Grand Hyatt Vail

Housekeeping did an amazing job always coming when we were out and the room was left spotless. Chris at the bellhop, was fantastic with helpful tips and ways to get around town. The ski in/out aspect was the move alleviating having to move boards around everywhere.

The spa wasn’t my favorite for the value of what we paid. I have been to many in Arizona that far exceeded my expectations. There was no jacuzzi that was specific for the spa only and the showers put out cold water regardless of how long you left them on hot for. I said something to the employee at the front desk and she made it seem like this was normal during the winter season. When paying $500 I expected better customer service.

Went to the Hyatt with my wife to celebrate our double birthday. It was the off season so the hotel was pretty empty. We got an upgrade for our room without even asking, and also got a nice touch in the room (wine and chocolates) for our birthdays. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, the location is great, the restaurant was very good. The massage and spa were awesome too, and the outdoors hot tub is great at night :) The complementary shuttle ride to town was very convenient to avoid paying outrageous parking fees. I'm glad we stayed at the Hyatt, instead of staying in town (which was also almost empty). We had a great time and will definitely come again!

No free parking, even if the hotel is 7 minutes away from the town, which surprised me. But I guess it's probably the same everywhere in Vail.

Close to its lift to the mountain ,beautiful view, everything is convenient, the village is 5 minutes by shuttle.

I did not like the cleaning in the rooms, they did it very quickly and not with high quality, we lived for 7 days, I think the room never be vacuumed and Just like old and washed towels, they can already be updated.

We liked absolutely everything !!! The hotel meets absolutely everything that is stated! Clean, cozy, comfortable, quiet! Housekeeping works well. Decent, delicious breakfasts in the restaurant! We will definitely come back again! The hotel is located away from the center, but it's for the best, there is a walking path by the river - just Great !!!!! Outdoor hot water pool! Thanks for the rest!

The breakfast was delicious & nothing beats a great breakfast to start off your day! The location is away from the city life so that you can relax & enjoy nature around you without worrying about traffic & the fast life!

The transportation there from Denver to Vail wasn’t what we expected, but we were blessed to have a Lyft driver that was able to drive us to Vail & back to Denver airport!

I paid for valet parking at $50 per day and to find that my car was parked outside where birds crapped on it and it was rained on was disappointing. I was refunded for the valet parking which shows how well this hotel is run.

Breakfast were great, service was good - prices are quite high ($40 buffet), so try and buy the room packages which include the breakfast buffet.

The shuttle service was less than advertised. On the phone, they say "the shuttle goes everywhere you need." This is not actually the case at all. They go to the main areas of Vail and drop you off at a specific location. This works good for the most part, we had just booked restaurants off the beaten path so the shuttle was not accessible as suggested by the front desk/concierge. Overall the shuttle was still helpful however and it was free.

The property is beautiful. It has pretty much everything you would want, including a shuttle that runs often back and forth from the villages. Pretty creek side scenery. There is a walking path behind the hotel that will take you to the villages if you walk long enough. The rooms are really cute, cozy but modern, with a large beautiful bathroom. Pool/jacuzzi/fireplace. The staff overall was friendly. The restaurant was decent for just convenient food. The lounge is huge and comfy.

Hidden fees- when I went to check out they tried to charge me a daily resort fee as well as a daily parking fee. The parking fee was $40 per night! My booking.com reservation said it included the resort fee and parking was $5. The staff made me show them the details of the reservation. I’m just shocked they don’t have the details in their system- I shouldn’t have to double check everything otherwise I would have overpaid. They brought the charges down to what my reservation was intended, but still bothers me. Also, how can you try to charge $40/night for parking with a straight face?

Great location! Will come back when ski season is in as you have access to chairlift, etc. on-site. Great to bring your dogs with the trail right there.
