer awareness. Front Desk staff insisted no room rate discount for this policy which is not fair to the hotel guests.

Love the location to downtown. Everything is within walking distance to hotel. Love that Mel’s Diner restaurant was attached to hotel. Food was good, but the customer service/restaurant staff were friendly and personable. Made dining a great experience.

When we arrived the hotel reception staff were tepid at best. They were professional, but not warm and engaging. Luckily we’ve stayed at this hotel in the past and because we like the amenities we somewhat excused the “luke warm reception “ upon arrival.

This hotel is absolutely GORGEOUS. Incredibly well-appointed room (small but lacking nothing). Bathroom was just beautiful. Beds were amazing! Lobby and stairwells were downright stunning. And the staff was WONDERFUL! Super friendly and thorough.

Arrival was a bit tricky, since we needed ADA parking, and we were sent to lot accessible only by stairs. Once we checked in and figured that out, incredibly great accessibility! Also, we didn't receive cleaning service, and we weren't sure why.

I dropped an earring on the floor, when I crawled around on the floor, I noticed little bits of what appeared to be peanuts imbedded in the rug. It was also very dusty underneath the dresser, that is where my earring was found.

We had to go up and down stairs to get to the parking garage which wasn’t a problem before my surgery but afterwards it was a bit dicey going up and down the stairs after my surgery. The room was very small. OK for one person.

The room was spacious and everything was clean and tidy. The facilites were in perfect conditions and the location was excellent for our needs. We walked around, found a few good spots to eat and even rode the cable car from the stop at California & Van Ness.

We booked the room with a crib for our 2-year old kid and when we arrived (10:00PM), the crib wasn't there. Luckily, the staff was very responsive and solved the issue in less than 15 minutes.

Lovely hotel, great room, very comfortable.

This is right on the edge of the part of SF that you don’t want to be in, if you can afford to stay somewhere else. Google Tenderloin if you want to know more. We still had a great stay though. Couldn’t fault the hotel or staff.

Nice hotel, great decoration, kind staff. Rooms are small but very comfortable.

The room for my first night had a lot of street noise and I couldn’t sleep. But the receptionist managed to transfer me to a better room, facing a more quiet street for the following nights.

PK at the front desk was AMAZING. She was very personable and helpful when it came to guiding me to a good cup of coffee. Upon arrival, I was told I was upgraded to a better room... FOR FREE! They provided complimentary water. The room was clean and comfy.

Location was great for downtown cultural spots such as the Opera House and Symphony. Staff were attentive and friendly. Found a great breakfast place nearby. Just what we needed for a night in the City.

Was happy with the accommodations or staff. Parking is very limited and had small spaces.

Pros of the property, it’s very secure and safe. Downtown San Fran can be a bit sketchy, especially at night but the Marriot has security on staff at all times and gated private parking. Everything is clean and the rooms are very comfortable.

Cons, it just isn’t good value for money and the amount they charge EXTRA for parking is ridiculous. When the room is more than $200 for the night AND they charge $50 EXTRA for parking, wow. It does make you want to stay somewhere else where you will feel valued as a guest. The facilities, not much to speak of. Unfortunately the rooms themselves have very thin walls which means you will hear next doors tv or conversations, I would expect better of a 4 Star.
