Lion Square Lodge

Location was perfect - next to eaglebahn lift. Charter Sports rental in the hotel and ski concierge once down the mountain so did not have to carry skis around town. Nice hot tubs to use after skiing and a nice sauna. Room was clean and comfortable. We had 2 queen beds and 1 bathroom. Microwave and fridge were both available.

booking was a bit confusing because all of the rooms are so different it was not clear what i booked from booking.com. I think the website was better as each listing has its own photos. I probably would have opted for a slightly bigger layout. However, most of the day you are out on the slopes so a little coziness at the end of the day is fine.

Location could not have been better. This property is the definition of ski in / ski out. Located feet away from Eagle Gondola. Free valley ski service. Condo centrally located with restaurants, shops, rental stores feet away. The Jacuzzi and heated pool was wonderful to come to at the end of long skiing sessions. Amazingly, very few used the two outdoor Jacuzzies, so always were the only family using it. El Sabor, the hotel's restaurant had great food at reasonable prices! The free parking space in the gated lot made dining outside the village a wonderful option.

Beds in the condo were low quality, but the location of the property was worth the inconvenience

Right from the start we were taken care of. I was met at the door by Keith, and he took me to my room after i was all check in at the front desk. My luggage didn't make it with me, but he made sure I got to my room. He also gave us great choices for meals and even half way walked me in the right direction. Then there was Nicholas! A plethora of info and Intel. A wonderful man. Genuinely took great care of us. One very tiring ski day, he just took my skis off my hands and took care of them for me. I couldn't have been more relieved at that moment. And did someone say 3pm cookies?!?! Life savers! Something about a nice warm chocolate chip cookie at the end of a ski day. LOVE! The beautiful concierge made dinner reservations for us. The restaurant in the hotel has the best happy hour burger special in the area! The front desk ladies and gentlemen are always smiling, friendly and give great directions. I can't say enough good things and appreciate them all.

Location was awesome close to everything. Gondola right next to hotel. The room was super comfy and clean. Just perfect for two people. Nice little fridge and microwave. We loved the patio. ( we were on the first floor) higher up had balconies. Great room service. We haven’t had that since preCOVID. EXCELLENT property. Staff were all super nice. Anything you need is right outside your door a few steps away! View was beautiful along the river.

The coffe service had no filters or creamer amd virtuallyno sugar when we arrived. He's down a maid who didn't understand English and go with her to the pantry to find items. Is they inexplicably took the room robes We had to ask for a replacement so we could use the Jacuzzi. When we arrived the shower was plugged and would fill up with water. They did fix it right away though. Price for the room was kind of insane given that it was an average hotel room But the location was killer and it was New Year's

The location of the condo was awesome! Loved the patio area. Landscaping was beautiful! Very clean accomodations.

Condo was dated and could use a "refresh"; however, was very clean. Outdoor furniture was extremely uncomfortable. I think the description of this rental should state more clearly that the unit has NO A/C. If it had been any warmer at the time of our visit, it most definitely would have been a problem. The box fans provided were definitely in use 100% of the time we were there. Probably won't stay in this complex again during the summer months because of the lack of a/c. Also, the particular unit we were in was located by the door to the hallway leading to the parking garage. The window in the bedroom (which was directly beside this door) had to remain open at all times due to the heat. The door was VERY LOUD all through the day and night with the coming and going of people.

Beautiful rooms and location. You are just strips away from the free city shuttle that will take up to the village. Ask for rooms with views, as this will take your breath away. The staff were exceptional.

The only downside was “no A/C” in the room. The night sleep was not the best, and nothing can fix the bad sleep quality, with no AC in summer. This should be known to visitors before you even considering coming here.

We used the conceige although new, Dana was wonderful. She gave wonderful dinner advice and did not hesitate to make our reservations for us. She is quite an asset and so nice.

The rooms (478) was very hot. Had to keep the window open to get it down to 70 degrees>

Lion Square is perfectly placed, right at the base of Gondola (you walk out a side door and it’s there) and a quick minute to the shops. The hot tubs, looking out at the mountains, is a joy. The heated pool is also wonderful, as is the fire. I can’t imagine (and didn’t see) a better placed location. The team working there were also great, can’t wait to return!

Some parts of the hotel a little outdated…

Definitely the best part was how clean the unit where we stay was. Impeccable. With no second thoughts we will return for a longer period of time if possible to repeat our stay in this particular unit.

The housekeeping was pushy, knockin at the door at 9:30am on both days of our stay, instead to wait for us to check out or request housekeeping which we didn't use during our stay.The receptionists at the front desk are in a robotic mode customer service, not good, not bad, not rude, not happy or at least pretend to be. I guess is just a job for them to pay their Bills instead of a career, I'll suggest have a little more human touch and make the atmosphere welcoming.
