Breakfast was pleasant and served on the patio the staff were very friendly and nothing was to much trouble , the location although a little out from the center of town and the beach areas was fine for us as we like to walk . The room was very nicely done bit a little cramped also lacked tea/coffee making facilities and we needed to go to the adjacent building to make a drink .

I CHOSE THIS INN BECAUSE I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED ALICE IN WONDERLAND. - AND I LOVE CATS! I LOVE THROWING MAD TEA PARTIES FOR HALLOWEEN COMPLETE WITH COSTUMES IN WHICH I AM USUALLY THE QUEEN OF HEARTS SERVING UP SWEET TEA AND DEMANDING TO BEHEAD ALL AND SUNDRY! IMAGINE MY SURPRISE WHEN I AWOKE EACH MORNING TO A CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST THAT WAS NOT DAY OLD PASTRY BUT A BEAUTIFULLY PRESENTED DELICIOUS MEAL. MY HUSBAND AND I LOVED OUR BEAUTIFUL STORYBOOK ROOM. ALTHOUGH THE WEATHER WAS COLD AND CLOUDY, OPENING THE BLINDS BROUGHT PLENTY OF LIGHT INTO OUR ALREADY QUAINT ROOM. MY HUSBAND AND I PEEKED INTO THE VACANT ROOM ACROSS FROM OURS ONLY TO FIND IT WAS NOT A COOKIE CUTTER VERSION OF OUR ROOM BUT A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ROOM - JUST AS CHARMING AS OURS WITH A BEAUTIFUL VIEW..

EVERYONE COMPLAINS ABOUT THE WEATHER BUT NOBODY DOES ANYTHING ABOUT IT. CABLE WENT KAPUTZ DURING SPORTS CENTER!! IT WOULD BE TWO HOURS BEFORE IT CAME BACK. TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES HAPPEN. BASCIALLY WE HAVE ALL COME TO THE SAME CONCLUSION WE LOVE AND HATE HIGH TECH.....

Fabulous location. It is in a quiet residential area, but just a few minutes walk from State Street and central Santa Barbara. They have an EV Charger for guests - that works! (So many chargers don't work ... ) Beautiful garden.

Just a tiny issue with information: the Inn was great at keeping in touch with us before we arrived. But oddly ... we had trouble finding the guest parking. They told us the street on which the main entrance of the Inn is, but the entrance to the parking is actually around the corner, from another street. It was a small glitch, but still ... it had us driving around the block a couple of times before we figured it out!

The staff we interacted with were super nice. We were greeted by Louise who filled us in on all the information we needed to know, codes, keys, best doors to access after hours, etc. The breakfast was excellent and well coordinated so the dining areas were not overly congested. The beautiful park like setting behind the Cheshire Cat had multiple seating areas to enjoy breakfast, drinks or intimate conversation. The massive oak trees provided shade for the plants in bloom. The location was perfect, we walked to the Santa Barbara Bowl to see a concert about 1.5 miles each way.

The house and property were gorgeous! The room my best girl friend and I stayed in was comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. I was most surprised at how delicious breakfast was! Breakfast was far and away the best I've had in any B&B. The staff was very kind and helpful-especially Simon! I really appreciated the text app platform as well. It helped our arrival to be seamless. Overall, I cannot recommend The Cheshire Cat enough! I will be back with my husband next very soon!

We enjoyed the friendly and very attentive staff who made every effort to ensure our comfort and address any special needs we had. This location is quiet, beautifully landscaped and impeccably maintained. You are walking distance to restaurants, shopping, churches and large city parks and Santa Barbara's Botanical Gardens. The owner Christine, greats guests in the morning during breakfast and shares stories about the unique property, the town or current events and their importance to Santa Barbara. The price of our stay was very reasonable considering the quality of our room, the amenities, the delicious food, the off-street parking and more importantly, the great memories we will enjoy for a lifetime that our experience at the Cheshire Cat Inn gave us.

That we could not stay longer! You won't want to leave this unique Bed and Breakfast, trust me.

Lovely property full of old English charm located in the best part of central Santa Barbara. Complete autonomy from the main guestroom and tons of free parking available. Beds were comfortable and at night the street was quiet so we slept well.

The towels were all non-absorbant because made of polyester or some synthetic material. the kitchen was not well equipped and the quality of the tea and coffee was very avergae. Simon is a friendly host and very good cook for the day's specials to be fair.

Breakfast every day was superb - I would have liked a bit more cooked breakfast with meats but the quality of everything was great. The location is really good; it's a short walk to all of the top restaurants in the area. It's quite a way away from the beach but it's nice to see all of State Street, while an uber gets you home quickly. The vibe of the hotel is brilliant too - the gardens are particularly impressive and make for an excellent start to the day with brekafast.

The room was slightly on the smaller side, with the bathroom being particularly small, but it was generally cosy. The electrics went out but they were very quick to rectify the problem ie do not expect an entirely modern facility however that is part of the experience being an older style house. Walking from the beach area is rather long so if you're trying to manage a budget it can be inconvenient to get ubers but we were ok with it.

Bramhall Cottage was perfect for three friends traveling together for a workshop. It was comfortable and had space for us to visit, relax, and make a light lunch. The homemade breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We were given options the night before via text message for breakfast selections and time of service. Breakfast was served on their delightful patio and was a pleasant way to start the day.

There was an electric car charger available on site. However, it needed to be unlocked to use it. Since we were out in the evenings, we could not use the charger because our timing didn't coincide with business hours. I have a PIH, so it wasn't a crisis for us. However, if you need to charge, check with the office in advance for its availability.

very welcoming and friendly staff. check in was a breeze. plenty of parking. room was clean and large, with a supportive mattress, hot water with good pressure, fireplace and good heating. molton brown amenities a nice touch. tasty homemade breakfast in the morning.

the tub was leaking (tap couldn’t turn off all the way), which apart from being a waste of water was also noisy at night. sound insulation not great. we would’ve liked a kettle in the room.
