Great value! The google reviews were a little scary to read at first, but don’t pay them any mind. I stayed 3 nights and had an amazing experience. The room was clean, the staff is friendly, the bed was comfortable, the water got hot quickly, and the 24 hour front desk is an amazing feature as well. And the guest wifi is quite good! If I come back to Santa Barbara I would stay here again! And the guy working the front desk on Wednesday afternoon (Dec 20th) was an amazing help when my room key stopped working- he was very helpful and he’s very kind overall. So glad to leave this review for y’all.

The walls are ‘thin’, but that being said, it’s no different than any other old motel. The drains were a little slow, but I took the time to pull the clogged hair out of the drain and it was so much better.

Really good and safe location. The room was super clean and modern. Bathroom was very clean. Beds were comfortable. Exterior was nice enough. There was plenty of free parking. Lots of fast food and sit down restaurants within a few blocks. Close to freeway.

The walkway on the 2nd floor could use a power wash and new paint job. Same with the stairs. No coffee in room or at the office. Office could use a makeover.

This is a well-centered hotel right on State Street. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Furniture, bedding, and other fixtures inside the room are a step (or two) above what you would find in budget hotels.

The check-in process was a bit rough. Do not expect friendly staff. I was not allowed to enter the check-in area even though it was raining. They took my form of payment through a door, closed it, and returned with the receipt and keys.

No frills. Perfect for one night, business trip. One bed was softer than the other (2 queens). Room was clean, parking good. Couldn't get the volume to work on TV. Didn't use the wifi. Great location. 15 min from downtown/beach/mission. Conveniently located near grocery stores, restaurants, gas station, close to freeway

The rooms are renovated and very clean.

Only one tiny soap was provided for 2 people. While the need to cut the expenses is understandable, this was an extreme in a bad way. Also, no coffee in the room. Given the location, the owners might think this is acceptable but in the long run, it will impact the business.

I was happy with this hotel stay. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Im very patient and flexible. The only thing I had an issue with was the internet was slow and it went out for about an hour or so but it was fixed eventually. Also the toilet was running and I had to adjust your handle because the toilet wasn’t filled

Very clean and updated bathroom. Room was spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable. Nice big screen TV. The room was quiet. Large parking lot with lots of spaces available. Close to fast food and sit down restaurants.

Close to everything...shops, restraunts, freeway. Very clean. A basic room no frills. Which was ok with us. Our room came with a refrigerator and microwave which was a plus! We had an upstairs room which we LOVED! Don't let the outside fool you the rooms are nice.

No screen on bathroom window, but thats an easy fix. I hope they install some, it would be nice to be able to leave your bathroom window open in the morning. Cleaning products were a little too strong, but very precise cleaning crew! Very friendly and helpful ladies.

The Rose Garden Inn was exactly what we were hoping it would be: a clean and comfortable room at an affordable price for Santa Barbara! The room was clean and newly painted, the bed was new and comfortable with clean bedding, the bathroom was newly updated and there was plenty of hot water. The room was a good size and included a refrigerator, microwave and free Wifi. The grounds were clean and well kept up (with lovely flowers), and there was free parking. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We were very pleased with our stay and will stay there again!

Beds were surprisingly comfortable and the room spacious. Free parking m with plenty of spots for a Tuesday.

Bathroom was not clean. Floors had dirt and ants. The counter and area around the toilet were dirty. Towels smelled of mildew.
