The hotel has just been recently remodeled! Lobby, Restaurant, Bar, and Pool area all brand new. Beautiful! The rooms look like they have had a bit of updating, chair fabric, but still a little dated, and furniture a little bit worn, but probably that will be the next update. Still nice tho, and traditionally classic. With that said, the beds are the most comfortable my husband and I have ever slept in!! Just WOW! Cloud! We want one! Staff was very nice and helpful. Outstanding pool service by Forest our Server. Valets were friendly, and charged up our Tesla without being asked. It was so nice the next day to not worry about it. Took advantage of the coffee bar in the AM and Wine bar in the PM. Overall we had a great experience!! 😃
Couldn’t get a pool lounger one day. Could maybe squeeze a few more in? Loved the pool, but would be awesome to have a spa too somewhere which I think they had once?!

I really appreciated the decor-- it feels fresh and modern without being as devoid of personality or color as most hotels of its peers. The location was fantastic, the staff was super courteous, and everything felt very clean. We had a room with a balcony which was great. The room service (from the restaurant downstairs) wasn't cheap but the food was very good and it felt nice and luxurious to order!
I wish the doors to the bathroom had provided a hair more privacy. The doors had vents in them and didn't do as much to baffle sound/ provide privacy as one would hope in a smallish room on one's honeymoon.

Location was great. Local eateries are in walking distance. Their own Finch & Fork restaurant was delicious. I also liked that any toiletries you forgot to bring on your trip, they have available. Oh, and endless complimentary water bottles for the win! I appreciated that they met my request of placing us in the highest floor possible.
Some of the interior decoration is outdated. For example, a Sylvania tv in the bathroom. It was only my husband and I sharing a room, but still, the lack of a door for the toilet didn't provide us any privacy when each of us had to handle our business. I know it's part of staying in a hotel, but the walls seem thin and hearing other guests go in and out of their rooms, housekeeping vacuuming and cleaning the rooms next to us and above us at 9 am were easily heard.

we was checked in to a easy access room that did not meet requirements it was bland .. we did not request that type of room - booking .com night portier at reception could not solve the situation - the woman responsabile in the morning put the situation right and all was good n well - we will visit again

The location is excellent. I always book hotels with a gym, but having access to a regular gym (Gold's Gym) is truly my dream hotel! The hotel staff were every friendly and helpful. I would return 100%.
It's unfortunate that hotels in Santa Barbara are so expensive. While I understand the hotel rate is commensurate with the market, it's still very pricey.

We asked for an upgrade and they said they gave one, but it was 2 full sized beds so it didn’t seem like an upgrade? They did give a cute bottle of wine and 4 mini macarons with a handwritten card for my sister’s 30th so that was sweet though.

Breakfast on the rooftop was excellent.
We stay during Covid. My sister and I were having a nice glass of wine up at the pool deck and security told us we had to leave. There was no one else up on the rooftop but us. It was 10 o’clock at night. I don’t understand this rule.
