An older facility that has been kept up with loving care. Staff is helpful, check in efficient. Grounds and pool area are lush with palms and shrubbery. I enjoyed the full grown lemon tree next to my patio and the morning "rush moments" of birds and squirrels. The attached Crocodile bar and restaurant provided excellent service, great food, and generous cocktails. Ample outdoor dining is also available. Location is on upper State Street, away from the beach crowds. I traveled on a Monday and Tuesday to avoid the weekend crush.

Took me a while to figure out the TV. But that's more my lack of tech smarts than the facilities problem.

Centrally located - the SB Mission, Super Rica Taqueria. Close to Bettina @ Montecito, beaches. Booked deluxe two beds facing pool; didn’t disappoint. Very comfortable beds, spacious room but dated carpet. Table and chairs just outside the sliding doors, which when closed silenced the low-key pool noise. Pool was clean and pretty roomy; perhaps not too many guests? Overall very pleased for our one night stay for the Lavender Festival.

Front desk staff were a little slow; there was only 1 person tho 3 roaming around. Room wasn’t ready when we checked in at 3:30p after an exhausting drive (traffic; it’s summer!) Then staff argued about which room to give us. Oy!

Great price, location worked well for us as it was kinda central location, with plenty of places to eat just a short walk way. Wish we had more time to try the restaurants. We even took the bus a couple times, because it was so convenient to get us downtown and saved us $$ vs using uber. Grounds and plants inside the hotel quad and around pool are beautiful. Had a nice big outside patio with table facing the pool - wished we had more time to enjoy that. Room was spacious. We booked a week in advance and saved so much in cost staying here.

Hotel baths are a little dated, though it was real nice to have a sink both inside and outside the bath. Rugs in bathroom would have been nice.

There was a mis-understanding and we arrived late to find the room alreay given away but we were offered a free upgrade to an suite with 2 connecting rooms - leading to "Staff were very friendly and helpful." The bathroom was enormous, and the house-keeping every day was exceptional. There is a bar with the pool, which had firepits at night, which was a lovely environment to grab a drink.

organisation could had been a little better, le abut the staff did their best to assist us.

Loved the landscaping...all the lemon trees were delightful. Room was really comfortable. Bed was exceptionally comfy. Could have used another pillow or two, but we didn't ask so it's not a criticism. Nooks and crannies of room were a little dirty, but overall, clean, updated, and decent room for 2 adults. Assigned room upon arrival had a bed that was significantly higher at the foot than the head - we went and asked for a change and were given a slight upgrade. The courtyard/pool area was really lovely, and had it been warmer, would have been nice to relax in had we had more time.

TV was small (old eyes have a hard time seeing the smaller screen since we're used to large screens now!) Not a deal breaker by any means.

The room was large. The bed and especially the pillows were first class. Would have been 10/10 but I just didn't like the bathroom (it was large and useful, but felt bleak and cold). The hotel restaurant is fantastic. No need to venture out when staying at the Lemon Tree Inn. Two nights there, two fantastic meals. I recommend the Calamari especially, the best I have ever tasted.

The bathroom in the room felt a little bleak. Perfectly fine BTW, I feel a little churlish to mention it. But, the room was lovely and comfortable, A little bit of a letdown thats all.

comfortable and the staff were super helpful it was a bonus having the restaurant on site as I didn’t have a car the bus stop was just outside and was easy access into downtown SB

i could’ve made good use of a kettle and they didn’t have one. I’m not a tea or coffee drinker so the machine in the room wasn’t of any use but I do need hot water first thing and as the restaurant didn’t open until 9 am it was a bit of a wait for a hot drink. but the restaurant staff also gave me lemons for my hot water. nothing was too much trouble. however they did supply a mini fridge which was really useful

exceptional staff (efficient and polite) - incredible value - great S.B. location (midway between the beach and upper State Street - quiet - comfortable We needed a room for a quick overnight stay. This hotel is the greatest value in S.B. It was more than we anticipated. The room was large with ample furnishings. I liked the two bathroom sinks, one in the bathroom and one outside the bathroom door across from the closet. Even the restaurant was an unexpected treat when we picked up dessert to take to our room. We will definitely stay there in the future.

The bathroom toilet was too low and the lid was dated as it slammed shut. The seat was chipped and one of the underneath cushion pads was missing. The toilet should be replaced.

The location is good, unless you need the Santa Barbara beaches in walking distance. It is however only about 10 minutes from SBCC and the beaches by car. The price is decent and it is really convenient that there is a nice restaurant (Crocodile) on site, and good shopping (supermarket, liquor store, pizza and pasta and coffee shops) behind the property (walking distance). The only two major downsides for me at this property, is that there are no gym, and the free wifi really sucks to put it fairly, sometimes it doesn't even work. I have not tried the paid version if there is one, as I have only been there for leisure. But one time I was down in the reception to let them know I had a problem with the wifi, but I was told that it was the same problem in the reception, and they didn't tell me that I could upgrade to a better version. But besides that, the hotel is nice, and the pool/restaurant area is really cozy, nice and well decorated with big palms and trees. I have been there many times (almost every other week) since my son started college down here, and will stay there next time as well. Will definitely recommend the hotel, if Wifi and Gym is not a must.

Lack of Gym and below decent Wifi.

The pool is good, kids enjoyed it, the room was fine, but the carpet needs deep cleaning (my kid was running with bare foot and they were totally black after). All in all we spend one night and did not have the chance to try the restaurant which looked nice. Free parking is a good advantage. A deposit was taken at check in, but upon check out it was fully refunded.

The girl at the reception looked so tired and unsmiling, as a tourist, I expected to experience American hospitality, may be it was just my expectation..
