I needed a place where it was strategically located between the bridge, park, and bay area, this place offered just that. The manager was extremely helpful and welcoming. He explained everything in order as well as provided me with great advice. Unfortunately as I only had a day, couldn't make it to the included breakfast and BBQ night. Bed was comfortable, the WiFi and shower worked well.
Just a small thing, to maybe upgrade the curtain for the dorm area. And wish there was a light on each bed so I didn't have to disturb other people when checking out early for the flight

Amazing, friendly, and professional staff. Very helpful. The hostel was very clean with nice amenities. There was a shared shower/bathroom area but also a private bathroom with a large shower , nice hot water, and massage option showerhead pressure(What?!?! Never seen this at any other hostel) Also, super comfortable beds in a nice airy room with a fan and large windows. Great location between the Financial District, North Beach and China Town. I would rate this hostel higher if I could. Oh they also have group events including a rooftop bbq, karaoke, and others. To say the least, this place is awesome.

Hello everyone. It's very interesting here. On one hand, the place is quite compact, so you don't need to walk far from your room to the shower and kitchen, which is really great. By the way, you can access the kitchen at any time of day to grab a bite. On the other hand, the management organizes friendly events like karaoke and rooftop dinners. This is pleasantly surprising in a lonely and cold San Francisco. Overall, if you want to spend time in a warm and cozy atmosphere, this is the place for you.

The desk staff was very friendly. The desk staff was meticulous and well managed, making it pleasant, and frequently provides guests with a meticulous array of things to enjoy, which makes it natural to socialize with guests. Even if you are an introvert, you are fully considerate. Overall, it was a very satisfying accommodation.
The facilities are not exceptional, but it's good enough when you think about the price for a stay. Don't expect too much from the budget hostel, I think it was good enough.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Assad was amazing 🤩 The toilets and bathrooms were clean. The bed was comfy. The complimentary breakfast was good. I like the fan in the room. Plenty of eateries nearby. Montgomery Bart Train station is 0.3 mile away. Been staying in this hostel for the 3rd consecutive year.
Climbing the stairs to the 4th floor was the most challenging even for an ultra-marathoner like myself. Please install an elevator to alleviate the challenge to climb 4 floors with your luggage.

Staying here was a great choice. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, there were lots of really nice events and things to do while staying here, it was very clean and well maintained, and I loved the downtown location. Would gladly stay here again!
No complaints about my stay here! I think it was exactly what I expected based on the pictures and description and think it met and went above my expectations.

The ITH Pacific Tradewinds Hostel is in Chinatown, an area well-served by public transportation. Chinatown is one of the cleanest parts of the city, and I was pleasantly surprised. The hostel is very close to several Asian restaurants. The hostel staff was exceptional in the way they interacted with the guests. The management organized fun activities for the guests every night (BBQ, trivia, etc.) and was a pleasure to deal with. The dorm rooms and the shared bathrooms are super clean and well-tended by the staff hourly. The hostel offers complimentary breakfast (eggs, pancakes, coffee, tea, etc.) and provides free ramen for lunch or dinner. They have a small yet well-organized kitchen and a fridge in the common area on the 4th floor. Wifi is free and fast. My dorm was on the 4th floor. The beds are very comfy, and the rooms are also super clean. Great place for solo travelers!
The ITH Pacific Tradewinds Hostel has no elevator on the 3rd and 4th floors. Still, the staff offered help to those guests with heavy luggage. The above is a minor con, given that climbing to the 4th floor (check-in) offers some chance for a healthy workout (unless there are accessibility issues).

One of the best hostel experiences in my migratory life. Staff was extremely kind and attentive to detail. At my arrival I was in a rush to get to City Lights bookstore on time before they close. Not only did the kind person at the front desk help me get checked in and settled quickly, they also assigned me to the bed named City Lights :) Wifi connection was excellent, the common areas cozy and welcoming, everything was very clean and the kitchen well equipped. Good communication, friendly atmosphere.

Extremely well organized hostel on the third and fourth floor of an older building in the center of the Financial District of San Francisco. Nicole, the manager, was always friendly, perceptive and helpful. She's a real talent. About half of the staff are Brazilian, which was great for me, a chance to practice speaking Brazilian Portuguese. Bedding was clean and fresh. Shower was hot. Many interesting guests at the hostel. The smaller size of the hostel, only about 40 beds, makes for a more intimate, less impersonal atmosphere. Nicole organized a barbeque one night. It was incredible eating hamburgers on the roof in the middle of the San Francisco skyline. There are many good restaurants in the area. The Montgomery Street BART station is only a 10-minute walk and runs directly to SFO airport. There are bus lines than run directly in Sacramento Street for easy public transportation.
San Francisco is a beautiful, incredible city, but it's an expensive city as well. The hostel reception location was okay for me, but it's good to be aware that it is on the fourth floor and that there is no elevator. This means walking up three tall floors, a workout even for moderately fit people. Make your life easier and learn to travel with less stuff. Massive 60 kg backpacks make no sense even for one-year journeys. A light life is a good life.

Friendly helpful and welcoming stuff , very clean toilets and kitchen, lovely terrace with a beautiful view. Comfortable bed. Spacious underbed lockers. Amazing location
The property would need some renovation. Looks a bit tired overall. Carpet should be removed and replaced with hard flooring for hygiene reasons. Maybe the 6 female dormitory is too small to accommodate 6 people . Maybe 4 people would be ideal.
