The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara

Location and the activities provided, went to yoga every day of the week and road the electrical bike along the coast was amazing. The manager stepped up his game when we had a horrible service at the restaurant on site.

The service in the restaurant was very slow and disappointing and over priced. Angel Oak restaurant was over priced and over rated. The bed was too stiff and uncomfortable.

beautiful location. even on the foggy days the property still felt romantic. service was impeccable…gracious staff from the valet to the front desk to the manager.

we had some issues with the cleanliness of the room. it took several conversations with the front desk and ultimately a manager to get it fixed but they were keen to solve this for us quickly and extra accommodations were made as a result which weren’t necessary but truly appreciated. the reaction and solution to this situation makes me want to come back again!

The property is beautiful. The pools, access to the beach and rooms are all wonderful and convenient. The staff was amazing. We didn't find one staff person who wasn't courteous and helpful.

Our room was next to a busy sidewalk where golf carts were going by at all hours of the day and night. Sometimes the staff would be super loud in the evening or early morning as they delivered towels, etc for house keeping to do their jobs.

The Ritz-Carlton Baccara is a beautiful resort well situated on the cliffs above Goleta beach . Staff was very friendly and professional. My only complaint is that food and beverage anywhere on the property was outrageously expensive. A cup of coffee, latte and parfait cost $35. A light dinner for 4 at the pool bar was $200. Having said that, you are at a Ritz-Carlton and the food especially at Angel Oak was delicious!

Despite being a “dog-friendly” resort, they did not allow any pets at Angel Oak.

the view to the ocean, the spa, the pool, and the restaurants on property were great! the service was great too but we were put next to a bell service door where the employees keep the cleaning supplies so we heard them slamming the door every morning at various times of the day which made it difficult to have restful sleep. other than that it was amazing

Beautiful property. Very well maintained and clean. The staff was exceptional!

My only complaint is when someone occupied the room above us and they used the shower or toilet, the pipes were sooo loud! It was annoying continuously getting woken up from the sound.

A beautiful property to walk about. Comfortable rooms. Felt safe at the pool respecting COVID guidelines. We were able to check out at noon.

Very noisy with maintenance and challenging to reschedule room cleaning when we missed the early morning pass through. Feel uncertain as to why the resort fee was included everyday as limited pool hrs and all other closed.

Beautiful location, excellent staff, just a beautiful property. Dinner at the restaurant angel oak was amazing!

Toilet was old and didn’t function well, food at the o’bar wasn’t that great, $58 per night for parking was a bit much considering what the price of the nightly rate was.

Would have been nice to have more food choices on site. But you can’t have everything all in one location.

We appreciated the implementation of all CoVid protocol so always felt safe. We did take out for dinner. Delicious food and presentation. The room was wonderful - balcony was spacious with comfortable chairs and table so could dine al fresco, bathtub was situated so you could soak & watch TV at the same time. And there was a fireplace too! All the little details were great. Wanted a quick getaway from LA before the impending shutdown and could not have had a better time. The pool was spectacular, and access to the beach was one of the best features. We had a lovely sunset with some special wine. And the entire staff was so gracious, welcoming and accommodating. Wish I could have stayed forever!!

The $50 overnight parking fee was excessive for self parking.
